I appreciate the publisher allowing me to read this book.. this is a really interesting book that makes you think. I highly recommend
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
This book is very hard for me to review. The idea behind it was completely new to me, and I can't imagine another book like it. It did take me a while to read, only because there was so much detail throughout. It was incredibly in depth and explored a potential future where we could resurrect extinct species. It painted something of a Jurassic Park danger because of the implications if we actually could do what this book explores. Genetics is such an interesting and complex topic, and this take on it was both fictional and nonfictional.
Overall this was a great book. It was hard to read but even harder for me to review.
An amazing read that not only enlightens and shocks the reader as to what is going on in current science regarding genetics but leaves us hoping his story goes on....from a hopeless romantic waiting to hear more about Lilith and Ned.
I absolutely loved this book. There are characters to love, and some to hate, also. It's very well-written. The story, though... the story! It takes you from "what if" to "uh oh" to "oh, no... no, no, no" to "now you have to give me a sequel". I was entranced by the unfolding of a potential future, by the hopes, challenges, possibilities. "Escape from Extinction" has left me wondering where I would stand on the question of "how far should we go?". I definitely need a follow-up book!
My thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advance copy to review. This review is entirely my own, unbiased, opinion.
Thank you for selecting me to review this book. Unfortunately, despite repeated attempts to download it, and on multiple platforms, it was not available. On the Kindle app, it consists of only two pages. The other ePub format consists of only the publicity blurbs. If you can send me a complete copy, I would love to read it.
