Thought I would give the second one in this series a try despite not loving the first, but once again this was a clean romance that veered too much on the side of absolutely no chemistry at all.

I wasnt keen on this book. I had high hopes since it was about a librarian and it sounded so cute. The description, sounded great. But, I couldn’t stand the librarian character! She was very self righteous and made a lot of assumptions. . I also didn’t like how the sheriff would make decisions in his head based on how she would view them. Just wasn't the correct book for me.

Thank you to the publisher for my eARC copy of this book. Unfortunately I didn’t love this book and therefore didn’t finish, I just didn’t connect with this one. Not for me, sorry.

I have read and loved Meg Cabot books before...so was very surprised that I struggled with this one from the get go.
I believe this is an adult book but it reads as if for a much younger audience....its very twee and idealistic and very sexist gender based roles.
Miss Molly was a suppressed over sensitive librarian and John was a rugged hard talking sheriff...these are roles we have seen thousands of times before and they have suddenly (& rightfully so) become very outdated in the past few years....and this book just seemed to miss all that and came across as so old fashioned...that I struggled to get through it.
It did read like a tame old fashioned Mills and boon book..
As I have said have always loved Meg Cabot and will definitely read more of her books but was disappointed that this is the book she released during the #metoo and equality movements that have been happening over the past few years.
Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love Meg Cabot's work and this was no exception. An excellent slice of escapism at a time that it's very much needed. I really enjoyed this.

Disappointing from Meg Cabot. I really didn't care for this cringey novel. Thank you for the opportunity to read it, but this book is not for me. Going to re-read the Princess Diaries instead!!

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the opportunity to read this book

This was a beautiful, light hearted read which I absolutely loved!.
The storyline itself flowed effortlessly and really pulled me in right from the start, and the characters were so detailed and likeable you couldn't help but feel a connection to them as their stories played out.
A heart warming, beautifully written book that was the exact form of escapism I needed right now. A definite must read.

This is such a beautiful book that is so easy to read. I absolutely loved the story to this, it really drew me in. The characters where really lovely. This was a book I could not put down. I loved everything about it.

It was lovely to be back in Little Bridge Island with a whole new standalone book.
I loved new children's librarian Molly, she clearly loves kids and books and is just perfect for her role. What she wasn't expecting though during a cookie decorating session (which had me laughing out loud for one boy's antics) that she would also discover a new born baby abandoned in the toilets
Due to this she meets the towns new Sheriff and well sparks fly - though what sort of sparks initially at least well its hard to tell.
There are many assorted facets to this story and I really enjoyed them all - not just the budding romance between Molly and the Sheriff but also seeing how the young man that had me laughing at the start, develops, and the abandoned baby storyline was well done too.
I really enjoyed the writing in addition to the setting and delighted to see that Little Bridge Island is in fact a series. I already look forward to more.
Thank you to Piatkus and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily,

I've read every Meg Cabot book since I was a teenager and practically had a shrine for her as I loved the humour and romance in her novels.
While I enjoyed her earlier adult books the most (The Boy Next Door, Every Boy's Got One, Boy Meets Girl), I am really enjoying the charming nature of this new series. The first book was a treat which I really liked reading during lockdown as it was feel good with a perfect amount of romance.
No Offense was another hit for the similarly enjoyable, feel-good factor. I genuinely wish I could visit the town and the quirky and lovable characters! It was fun, easy and I will recommend to others for a light, charming read.

Didn’t realise this was book 2 in series. On hold until I can get a copy of book 1 (if my local library ever opens for reservations again)

Lovely clean romance and detective story set in a small town full of quirky characters, new librarian Molly finds an abandoned baby in the ladies toilet, in walks John the sheriff and they get off to a bad start but as they both work to find the babies mother and solve the high school thief’s identity love blossoms. A great beach read.

Great book and one which I haven’t been able to put down. I love this author - this is quite possibly my new favourite by this author.

Absolutely wonderful read, perfect escapism, Meg writes wonderful books that you wish were real, or at least the communities, worlds you’d love to explore and I happily fall into for a few hours. The perfect pick me up read.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

I must admit that I have loved Meg Cabot since I first picked up a Princess Diaries book as a preteen many years ago. I loved the Boy series as well so I was so excited to see a new book from one of my childhood favourites. Thank goodness it also lived up to my expectations.
To be honest a novel featuring a true crime loving librarian who rocks a cardigan and has rather a frisson with the very sexy police sheriff was always going to be a winner in my book. Miss Molly is gorgeous and everything a children's librarian ought to be and I loved her well-meaning attempts not to interfere with the investigations.
My only issue with the book is that rather alarmingly the villain of the piece shares my surname. I promise I'm not a sunshine kid and don't like cinnamon flavoured alcohol.
Apart from that though I would definitely recommend.

Meg Cabot hits the spot with No Offense. A charming read which make you wish the town was a real place you could move to and the people who live there are your friends. Cannot find anything wrong with this book , a lovely read full of Meg Cabot's humour and sense of fun.

I picked this book up not realising this was the second book in a series, however that didn’t appear to make much of a difference as it comes across as very much a standalone novel. I also had no idea this was a best-selling author who also wrote The Princess Diaries books either. The story revolves around Sheriff John Hartwell and Molly Montgomery. John Hartwell grew up in Little Bridge and has now returned with his daughter, following the break up of his marriage. Similarly Molly Montgomery moved to Little Bridge following a relationship break up and also the offer of a job at the local library. Their paths cross when Molly finds a baby left in the library restroom.
The storyline is a little predictable and doesn’t offer the reader anything new, however this is a really fun and easy read, incorporating a romance and also a mystery to solve. The romance appeared a little flat and there could have been more a little more build up and tension. Initially there is far too much quarrelling going on and very little in the way of chemistry or sexual tension backing this up.
The other characters are all lively, likeable and well developed. What I liked most was the adorable relationship John had with his teenage daughter, he would do anything for her, including performing in a show in her dance troop. Being an avid reader I loved reading about Molly’s passion for books and could relate to the fact she had them piled up up everywhere in her home.
An enjoyable read, perhaps a little lightweight in terms of what I look for in a good romance novel, but if you’re looking for a quick escape on a summer’s afternoon, this book would be perfect for you.

I am a huge fan of Meg Cabot and couldn’t wait to read this second instalment of the little bridge series.
This is the story of a sheriff and a librarian, I must say this is not just a romance story but more of a cosy mystery style book and I can’t say I was disappointed
Roll on the next book in the series I’m already excited to read it!

No Offense is the second book in the Little Bridge Island series. However it can definitely be read as a standalone because it introduces us to two new characters Molly and John. This book is told by 2 pov's and very easy to follow.
Molly is the new children’s librarian on Little Bridge Island. She is charmed by her new peaceful surroundings that is until she finds an abandoned baby in the library bathroom. John grew up in Little Bridge and after some time away he has now returned as town sheriff along with his teenage daughter. Molly and John have an instant attraction to one another, but neither of them are looking to be in a relationship. What they don’t know is... there’s nothing like a small town Mystery to bring two people together.
This is a nice mix of mystery sprinkled with some cute romantic comedy. This is a very light easy read that will surely put you into the small town island vibe.
