Here’s the thing- I’m not giving any synopsis. GO IN BLIND. Go into this completely clueless because it will take you on a ride that will leave you reeling. I’m not exaggerating when I say that my jaw dropped several times. I craved the next chapter of this book when I wasn’t reading.
The funniest thing here is that I kept thinking I had guessed the plot twist early on. I got upset about 20% into it because i thought I had figured out the whole plot early. So young and naive. Things changed constantly! I kept thinking I had it figured out but Feeney wrote this book in a way that keeps you guessing until the very, very end.
Alice Feeney has officially become an author that I will devour anything she publishes.

From the first notes of the eerie music, I knew this was going to be a good listen. The voice of the killer was quite sinister and did a great job of leading the reader astray. Exes Jack, a detective and Anna, a reporter, find themselves thrown together when a killer is on the loose in the village they grew up in. Things heat up as both know the victims and things start to look like Jack just might be the perp in his own investigation. He lets us know he’s being framed, but is he, or is he an unreliable narrator. There are things Anna isn’t telling us either. With two sides to the story, we are left a bit unbalanced all the way through. If you think this is an easy case to solve guess again, and when you think you’ve figured it out the second time, keep guessing because this is quite the twisty story! Well done!

There are 2 sides to every story; yours and mine, ours and theirs, his and hers.
His & Hers tells the story of Jack and Anna, ex’s spouses, as they follow a murder investigation in their hometown of Blackdown. Anna is a BBC journalist there to cover the case, although she’s very hesitant to do so. Jack is a detective who is suspicious of her involvement until he’s a suspect himself. This book alternates between their 2 perspectives, and the killers, and had me guessing right to the very end. I had so many theories and I felt misdirected with every new chapter. I love that I never figured this thriller out.
I listened to this book on audiobook with Stephanie Racine and Richard Carmitage narrating. I was captivated with their voices immediately from the opening lines of the killer to telling the two sides of the story. They brought the book to life and did a wonderful job. I couldn’t stop listening!
His & Hers by Alice Feeney will be available to the US on July 28th. Thank you to @netgalley and @macmillan.audio for the advance listener copy in return for my honest review.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. NetGalley has started offering audiobooks and the narrators were spot on. There is a character whose voice is distorted and i loved it because you wouldn’t get that in a print copy, Anna is a BBC presenter in London and her ex, Jack, is a cop in the town where they grew up. When one of Anna’s friends from school is found dead, she is sent to cover the story. Jack is the officer in charge and he doesn’t want anyone to know that he was sleeping with the victim. As the bodies pile up, it’s obvious someone wants revenge. Who? Why? This book kept me up guessing and i was still wrong!!!!! I love that an author can do that tome. I’m glad it was in audio so that I couldn’t skip ahead to see if i was right. Can’t wait for the next book from Alice Feeney. READ THIS BOOK but plan on staying up to finish it,

4.5 stars! Holy moley, what a twisty, crazy ride this novel is! In what is sure to be known as her best book yet, Alice Feeney delivers a tour-de-force of epic proportions. Told from different points of views of the police officer/ex-husband & the news reporter/ex-wife, His & Hers outlines a murder in a small town & the way it is effecting them both. When listening, as I did, you also get the REALLY creepy voice distorted POV of the murderer. And it’s definitely NOT who you’d think!
Thank you to NetGalley for an early release of the audio book.

I struggled with this audio book at first, I wasn't sure I wanted to give in to this story of unlikable characters and slow, creepy voices. I stuck with it, and it paid off. The story got more and more interesting as it progressed and the voices made sense for the mood and purpose of the book. I could say I guessed at one point "who did it", but really my correct guess was one of many incorrect guesses and the twists and turns altered my perception of the unfolding mystery. Normally I would go right back and re-read to see the plot with new eyes, knowing where it is going, but this one is too dark to go through twice. That said, the one time was engaging and kept me on my toes.
I received an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This audio book was awesome! I love how we had a disguised voice for the murderer, That was so unique and had me guessing right up till the end. I wouldn’t say that all the twists were surprising but I loved how it all played out!
Thank you netgalley for the audio book of His and Hers by Alice Feeney for my honest review!

I have always said there are two sides to every story. Well, Alice Feeney proved that to be true! This story grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go! DCI Jack Harper and his ex wife Anna Andrews (BBN News reporter) are dragged into the middle of the murder of 2 women. Jack is trying to solve the murder with Priya the new cop. Anna is trying to report on the murders. The murders take place in their home town and with people they know. Every character you hear about leaves you believing they are the killer. At one time, I thought I had figured out who done it. But I was completely wrong!! That ending though 😳👀! Well done Alice Feeney!! This was my favorite book of hers yet! I would give this book hands down 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s!!! Thank you so much to NetGally for this advanced audio book!!

OMG people!!!! This audiobook was the creepiest thing Ive ever heard! One of "his" parts was through a voice distortion and the oddity of the sound made the insane words it spoke one of the creepiest things ever! Awesome job on the audio!
As for the story, Alice Feeney has done it again with a thriller that kept me guessing, I must've changed my mind four times on who dunnit, and never guessed right. I loved the psychological insights that Ms. Feeney so obviously has on the human heart and mind and I love the twisted way she thinks!!!! A five star audio and a five star story, win win!!! I highly recommend!!

Thank you so much NetGalley for the chance to listen to this early release audiobook in exchange for an honest review!
This book is stunning. Between the cover and the characters, the story and all the plot twists, and the flow of the book and soothing narration, I was left in awe.
In His & Hers, we follow the story from two character's perspectives.
Jack Harper is a detective in small town Blackdown, where the murder of a local woman takes place, which sort of kicks off the story.
Anna Andrews is a BBC news correspondent, who is sent to cover the story of the murder in Blackdown.
Through the story we get to learn how each of them has a deep history with the town, as well as the victims, and how that plays a role with the murders that take place.
This story does start out and continues through most of it at a pretty light -but not 'cozy'- and steady pace, but does get dark....suddenly, which only added an extra layer to this story and made me like it even more.
There are so many twists and misleading elements in this story, I was glued to my phone - I couldn't stop listening!
The narrators for this audiobook are honestly, phenomenal. They have a way of reading that grabs your attention and draws you in and makes you want to hear more. Their voices and tones are soothing, not to the point they will lull you to sleep, but are just very comforting to listen to, additionally, they compliment each other well. They use inflection of their voices positively to keep you on pace with the story, and they do a great way of making you feel completely engaged with the events happening. The transitions between each chapter, from Jack to Anna, is also so seamless and clear, you don't feel as if you've missed any aspect of the story or their investigations. Any time I thought I was coming to a good "break" point, the next chapter started up with an attention grabber and I just had to keep going. This is definitely one I would gladly listen to, rather than read.
The audio quality itself was also very impressive. It was extremely clear with no static, lagging, or skipping, and there weren't any parts with loud breathing, swallowing, or other unnecessary or background noises (which I've experienced with other audiobooks in the past).
I also thought it was pretty cool that the female narrator, Stephanie Racine, has also narrated other books by Alice Feeney and I like that continuity.
Overall, this was an awesome book and a great listening experience!
Trigger warnings: rape, domestic abuse, prostitution, drug/alcohol abuse.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for this audiobook ARC.
What is it about a British accent? It’s so crisp. It makes every story better. But this was a fantastic thriller. Every time I thought, “ha! This is whodunit,” I was wrong. Even to the last ten minutes! There were so many twists and turns, but that didn’t make it difficult to follow. The characters were well developed. I most enjoyed listening to Jack. The narrator’s ability to slip in the inner thoughts Jack would have was humorous and gave Jack depth. Anna reminded me a lot of Rachel from The Girl on the Train - which is a good thing, because Rachel is one of my all time favorite unreliable narrators. This was a fantastic experience. I have had my eye on this thriller for a while, and I’m excited I got to listen to it on audiobook to review. I highly recommend this one.

This book was SO fast paced, and full of twists and turns. I never ever saw the ending coming. I felt like right up until the last few minutes I was constantly changing my mind about who I was convinced the bad guy was. Which, made it a VERY fun listen.
None of the characters are particularly likable, honestly, but I found the story to be so compelling that it didn't bother me that all of the characters were flawed to the point of being grating and awful.
I really enjoyed the alternating His/Hers/Mystery person views. It made the story that much more mysterious and challenging to guess who the bad guy could possibly be.

Wow - was I pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this audiobook!
The narrator was engaging. She did well with the three different voices of the main characters in the storyline, and kept at a good pace to keep you entertained.
This story is told by Anna, a television reporter, Her ex husband, Jack an investigator and he unknown killer.
This plot is difficult to review without spoilers. There are several murders throughout the story, all related but never quite giving away the true common thread.
In the end, it was a well put together story leading to the reveal and I’m fairly certain most people will have absolutely no idea who the villain will be.
An enjoyable audiobook that I finished in one sitting!
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with the audiobook version of this story in exchange for my honest review!

This was my first audiobook advanced copy through NetGalley. There were 3 different points of view and 3 different narrators: His, Hers, and a mystery killer. I was smug because I thought I knew whodunit from the beginning, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed this one - it’s more on par with Sometimes I Lie than her previous novel. The mystery killer had a distorted voice, so I didn’t really care for that narrator, but it was infrequent enough to not be an issue. Both of the other narrators were great! Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to review this audiobook— and for finally having that option!

Thank you @netgalley and @macmillan.audio for this free audiobook.

Are you looking for a riveting audiobook performed by fantastic narrators that will make you never want to stop listening? Look no further! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 It’s rare that a thriller keeps you guessing until the very end, but that was absolutely the case here. The author makes you think every character could potentially be the killer. Now that I know how it ends, I want to go back and listen again to pick up on clues I might’ve missed. If you enjoyed Samantha Downing’s My Lovely Wife or Alex Michaelides’ The Silent Patient, then I think you will love this latest from Alice Feeney.

4.5 stars!
What is there not to love about this book? For the very beginning I was drawn in by the creepy vibes and the mystery of who exactly the narrators were! I loved the vibes through this book and how we realize that everything fits together; expected or not, the execution was wonderful! I finished this book in under 24 hours and I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great, quick pace thriller!
Thank you for so much for my ARC of these book! It's definitely going to be on my list of favorites from this year.

I liked but not loved the last Feeney book I read, but I'm pleased to say I really really enjoyed this one! It excels in keeping you on the edge of your seat and questioning everything. Where this book really shines is in the pacing. It isn't too fast that it feels rushed, but there is constant forward progress to keep you questioning and on your toes. I can't say I had the ending figured out, but I did know something was off.
The audiobook was fantastic. The creepy killer voice along with the two cast narration was wonderful. I think it really added to the experience and the narrators did a great job.

5 out of 5 stars
Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for allowing me to listen to this in exchange for an honest review.
Audio has become my favorite medium and I listen to tons of audio books and I have heard a lot of narrators, some bad some god but these narrators were fantastic! Richard Armitage and Stephanie Racine did a really good job of introducing you to the characters and of making you care about them. I also want to say the this audio book was packaged really well. You hear the POV of Anna, Jack and the killer and the killer's voice is masked the whole time. Super awesome!
After losing her job as a news reader and getting pushed back into the correspondence field again she returns to the home town she escaped from at 16 to cover the murder of an old school friend/enemy. Jack left London a few years ago and is now the head of police in the town of Blackdown only to find that the murder victim is someone whom he has been having a secret relationship.
This is a taut, well written and rather twisted thriller that is a must read this Summer!

tw: rape, animal mutilation, graphic violence
THIS!!!!THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE...is easily my favorite of the year thus far. If this isn’t on your TBR list yet you need to add it right now! If you do not pick this book up you are missing out.
I didnt read His/hers but instead listened to the audiobook version and HOLY SHIT. This isnt my first Feeney novel but it was my first audiobook and I have no regrets. Not only did Feeney write a phenonominal novel, the narrators brought it so clearly to life.
There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying. Flawless misdirection and unreliable narrators come together to form a darkly twisted, chilling, fast-paced novel.
The back and forth kept me guessing and putting pieces together right until the bitter end. Not only do we hear the story from HIS and HER persepective there is a third person, The Murderer. The alternating between ALL three perspectives had me doubting everyone, and just whenI thought I figured it out...BAM..another plot twist.
I recieved a digital copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a wild ride! Told from multiple untrustworthy perspectives, in and then & now mixed timeline, this thrilling story will have you on the edge of your seat, trying to sort out what the heck is going on! Although there was a lot going on, I loved every page of it. Alice Feeney did it again!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me a much appreciated audiobook download, in exchange for an honest review.
