His and hers was a great thriller to listen to on audio! I liked how the different main characters had their own narrators in this book. There were certainly twists and turns throughout and ultimately I did NOT see what was coming. I love it when I donโt guess the ending halfway through the book. The book did get a little slow about halfway through but Iโm glad I continued listening. Highly recommend this thriller and listening to the audiobook. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This is a pacey and engaging book which kept me guessing... and then second guessing!
The narrative offers the perspectives of both Anna and Jack, two exes with links to a woman who is murdered. However, there is another, third, narrator who is the perpetrator. This third voice on the audiobook is creepy and intimidating. What we don't know is whether this is Anna or Jack, or another person. The narrators for Anna and Jack are brilliant - I felt like I was listening to the characters as real people.
Anna's and Jack's recollections are somewhat hindered as there are gaps in their memory. This means we can't trust either of them. Two unreliable narrators is definitely something to contend with!! I did find that I had to suspend disbelief that both narrators had such gaps in their memory though.
As Anna's childhood memories emerge, we find out more about the connections between the characters, and potential motivations for the murder. As a result, I would guess something, and then find out more from the past that changed my guess!!
There are some great reveals and twists. The main "twist" is something I did guess but not too much in advance of the reveal.
I'll definitely be reading more books by this author.
Thanks to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for access to this great book.

Feeney has a wonderful knack for writing a compulsively readable book. I loved this one on audio and appreciated the his and her narrators. This book has some great twists and kept me guessing. I highly recommend it.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I do the majority of my "reading" in an audiobook format, so imagine my surprise (and glee) when I found out that Netgalley was now providing audiobooks...yeah! Yeah! My first endeavor was this new novel from Alice Feeney, and I was slightly apprehensive as her previous novel (though enjoyable) took some time to get going. No surprises here, as again I found this novel to be somewhat slow in the beginning. As a fan of all things involving the British, I held fast. I am so glad that I did. This was a great psychological thriller and I truly thought I had it figured out, which was the author's intent. She truly has a way of weaving her stories and misguiding the reading, which is her special ability.
I loved the points of view from the three characters which just added to the intrigue. The twist af the end was completely shocking....this author is definitely one of my new favorites!

I just loved everything about this audio book.
This audio book deserves a five for the narrators who made the story come alive and the story itself deserves a five.
The story is told through three different voices. His, hers and the killer. Is the killer her or him or somebody else? I never have read or listen to a book where I made so many wrong guesses. As all my suspects get killed of one after another which makes my hope that it can be neither him nor her goes up in smoke. Neither he nor she is very likable but they are not bad people so I have a hard time pinning the murder on either one. The end will surprise you. In an audio book the narrators can destroy a story or bring it to live as you are listening. Here you felt that each character was talking directly to you the listener that you almost felt like they had a personal conversation with you.

I absolutely loved this as an audiobook, the narrators did a brilliant job, the story kept my interest and I found it to be very suspenseful!

The him narration was hard to hear at times because of the voice actor even when I had the volume up all the way. The Her narrator chapters were better to understand.
I DNFed this one at 70% I ended up just losing interest in this one. I thought I was going to love it.

Oooooooo. This is a thriller with a body count. I listened to this audiobook through Netgalley. They just started offering audiobooks through their app. This story is told through 3 voices: His (Richard Armitage!!!!!!), Hers (Stephanie Racine) and The Killer using a voice distorter. I have to say that I suspected so many different characters and I was fooled. The last 2 hours, I didn't multitask, just listened. I checked my pulse and it was 103 -- yikes! ๐คฃ It's 82 right now so I guess writing reviews aren't as scary.
Thank you #NetGalley #his&hers

Definitely one of the best narrated audio books I have listened to and I have listened to a bunch of them. First of all, though, story was great...I was focused the entire time trying to connect the clues to figure out "who done it". Did I guess it? I thought so many times (after changing my mind) I had but...maybe I did...maybe I didn't . I don't want to give that up for the other listeners :) The narrators (and yes there were a couple for those of you who prefer that approach) played the characters beautifully. I actually would have guessed that there were more than two they did so well. The variation of pace, accents and enunciation across the characters were very engaging. There are very few books I would recommend listening to over reading but this is one of them - well done!!
Thank you NetGalley, Macmillan Audio and Alice Feeney for the advanced copy in return for an honest review!

His and Hers is a twisted and super creepy thriller filled with twists and turns and little details that continue to spin the story into a masterful whodunit. Alice Feeney is VERY good at misdirection and kept me guessing until the very end as suspicion kept making the rounds on the characters.
The writing is fantastic, with a change in tone that matched each POV change. The use of voice modulation for the narration of the killer's chapters in the audiobook was a fantastic touch.
I was very quickly sucked into this book and didn't want to put it down. It is quite dark, twisted, and violent, but I still enjoyed the plot and the execution of the story. The intricacies of the narrative were just magnificent.

What a fun and crazy thriller! This book zigs and zags all over the place to keep you guessing and questioning your theories of what's going on. The reveals at the end were great and I was really satisfied with the ending.

His & Hers is a gripping psychological thriller that centers around a former couple, Anna and Jack. Anna, a TV presenter, finds herself covering a murder of an old friend to try and get her dream job back. At the same time, her ex-husband and detective, Jack, has his own connection to the murder victim and finds himself pulled in deeper as heโs charged with solving the crime. But the bodies keep piling up, evidence goes missing and turns up in Jackโs car, and heโs increasingly becoming a suspect in his own investigation. All the while, Anna seems to have some connection to each scene. Secrets abound and someone knows the killer. Interspersed between Jack and Annaโs chapters is an unnamed narrator - our killer.
I listened to this on audio thanks to @netgalley which was excellent. The unnamed narrator uses one of those voice scramblers which on audio was really successful at being haunting and eerie. As the audiobook progresses you can HEAR the mounting tension and panic in Anna and Jackโs voices as the story progresses and the flurry of action at the end had me on the edge of my seat.
While the ending was very engaging, I felt that there wasnโt enough sprinkled in throughout the journey to figure out who did it and there was some fluff sections that didn't add much in the end. Some parts in the middle lagged and felt a bit unclear. And while I saw some of the twists coming, I didnโt see others, which helped keep me dialed in. There were parts I audibly gasped at, but some of the time in the middle made me sigh and roll my eyes.
Overall the endingโs break-neck pace takes hold of you and doesnโt let up and brought home the story. Anyone looking for a crime junkie quick thriller should check this one out. This was very entertaining and felt like a fun twist on the genre.

Oh wow! I have heard so many things about this book and i am so darn happy i got the opportunity to listen to it.
The book was so graphic, each and every scene, i felt i was there, the way everything was described, it was just amazing. I this book is nothing like i thought it would be, it was even better.
Ok, so the Her, is Anna who is an investigative reporter, and the His, is her ex husband Jack who is a detective. Anna and Jacks story is heartbreaking, they were married, and then they went their separate ways, they had a daughter, it was just too sad.
But this story has so many twists! and Anna has a wild backstory, going as far back as her teen years, I was shocked! The past comes into play a lot in this book, which is a MUST! this book was very entertaining, and at times funny, heartwarming, bloody and mind blowing.
But that ENDING!!! Aaaaaahhh OMG! Completely not expected!

REVIEW - HIS & HERS (Audio)
by Alice Feeney
First of all, this was a phenomenal reading experience for me. Kudos to both Richard Armitage and Stephanie Racine for giving justice to the voices of Jack and Anna, they are just the perfect fit for the characters. The tone, emotion and pacing of their narration is clearly impeccable. The story by itself is already quite riveting without a doubt but paired it with the narrators' amazing performance, you sure have a 5-star listening experience to enjoy. There was never a dull moment throughout that even the groundwork and background of each characters' story is something you will also pay close attention to. It started with a distorted voice of one of the characters, for which I initially lay blame on to a bad audio download *lol*. However, that particular element of this version was simply brilliant. I loved every minute listening to this and would have devoured it in physical copy. Definitely one of the books you should not miss this year.
Thank you Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holy moley what a wild ride!! Just when you think youโve figured it out, this book hits you with three more twists thatโll have you second guessing everything youโve learned so far. The story itself was extremely interesting, suspenseful and well thought out, & I enjoyed the different perspectives that it was told in. Since so much happened in the book, I was glad that they had that final chapter in there that really explained and broke down everything.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. The ending took me by surprise. I devoured this book in 4 days. I wanted to listen to the audiobook all night but I had to physically stop myself from staying up all night just to find out whoโs the killer. Iโm in such a thriller mood now from this book. I felt like I guessed who the killer would be but then it was twist after twist. It was very dark though. The audiobook had a third narrator and it was perfect. It felt so creepy and just really put me in the mood for a thriller to read at night. Amazing, Addicting, and Perfect thriller read.

Anna Andrews is an important BBC Newscaster in London on the 1 oโclock lunch hour broadcast. She has worked her way up from the Correspondence Desk after Cat Jones went on maternity leave and never seemed to come back. Until she does out of the blue, and Anna is pushed back to her old job. โฃ
DCI Jack Harper is an officer in Blackdown, a sleepy village, his childhood town that he has returned to and lived for the last two years after a life altering tragedy. โฃ
The sleepy little village of Blackdown is about to get lots of notoriety after a murder victim is found. Anna is sent to cover the story and Jack is the lead detective on the investigation. โฃ
They both knew the victim VERY well, and one or both of them may know more that theyโre willing to tell. The thrilling story unfolds, alternating between Anna and Jackโs perspectives and keeps you on your toes the whole way through.โฃ
โฃ
His & Hers was a mystery but also told a heartbreaking and horrifying story of how troubled childhoods can shape the adults of tomorrow. The events of the past are what brought about this fast paced thrilling story. There was never a dull moment and involved a lot of intricate players. Each character whether big or small was an important part of the story and made it complete and thoroughly interesting.โฃ
Usually I know who dunnit by the half way point but not this book. I was never sure who the killer was. One minute I thought it was this person, then another, then back to my original person. When I finally had an inkling as to who the killer really was I actually put that out of my mind thinking no way was that possible. But thinking back Ms. Feeney did leave some breadcrumbs for the readers to follow. โฃ

Anna was such a sad character. I just wanted to comfort her through the whole story. She came off as a strong person on the outside but she was drowning in grief and loneliness on the inside. She had been through so much in her life including times in her youth that included the murder victim and all her little horrible friends. She also had a very strong motive to off the MV.โฃ
Jack was kind of screwed up and lost. And a bit weak. But he was a nice guy. But he also had a strong motive and not a whole lot to lose.โฃ
I loathed Rachel, Torrey, and Helen. Especially Rachel who was the ring leader. The way those women were as young girls and the women they turned into was despicable. But they definitely were entertaining and brought grit to the story. โฃ
The other supporting characters, Annaโs mom, Catherine Kelly, Cat Jones, Richard (The Camerman), Priya (Jackโs partner) were all just as important and brought more pieces to the puzzle and added more bits to the story as well as shedding possible guilt on them as well. โฃ

Richard Armentage and Stephanie Receine did a remarkable job as Jack and Anna. It flowed so well you had no idea they were reading the lines. They really brought the story to life. And the Creepy Killer Voice gave me goosebumps! โฃ

It was just such a fast paced, interesting book with complex characters, that kept me flip flopping and guessing till the very end.โฃ

Kept Me Guessing
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for my first advanced audio book listen on NetGalleyโs new audio book app. The book is narrated from three perspectives, his, hers and the killerโs. The murderโs voice was done in the pixelated voice scramble that was so creepy I couldnโt listen to the book at night! The author certainly had me suspecting most of the characters throughout the book and in the end I was wrong about โwho had done itโ. An enjoyable ride for a thriller book. 3.5 half stars rounded up to 4 because audio was so good.

This book is told from 3 different points of view. Anna who is her and the 1pm lunch time broadcaster. Jack is him and also Anna's ex husband. Then the murderer. I love how the audiobook has distinct voices for each one. Each new clue keeps you on your toes. I didn't see the ending coming.
Thank you #NetGalley for this audio version of His & Hers by Alice Feeney

This book is super tropey and soapy and I loved it! The dual POVs worked really well and the POV of the killer hinted at someone being unreliable. It was great! I love trying to guess the twists of books and while did guess some of them, there were others that did surprise me! With some small town secrets thrown in there, I was hooked! Really enjoyed this one!!
