This is exactly the book I needed to read right now. So much insight on kindness; not only towards others (which I like to think I’m pretty good at), but kindness towards yourself (which I could stand to use some encouragement at). Being kind is something that every single human can do, it can cost absolutely nothing and yet give the most reward. I love this book, it’s great to pick up when needed a little inspiration on how to be kind, or if you need a reminder to be kinder to yourself and laugh a little.

Who couldn’t use a little more kindness in their life? In 100 Ways to Be Kind Theresa Cheung sets out to just what the title says, give people ways they can implement more kindness in their lives in the midst of a pandemic that’s sure to change the world forever. She divides the kindness up into sections and gives scientific backing to her reasoning as well as ways to implement each act of kindness. I was expecting a list, but her book is so much more. You could focus on self kindness or kindness online or seek out whatever type of kindness appeals to you.

This beautiful new book by Theresa Cheung is as timely as it is uplifting. Written and to be released during the Covid-19 pandemic, it is the first book I have seen that offers solid ways to get your mind re-focused on what is important in life. Although still in the midst of the pandemic, the reader will more clearly be able to remember ways to show compassion, empathy and kindness. Now that we are living in a "new normal", this book offers 100 ways to be kind to yourself, to others and to the world. There are many books on the market offering random acts of kindness--"100 Ways to Be Kind" repeats some that we all already know, but it also offers new and clever ways of sharing kindness and love to others when it is most desperately needed.

An insightful and easy to follow guide on actions you can take to be kind to yourself and others.

I’m enjoying following the suggestions as part of my 100 days of kindness challenge!

100 Ways to Be Kind is provides daily ideas as to how to be "kind" towards oneself, others, and nature. I think it would be useful to share with children in school as a daily message. Although I don't think there was anything particularly new in Chenug's book, it did provide an organized and thoughtful way of living a less stressful, and more fulfilling life. Thank you to Netgalley for this free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

While this book could benefit from editing to smooth out some awkward turns of phrase, and while the acts of kindness within are nothing new, I really appreciate a how-to guide stressing the importance of being kind in today's world. I also liked that Cheung does not limit her work to displaying kindness to other people, however essential it may be, but also includes a lengthy section of being kind to oneself. These methods are all simple and easily implemented, which can often get lost when consumeristic means of 'self-care' are most commonly touted. I've tried a couple of her methods already and I think they're doing me good!

An easy to implement guide to adding kind actions to your daily life. Nothing ground breaking here, but simple and doable for anyone. Would benefit from some good editing; some of the phrasing is a bit awkward. A good reminder of how easy it is to help others and feel better about yourself in the process.
