This is a great book. It is well written and although not huge amounts of things happen in the character's life, it shows the beauty of the mundanity of life.

I've now read a few of Anne Tyler's novels. While this wasn't my favourite, I find her writing so warm and descriptive so this was a treat to read all the same.

I absolutely adore Anne Tyler’s writing, and this book was no exception. My only issue with it was that it seemed to end too soon and abruptly! (Although perhaps that’s on me; I lost track of progress reading on a kindle and didn’t realise how close I was to the end...)
