Imperfect Women fell flat for me - it seems I just can't catch a break with books recently. It felt predictable (unlike Our Kind of Cruelty). The title was perfect for these imperfect characters, but I just couldn't connect to any of them and found myself rolling my eyes at times. I will continue to read Hall's work, but I hope the next one is more of a grabber.

It took so long for this to appear on my netgalley shelf app and then it took forever to download . This was my first experience of an audio book and i just couldn't follow it. Although from what I did hear I would love to read this in print!

Very good Audiobook, the narrator is gripping, clearly distinguishes the characters without annoying voices.
Sadly I found the app frustrating (but I have reported this) It stops when your phone screen times out and honestly too many times it would skip back 2 or 3 chapters, which was hard to track due the chapters not having names yet so it took me a long time to get through the book!

This was such a haunting psychological thriller, brilliantly written and unsettling from the outset. This was a harrowing account of mental and physical domestic abuse and I felt a lot of compassion for these characters. I loved how this story gave the perspectives of 3 middle-aged women, all flawed in their own way and with completely different versions of their truth.
This narrator had an excellent grasp of the tone of the story and their reading style pushed the story forward and made me want to keep reading. Their voice was distinct enough to differentiate between characters.

A very interesting thiller with a twist I didn't see coming. This book follows three friends one of whom has recently been killed. The police believe she was killed by her jelous lover with whom she was trying leave. All theough the book you see how 'imperfect' all three women are as the identity of the deceaeds lover is revelaed. Over all it is a well though out and intreguing read even if the plot lacks a little in logic at certian points.

Imperfect women by Araminta Hall.
Very good. I listened to this on the new netgalley app. Good story but I didn't like the characters. They were moany. 4*.

Nancy, Eleanor and Mary are university friends. They’ve been there for each other over the years. Then one night after a meal with the girls Nancy is murdered. As Eleanor and Mary try to uncover what happened on that evening. We discover Nancy was having an affair. She was going to end it. So who killed her? Her lover? Or did her husband know what was going on and was he responsible.
As we go on the journey of discovery, hidden secrets come out of the woodwork to discover that no one is perfect.
This book held my attention throughout. The narrator of the audiobook was engaging.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc in return for an honest review
