The premise of this book was very interesting.
However the problem with having such an unlikeable main character and having the entire book purely from her point of view, is that it can make for difficult reading.
Annie was one of the most repugnant characters that I have met in fiction for a while. She was an abusive friend...forcing Lauren into their friendship and holding her hostage there because Lauren was a good person...and having an imaginary relationship with her boss and then trying to hold him at her mercy.
Annie always said the wrong thing....and always said the worst thing you can say. At first I wondered if she might have some personality defect but this was never explored...and the reasons given for why she was like she was didn't entirely make sense.
I always struggle with flashbacks in italics...but usually there is some mystery...however these ones were pretty straightforward and I felt they needed to be told in a more engaging way.
There was also some inconsistencies with characters that I struggled to overcome. For example..her Mum was obsessive and worried about her and didn't leave her alone
..but she wanted to go travelling without her? The 2 things don't gel...or make any sense.
Again with Annie just being an unlikeable character with a terrible personality...it leaves little room for sympathy and I felt sorry for every other person having to interact with her. Her behaviour was so shocking and so harmful...she seemed to have a ripple where she just harmed absolutely everyone around her. Poor Moira and Jan. I thought they were very restrained!
The mystery itself was fairly easy to unravel...and I was disappointed when I got to the end and it was as I expected. Was hoping there was some big revelation or twist.
When dealing with a character such as Annie I think we need to explore her personality more and ensure that the reader fully understands why she is like she is and has some empathy towards her....it needs to resonate more and that's what was missing here. Annie was presented to us but there was nothing about her life or personality or anything in her past or present that could be a connection and therefore I found reading her story very exhausting and only felt empathy for the people around her.
Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I found this to be an enjoyable read, keeping me on my toes throughout. The storyline was written well and flowed seamlessly. I look forward to reading more by this author!

I really enjoyed the book. A little slow to begin with, but when it all started to come together it was a great read and kept you hooked. The back story was intriguing. Would like to read more from the character.
All in all a great read

A bit of a slow star but developed well. Very clever story based around the disappearance of a girl,, in which the main character becomes involved. and who then becomes affected by what happened when she was much younger.. Compelling story.

All your little lies is a intriguing read, you ne er quite like Annie as she’s an unreliable lead character but it’s also the reason you keep reading as the story unfolds. It was a good read, possibly had more potential than reached but I wasn’t disappointed either. Give it a go, find out what’s happened to missing Chloe and if Annie has had anything to do with it.

*Late Review* Unfortunately I just couldn’t get into this story so I DNF at about 30% it was just very slow for me. Thank you for the ARC.

Started well but became a mass of repetition and ended badly. Real shame as it’s a great idea for a story.

Unfortunately I could not get into this book and did not finish it. Other readers may enjoy this more.

Annie was such a complex character, I couldn't get enough of her, even when she was infuriatng me. She's so content with her life, but she wishes she would be seen more. Now, she's smack in the middle of a disappearance and all eyes on her.
The writing was great. I loved the thriller feel, I kept turning the pages because I wanted more and more after each chapter. It was overall a really great book that I would recommend. Solid 4 stars!

Wow! A rollercoaster of a story full of angst and drama. Semi psychological thriller, part police procedure but all good! I loved the concept and the wonderful insight into a confused mind.. I read it in one sitting and now feel exhausted. Highly recommended

All your Little Lies is an enjoyable read. The story goes back and forward in time while Annie, the main character deals with the aftermath of a child’s disappearance. This triggers memories of another child in her past who went missing. Although the reader doesn’t have the detail of this past incident, it’s clear that Annie was involved in some way. It’s a reasonably strong storyline but I’m disappointed with some of the decisions Annie made along the way. I’d say some of these were far too silly to be plausible and this spoiled it a bit for me. Nevertheless its worth reading.
Thanks to Netgalley Agora Books for the complimentary copy.

This was a very interesting book... I think with the unreliable narrator it truly made getting into the story difficult because it took a little bit of time to reason about what was happening. The main character was the last person to see a girl before she went missing.... and with Annie being so socially deprived she is looking for connection in the strangest of places and findsherself in situations because she does not know how to handle many things (leads me to believe she has some type of mental disorder). With that being said, the writing was very well done. You could truly feel like you were in Annie's head in some points. I loved the red herrings and the amount of twists and turns, it really kept me going.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC for my honest review.

I really had high hopes for this one because it had everything I usually like in thrillers... so I was survived that I didn’t like this one. Definitely a book that I will forget next week

Annie lives a quiet life and likes to keep in the shadows. She is happy and content, but no one sees this side of Annie. Then one night, a young girl called Chloe disappears and Annie is the last person to see her. This is Annie’s opportunity to prove she is someone worth listening to. That is, until she becomes a suspect.
An interesting storyline and well paced. I enjoyed the flashbacks too Annie’s childhood which helped enhance the book.

I couldn't really connect with this book, unfortunately. The premise is that Annie was the last person to see a missing girl alive, and as something of a social recluse, uses the opportunity to get involved with the case to boost her profile, and ends up becoming a suspect.
The protagonist of a book doesn't necessarily need to be likable, but they do need to be interesting, and that was where this one fell down for me. I didn't really relate to Annie, and so didn't ultimately care about what happened to her. On the plus side, the writing otherwise was very good. I just couldn't get on with the main character

Thanks for a great read, not what i expected but didnt read up on it, great writing at its best, had me gripped and was edgy

I found the main character very hard to connect to. The writing was good . It was a bit of a slow burner for me . It made it hard for me to pick up and want to read.

A brilliant twisty tale. A great plot that kept me on the edge of my seat. I found this hard to put down. A great physiological thriller.

DNF This book was not for me. I have been trying to broaden my reading tastes and so picked this to try and do that.
I have had it on the got 4 weeks and have made it half way. I have been reading other things between a chapter here or there and have read 8 other books in this time.
I do not like the main character and cringe whenever she opens her mouth to speak to people. I do not like "the office" for the same cringe reasons its just not my thing.
Sorry it took me so long to get to this. I have tried really hard to push through I even tried skimming, I'm not a skimmer more of a word by word reader. I just wasn't interested in the mystery element enough to force myself. I will not be posting a review of this on goodreads or amazon

Enjoyed this one. I felt like there was something missing though, something I needed to love it. Well thought out plot and easy to read.
