I found this book to not be very enjoyable.
I usually love enemies to lovers, and while this book had that, verging onto bully romance, which I also enjoy, I just didn’t like any of the characters.
Logan and Danika both felt like two dimensional people and their relationships with others were explained in the briefest way and we were just meant to accept it.
It also used some strange language choices. Going from using the ‘C’ word one moment to calling someone a wench the next.

This is a good story dealing with various difficult issues with flawed and broken characters. Part 1 gives the reader the backstory into the characters that has resulted in the people they are today. Logan has experienced various horrors in his childhood leaving him to be withdrawn and angry. Danika is sweet and witty. It is her kindness that affects Logan the most. Terrified she will reveal his past horrors is what results in the enemies to lover aspect of their relationship.

Thank you NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and Bailey B. for gifting me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Ugh. I wanted to like this one because the reviews on Goodreads is so good, but I just really didn’t like it.
I wasn’t a fan of either main character. They were both incredibly immature and it all just came off as trying too hard. I was rolling my eyes far too often. I ended up DNF this at 30% because I have too many books to read to spend time on one I don’t enjoy!

Not my cup of tea
I tried really tried but this had grammar errors
Twisted plot and not logic trope driven development
Too much drams and juvenile dialogue stereotyped
I tried really I swear but I found this not a book but a book to be
This should be edited and corrected
2 stars for the good will

Finally a book to get me over my reading funk! This is the book I have been wanting since I read 'Beautifully Broken'. I love Logan. I can't wait until the next one. Thank you [author:Bailey B.|15235895] for writing great stories!

I definitely recommend it. I wish I can read the next book!! I can't wait to see what will happen to them, since Danika is now pregnant! What! BUT the question is...... what happened to the baby, did she decided to give the baby away or keep it? I love the writing style of Bailey! She's a new author but her technique and choice of words is stellar.

Was a very good book, but does discuss issues of sexual/emotional/physical abuse. The relationship between the two characters and all that they go through before finally finding someone to connect to is very sad, but leaves you with positive thoughts and hope. Can't wait to read the next book.

I will have to admit, this book took me a little bit to get used to. It had nothing to do with the writing style, which was fantastic, but rather was because it was broken up the way that it was. I struggle with that because I want to get to the good stuff. Had this blurb not drew me in, I am not sure I would have read this. However, even though, I prefer my books to be told in the present and then have flashbacks worked in, that still doesn't take away from the fact that this was a great book and that I am glad that I took the chance.

Logan broke my heart. His life and what he has endured. Holy hell. Give him some happy things and all the unicorns, and ice-cream that he can want to make up for what he had experienced. Danika. The love of this girl was beautiful. The connection between these characters was poignant especially for how young they were.

I had a lot of moments that I wished that this book had the present moments mixed in, just because I wanted to see where they were. I can only imagine that the next book will be painful in its own way but also beautiful as these two characters get to where they were destined to be.

DNF'd around 5% - this book feels long for a YA romance, and the way the author writes high schoolers feels like they've never really been or talked to one. The setup really doesn't seem to be enemies to lovers since we know both characters like each other from the beginning. Descriptions feel intentionally vulgar, and the introduction feels very much like the beginning of a 2000's teen movie. The character interactions feel very cliche: in the opening scene, we have a mean girl, a guy hitting on the "new girl", a guy making gross commentary about another girl being a slut, and a guy punching the other in a "protective" measure against the commentary.

I Hate You, I Love You Part 1 : An Enemies to Lovers Romance, has characters that are so well written you feel like you know them. In terms of plot it's not overly original, but it's easy to read and great way to pass a few hours.

Two damaged teenagers yearning for something to make them feel whole. Danika and Logan were inseparable as kids until Danika moved away. Now that she has moved back years later, everything is different, but yet everything is the same as well. Logan, terrified Danika will reveal past truths about him, pushes her away. Eventually things come to a head and they realize what they have known all along...they were made for each other.

Ending on a cliffhanger that will make you want to learn more, author Bailey B. has crafted a friends to lovers romance that goes deeper than most. She has added depth to these two characters, particularly Logan. Logan has endured abuse, both physical and sexual, which has formed him into the person he is. Overall, a story that is easy to dig into and follow. You want to root for the two characters to come together. At times the story line is a bit extreme and hard to believe. Did poor Logan really have to endure abuse at both the hands of his father and therapist? But, unfortunately, that is the reality of some individuals in the world today. I will certainly read part 2 when it is released to see the conclusion of Logan and Danika's story.

Danika has just moved back to her hometown after being away for three years in California. She moved so that her mom could gain cancer treatment, sadly, she passed away. So her dad has decided that they should move back. Not only is Danika the 'kind of' new kid at school but she has moved in next door to her old friend Logan. Although he seems to have changed quite a bit since she last saw him.

Logan has toughened up from the loner he was at middle school. Standing for no crap and gaining the attention of almost all the girls, not that he is looking for anything serious. Melody might want to call herself his girlfriend but that is in name only, she is certainly not getting any of the benefits of being his girl. Then in walks Danika, a blast from his past and decides to play it cool and pretend not to remember her.

A hate/love relationship that they each secretly want but too afraid to show the other. Somehow they manage to overcome the high school drama that seems to follow them both and they are soon no longer able to resist. But that doesn't mean that they are now on an easy path to love - the ending is open ready for the second book!

**Trigger warning - self-harm, drug use, sexual assault and grooming references are talked about throughout the book**

Thank you very much to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
I am a huge romance lover and I have read a lot of romance. Now, it takes a lot for me to be completely impressed with a book because I have read a lot of bad romance novels and some really good ones too. I really love the enemies to lovers trope so I knew I was definitely going to like something about the book, but I don’t just like the book, I was completely blown away.
This book got me feeling things in my belly. I loved Logan and Danika as characters. Bailey B did a really good job bringing them to life. They were believable and real. I loved how their relationship progressed and how each of them developed in the book. I can’t wait for part 2 of this book. I love cliffhangers but I hate them also. It’s a love-hate relationship really. I am definitely reading Bailey B other books.
