I found it difficult to connect with the book and confusing at the beginning, sometimes was visible, sometimes not? Couldn't really tell because of the dialogue jumped around so much. The bedroom, body image and function references coming from an angel was off kilter for me. If the character was speaking and not the guardian watching them speak I might could have found it more pallitable. Odd remarks about having so many wives and their experiences was downright weird. It is marked as a Christian book but its certainly not like any Christian book I have ever read. Sorry, it just didn't work for me & after a few chapters I just couldn't make myself finish it. That is a first for me and I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews. I know there was effort, it's just not the type of book it appeared to be.
I read advanced reader copy post publishing but was under no obligation to review. The opinions expressed are my own. Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley.

The Edge of Heaven: Angels are Among Us is an interesting read. I am giving it four and a half stars.

I do believe that angels surround us an that there's an ongoing war between the unseen powers and i know that bad things happen to good people.

I don't mind the profanity - but I do mind the description of angels being married to two wives, being born by several women over the ages.

The story is gripping, the characters are believable, but the description of heaven and of those who dwell there doesn't fit a Christian perspective (Mormon perhaps?)

I loved this book. One of those that leaves an imprint on your soul and a smile on your face for the rest of your life. Yes, sometimes it was a little lewd and crude but the entire premise of angels and guardians watching over our shoulders, riding shotgun in my truck, protecting us, giving a little nudge when we need it, or a soft whisper of reason and advise absolutely stole my heart.
And yes, I did get a little tired of the “babe and I love you’s”, but once again, the entire book as a whole was awesome. Sweet Bob was my favorite, and the bible verses was a great touch. I highly recommend. I do believe my guardian angel does watch out for me.
I want to thank BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this book for my honest unbiased opinion. This is a 5-star review. Highly recommend.

I love how each chapter ended in a bible verse.
I found it a bit too long, but besides that really appreciated the authors vision of how spiritual beings are inter-active with us on a day to day basis. Enjoyed the hat wearing, smoking guardian who had lived multiple lives, a different version of your expected guardian angel.
The story itself is sad, as life very often is. But through it all the hope eternal shines through.
