Perfect early reader story for the animal obsessed! I will be recommending this story to very strong readers in years one and two, but the humour and illustrations mean it's not too babyish for weak KS2 readers. Mad inventors, cats and superpowers.

Cats with superpowers, what more could you want! Super Cats v Dr Specs is the third in the series but you don't need any prior knowledge of the other books to enjoy this. This is a short chapter book so would appeal both to children starting to branch out on their own or to be enjoyed together as a bedtime story. I'd happily recommend this to younger children who enjoy animal stories but are looking for a little more adventure!
