What a great and inspiring little book! It would be at home in any classroom. These days growing up can be really tough, we are all bombarded with bad news all the time, and things can be so confusing with so many mixed messages. Kids are still kids though, with the same dreams, hopes and worries they’ve always had. This is a book that can help them to dream and to know that all things are possible.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my feedback.

I loved this! It’s perfect for children of all ages who are trying to figure out how they fit into the world. It encourages empathetic& practical thinking and develops compassion, including self-love.

No doubt about this being 5 stars! I’d love a physical copy for my classroom.

This is a beautifully made accessible look at self image and the power in embracing difference. Well laid out, clearly written and nicely done this is an easy addition to any child’s mental health toolkit.

Saw Sinead at an online bookseller event recently and she was brilliant - perfect for events, we have an eye on her for our book festival next year already!

A fantastic book for young kids to read, full of inspiring stories and great life lessons.

Sinead Burke's book 'Break the Mould' is a wonderful mix of personal anecdotes and encouraging facts to help with children's self-esteem. The perfect blend of inclusivity and individuality, presented in an accessible way for everyone to read or for parents to read to.
The format of the book with its great illustrations allow you to follow along with the narrative while never feeling like being talked down to in any way. Sinead's years of being a teacher really shines through in the way she writes and what she knows to be important to the younger generations.

I feel like this is one of those books that belong in every classroom and library, a great reference book to have on hand for any kid who's disability or difference makes them feel less then, when it should be celebrated.

Thank you to Hachette's Childrens Books and Netgalley for an early eArc of the book!

What a fabulous book. Sinéad has the gift of talking to children without condescending to them, which is a very tricky balance to keep. She's also managed to address a subject that some people would find embarrassing or weird and kept it all very straight forward and simple.

The layout is great, with quotes, bubbles, lists and pictures of people Sinéad has found inspiring. It's really well laid out. The tone is great, chatty and friendly, with really clear suggestions for ways children can change things and and figure out what they are passionate about.

This is a great read for children of any age and a timely reminder that we can all accomplish greatness if we try!

This is such an important book and I'm so grateful to have received a preview copy.
This book is all about being yourself and believing in what you can achieve, whilst accepting others
It is broken down into different chapters based on dreams and believing in yourself
I really liked that the book has activities throughout with examples to get children thinking.
It's good to see an inclusive book pushing children to believe in themselves, regardless if differences and needs they may have.
A great book for building confidence and also awareness of others.

I absolutely loved this book, and read it in one sitting. It is beautifully written and offers all young people a superb blueprint for living kindly in the world. Written to support and give a voice to children who feel different, Sinéad has created a vital and important text which in itself ‘breaks the mould’. She carefully tackles how to deal with inequality, feelings of disempowerment, bullying and unkindness, giving sound advice supported by anecdotes from her own experience and cameos showcasing lesser-known campaigners and agents of change from around the world, Sinéad has crafted a highly readable and extremely engaging text. Illustrated throughout with Natalie Byrne’s energy-filled cartoon drawings which will definitely appeal to the reader, there are also a number of practical activities included to help the reader develop their own self awareness and gradually become an agent of change. I believe this is an incredibly powerful book which deserves to be on the bookshelf in every every Upper Key Stage Two class room, and although it has been written to speak to individual readers, I believe it would make a superb whole class text, helping to create greater understanding of difference and encouraging all young people to be think about their impact in the world and ensure that they act kindly and with courage. I will certainly be making sure we have copies of this in school and will be encouraging all our young readers to dip in - I think they will quickly be hooked!

I loved everything about this book! There is a mix of activities, anecdotes, the author's own experiences and also other people who have made a difference in some way, who you may not have heard of.

The book is so empowering. It tells you that you can be anyone and do anything and feel however you wish and that everyone can make a difference.

I have put this on the shopping list already.
