Listening to The Cherry Tree Cafe was brilliant, it allowed me to multi-task although more often than not I found my attention being drawn solely to Heidi Swains delicious story!
The Cherry Tree Cafe audio book is by a sole narrator. It's clear that Karen Cass has narrated plenty of audio books as her tone and intonation are well polished and she very easy to listen too.
The whole story is full of Heidi Swains sparkle, she never fails to deliver a wonderfully cosy read. It's a delightful and enjoyable escape to Wynbridge, full of lovable (except Giles!) characters and friendly village life.
The friendship between Lizzie and Jemma feels real and the banter between them all adds a lot of laughs to the already cosy treat of a story.
Lizzie's journey to self realisation and a happy ending is constantly hampered by an interfering mother, an exasperating love interest and at times herself(!) but she always has her straight talking dad and loyal best friend to ground her.
A thoroughly wonderful listen.
