Thank you to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group for my honest review of ARC of "Hunted".
The story line was a good one to keep me turning pages to get to the truth. I really liked the pace of this novel. It held my interest and incredibly fast-paced as well as entertaining throughout the whole story.
I really enjoy this book, I loved the storyline behind it, it was something I haven't read before. The story kept me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the opening, it had me gripped right from the start. Anyway, a great novel which I'd recommend to anyone who likes a good mystery or thriller.

A great beginning to the book, kept you turning pages thought the story does slow down in the middle.

Jake is a police officer in San Francisco when his girlfriend`s daughter Molly turns up on the doorstep covered in blood as someone tried to kill her and her mam, then his phone has a red alert of Molly`s kidnapping and his girlfriends attempted murder with him being the suspect.

Someone is setting him up, so they disappear until they find out who is setting him up.
Even though it slows down in the middle it is definitely a page turner and will read more of this author.

Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The action starts on page one and doesn’t stop until the last page.
Be ready for a fast paced read which follows Jake as he goes on the run from the police, trying to prove his innocence in the most terrible crimes, murder, attempted murder and kidnap.

This will keep you on your toes as FBI agent Lark chases Jake across country and back again. The story is very well written and the characters develop well throughout the book.
I really enjoyed this police procedural and would read more from this author. I would happily see this turn into a series.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and most importantly the author, for the chance to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.

As soon as I read the synopsis, I knew that this was a book that I wanted to read. High-octane and action-packed, Hunted is the definition of an adrenaline-pumping thriller.

Incredibly fast-paced and entertaining, Alex Knight makes you feel like you're on the run with his characters with no time to stop and catch your breath. With a captivating opening, it's easy to read in one sitting and be thoroughly entertained by the chase.

It's one of those stories where you plead with the character to stay put and confess because you know that going on the run is going to end badly, so you're constantly on the edge of your seat hoping that Jake and Molly aren't going to get caught.

It loses a little momentum in the middle which is my only negative, but it's well constructed, the characters are easy to engage with, and the final chapters give a satisfying conclusion.

This is a great debut by Alex Knight and I will certainly be keeping an eye out for his future releases. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more from these characters, either, which I would definitely be interested in.

You're woken early by banging on the door. It's a young girl, the daughter of the love of your life. She's scared, cover in blood, dhe says her mother is hurt. You let her in, try to calm her down, tell her your going to get help. You reach for your phone, but oit lights up with a notification before you touch it. It's an amber alert, sent simultaneously to four million phones. A child has beeen abducted by a dangerous suspect. The child is the girl standing in front of you.

It's clear from the beginning that someone s framing Jake Ellis but we don't know why. So Jake goes on the run and takes Molly with him. The FBI and the police are searching for them. Jake has to work out who is trying to frame him whilst taking care of Molly and keeping her safe. The gripping plotline will keep you turning the pages. This action packed read has plenty of twists to keep you guessing.

I would like to thank #NetGalley, #OrionPublishingGroup and the author #AlexKnight for my ARC #Hunted in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great premise and had some good action, it just didn't grab me as much as I was hoping it would.

For me this was an okay read. Having said that I wanted, and expected more. The description hinted at more than the book delivered for me. The pace of the book had a lot to do with it, too slow in my opinion. Having said that I am an impatient reader, and hopefully other more patient readers may enjoy the book more than I did I hope so..

Hunted starts off with a bang. Officer Jake Ellis gets a knock at the door from his girlfriend’s 13 year old daughter Molly. She is shaken up and has escaped some one who shot at her in the car, and gunned down her mother. The police suspect Jake. We follow an intense cat and mouse chase as the police close in on Jake, and try to save Molly.

This is a fact paced thriller that will keep you turning the pages to get to the truth. The pacing was good, and the attention to the small details added to the story which made it gripping and atmospheric. It’s not a unique premise by any means, and I did guess the big reveal early on but Alex Knight has delivered a hard to put down good thriller.

With thanks to Orion Publishing Group and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first novel under Alex Knight, but this author is also known as Mason Cross. I liked the premise of this book and thought it’d be a fast paced rollercoaster ride. I liked parts of it, loved the characters especially Jake and Molly. and I enjoyed the writing but unfortunately the book wasn’t as fast paced or much happened as I would’ve liked.

Thanks goes to net galley and the publishers for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was really looking forward to reading this book but unfortunately it did not grab me as much as I had hoped. I found it an easy read, although a little slow to start with and I could not understand why Jake did not go to the police at the beginning as there could still have been an interesting story there if that had happened.

Thank you to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group for my ARC.

What would you do if you were being framed for a murder and the abduction of a child?

This is the concept of Hunted by Alex Knight and it is a good “chase” thriller which kept up a decent pace throughout.

Well, this hit the ground running, held me slave for the duration, and spit me out at the end wholly satisfied. Knackered, but satisfied!
We start with a rude awakening. Jake is woken to someone banging on his door. He opens it to find Molly, the daughter of his partner Rachel, standing there shaken and covered in blood. She says her mother is hurt. At the same time, his phone pings an amber alert, for Molly, with him as the prime suspect. And so begins a cat and mouse game as Jake and Molly evade the police whilst trying to figure out who would want to hurt Rachel and frame him. They flee the city to try and get help from the one person Jake can trust but will they manage to keep far enough ahead of the authorities to figure it all out in time? With FBI Special Agent Catherine Lark hot on their trail and the evidence against Jake mounting up, he'll have to draw from deep down to succeed.
Oh my days. This book was brilliant. It delivered everything I need from a book of this genre. Great characters, good storyline, no superfluous waffle, powerful pacing, and twists and turns aplenty. Jake has to dig deep to just keep his head above water as Lark is getting ever closer as the book goes on. I read some parts with my heart in my mouth as I willed Jake and Molly on. It helped that the author created Jake as one of those characters that you really just take to from the off and I rooted for him every step of the way. But it isn't all plain sailing story wise, there are a couple of really neat shocks to be had along the way too. Some I caught early, others, well, one in particular completely floored me! Takes a bit to pull the wool over my eyes these days so hats off to the author for that!
All in all, a cracking read that I devoured in just a day. Really looking forward to seeing what the author serves up for next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Alex Knight writes a high octane, utterly addictive crime thriller set in San Francisco, featuring 41 year old SFPD cop of 15 years, Jake Ellis, in a solid relationship with 39 year old accountant, Rachel Donaldson, a mother with a 13 year old daughter, Molly. Jake's life is thrown into complete disarray when Molly turns up one morning on his doorstep covered in blood, in shock after witnessing the shooting of her mother. His nightmare begins when he receives a amber alert on his phone about the shooting, and he is the prime suspect, apparently having abducted Molly at the crime scene. With everyone in the Bay Area having a picture of him, and the police on his doorstep, Jake's first priority is to protect Molly from a killer. He and Molly escape by the skin of his teeth, acquiring a getaway vehicle.

Jake cannot rely on his police colleagues, and the only person he can think of who might offer a place to hide lives in a remote part of California some distance away. With little cash, unable to use his phone or credit cards, with the state mobilising its citizens to track him down, Jake has to avoid the main routes as the media pile on the pressure to find and save Molly from a violent and dangerous man. On their trail and leading the hunt is FBI Special Agent Catherine Lark, aided by a team that includes the able Kelly Pakon. Chrissie Chung runs the Untraceable podcast that focuses on missing children, she decides to cover in real time the search for Molly. She finds herself at the forefront of the story, picking up a huge number of subscribers as she picks up exclusives which make her and the podcast part of the story in the rest of the media. Jake is in constant danger of being caught as he tries to work out why someone is targeting and framing him.

Knight creates characters that you come to care for, Jake who loves Rachel and will do whatever it takes to ensure Molly's safety, and young Molly, feeling vulnerable, worried sick about her mom, yet feisty and determined, despite the doubts that creep into her mind and the likes of the wonderful Eleanor Grace. This is a terrifically entertaining, engaging, fast paced thrill ride which has you rooting for Jake and Molly, as they face almost insurmountable challenges and betrayal. A great crime thriller that will appeal to many crime and mystery readers. Many thanks to Orion for an ARC.

I was on the edge of my seat from pretty much page one. This is a thriller in the truest sense of the word and anyone who enjoys fast paced mysteries with loads of tension will love this book. Alex Knight’s writing style is amazing and even more when you realise he’s not American but presents the context and dialect perfectly. A great book - highly recommended.

Most unusual, Alex Knight British novelist living in Scotland writes a crime novel based in America an interesting read with a good storyline. Murder, abduction is at the heart of this novel, quite surprised to find who the villain of the piece was. A good read.
