I liked the idea behind this book but it is not one for me

The story was too complicated for a young reader - the story seemed a little incomplete and I thought that it ended too quickly and a little abruptly too.

The images suit the story but they are not the nicest for a children's book, I would have preferred them to be brighter and clearer to illustrate the story (it is my personal preference for books I read with my daughter).

It is 2 stars from me for this one, didn't work for me but will try the second book in the series to see if it is any better.

Seeing the cat, I was instantly drawn to Cat's Fur. Pictures are very detailed but they are a bit on dark and scary side. It is almost opposite of Rocio Bonilla. It provides another perspective to animals, but since some cat drawings are somewhat Stephen King' style, I am afraid that children might not get along with them after seeing this.

Hi there, I am afraid I cannot open the file. Is it possible that you send me a copy to my email? I am not sure how to communicate with you.

I just reviewed Cat's Fur by Bonnie Stanard. #CatsFur #NetGalley

Cat's Fur is aimed at much younger readers but my cat-loving self was immediately drawn to it. The writing was straight forward and flowed easily and the illustrations were unique and held a spooky feel to them. I would recommend this to ages 2-5 for Halloween or any other cat lovers beyond this age range.

This story is about a witch who starts to feel a little sick. I think it is a cute concept for a book and I enjoyed the author's use of higher level vocabulary words. The pictures were also fun to explore. I believe young children would like to read through this story. However, I do wish the book was a bit longer and I found the end to be sort of confusing. I needed to read the book again for clarification as to what happened.

I felt this book had a fantastic concept! I loved the feel of the book and the gross things like her runny nose and bulging eyes. The cats were so cute and fit very well within the artwork of the book. The writing was fast and very simple for very young kids. I did not understand why the end of the book cut off so sharp with no ending or cliffhanger or anything. I felt like I missed something at the end. I felt it was so short. I wanted more.

'Cat's Fur' & 'Lizard Brew' are two books that go together. Honestly the first just ended abruptly. The continuation was written differently- way too long and more lengthy that cats fur. It really bothered me that the books weren't uniform with each other. I really think that this story would have been better suited as one book.

Utterly unremarkable book about a witch whose cats get hexed to make her allergic to them. So-so script and artwork – I just don't consider this very memorable at all. What's more, this is the prequel to the proper story of how the curse is revoked – the two books are certainly two halves of a pair, but when this has about fifty words and the other five hundred, why can't two become one??!!

Cat’s Fur by Bonnie Stanard is a great tale for Halloween. The illustrations are amazing and fit very wel, with the story.

This is a bit darker than I like in children's books both in story and illustration. Also it seems incomplete. I know there is a follow up, but this one leaves you hanging.
