It feels so weird reading Christmas books in September but I really enjoyed this. Gayle Mitchell is a successful, independent business women who frequently tops the bestseller lists with her self help books. When Gayle has an accident she reconnects with her daughters Samantha and Ella and decides to spend Christmas with them. They end up spending Christmas in Scotland at a country estate. The descriptions of Scotland were spot on.
This is a story based on family relationships and forgiveness. This was a lovely Christmas book and it put me in the festive spirit (a bit earlier than usual!!)

A great story with a mixture of love and family dynamics to overcome in a fairy tale setting! Beautiful!

I read this story of a dysfunctional family coming together and learning new things, listening to each other, apologizing for past mistakes and realized just how many other readers will think the same. I connected with Gayle, the mom. I felt a little like her in how I was with my children but then I thought no, you're more like Samantha - looking after your sibling, being hard on yourself, always pushing. I want to go and stay in Kinleven but my finances wouldn't cover the journey to Scotland from Lincolnshire at the minute!

I really enjoyed Sarah's festive novel. Having said that, I was a little put off by a recurring error, which I assume will be sorted for publication day - just about any word featuring fl together became f l. eg floor became f loor. I've marked them but don't know how to share them..... If it wasn't for that it'd be 4*

Sarah Morgan has done it again...this book is perfection. It was just what I needed in these troubling times. She really is the queen of Christmas stories but this one might be her best. The characters are brilliantly portrayed, and I cared about our three main characters. The relationship between Gayle, Samantha and Elle was so complex and the fact we got to hear from each character really helps the reader understand how they are each feeling. I loved tab and her infectious joy, and Brodie....well wow! He is so dreamy, and I loved how he seemed to know what Samantha needed. The fact we heard from Brodie’s sister, kirstie and how she felt about the changes in her life, makes me hope we will get to see her get a HEA in a future book.

This is a book about family, love, forgiveness and full of xmas cheer. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed

Loved reading this Christmas-themed book (it's just turned September as I write this review) and it reminded me of a modern day version of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", with an award-winning author and business consultant, Gayle in the role of Scrooge.

We join Gayle as she is about to have a live interview on the morning show, but Gayle ends up in hospital where she asks for her daughter, Samantha. Nothing unusual in that, right, if you ignore the fact that they have not spoken to each in years.

One thing leads to another and before we know it, Gayle is in Scotland with her estranged family, a few weeks before Christmas.

Against the snowy backdrop of stay at a Scottish Highlands lodge with acres of Christmas trees and real reindeers, we learn about Gayle's past, present and potential future family relationships with her daughters, Samantha and Ella, how this has affected them - things can change for the better.

I enjoyed the fun and sometimes LOL moments... "laid by a laird" and that it's never too late to learn new things. For me, this was another book by Sarah Morgan that I could curl up with up and have a virtual hug, perfect for a miserable winter-like day.

Thank you to Netgalley and HQ Stories for sharing this eARC.

The queen of festive Christmassy reads has done it again! A wonderful read full of atmosphere, based in the Scottish highlands, snow, reindeer’s, festive baking, local whiskey, Christmas trees, family dynamics and love are central to this family based drama! Gayle a fiercely independent business woman and estranged mother to Samantha and Ella has an accident that causes her to want to reconnect with her daughters, she has no idea re their lives now or that one of them is married and she has a granddaughter that she didn’t know existed! A family holiday to Scotland over the festive period leads to forgiveness, truths, and rekindling of relationships both old and new!
A truely great read that will put you in the festive spirit and you won’t want it to end!
Thank you net galley for this early read.

I love Sarah Morgan stories and this one is just brilliant, a wonderful wintery read. Samantha and Ella's relationship is warm and giving, and I really enjoyed seeing how they'd built up their mini family out of such hard times. I loved seeing Gayle break out of the protective shell she'd built up around herself as she started to let the family memories of her own childhood come through. The friendship building between her and Mary was a great one if a little unexpected.
The sound of the starlight walks are so romantic, and I definitely need a follow up to see how the Scottish link with Samantha's business develops both professionally and personally.

As much a story about dysfunctional families and relationships as it is a romance. Well rounded characters and well written. Ideal Christmas reading.

This is my read from Sarah but definitely not my last, I adored this Chrismas tale.

Gayle has been estranged from her daughters for 5 years, after Gayle has an accident at work she finally reaches out to them.
She has no idea one of them is now married and she is a grandmother.
Can Gayle make amemds with her daughters and come to terms with her past?

This novel takes us to wonderful Scotalnd full of snow, mountains and reindeers, full of the Joy's of Christmas a read you do not want to miss out on.

Sarah Morgan has done it again! She's definitely a queen of Christmas books. I really loved this one. There is so many good things I want to mention about this story, yet I'm short of words.
It made me laugh, it made me cry and definitely put in in Christmas mood.
It's full of snowy mountain and freezing pipes but at the same time very warming. Beautiful descriptions of Scottish Highland made me want to call Samantha and book my Christmas getaway.
Sarah stories are always full of love, friendship, complicated families and character and this one wasn't any different.
I have to mention this – I have a crush on Brodie (please, don't tell my husband!). He is a brilliant character and makes the book so much more attractive.
If you're still not convinced by this review let me mention one more thing. Or actually the whole herd of reindeers. Nobody can resist the charm of those magical animals.
So if you're a lover of Christmas book you'll definitely enjoy “One more for Christmas”.
