So gosh darn cute. Baby chick has a LOT to say. But no one has time to listen. While playing by itself Baby Chick finds an egg and helps it hatch. And she was lucky enough to make a new friend who likes to listen to her chatters. This was lots of fun and would be great to do at story time.

What a cute book about a little chick that peeps too much! Being a talker myself since a young age, I could definitely relate to how she felt and I'm sure all of our talkative little ones will too. I also found the story to be engaging for young readers. How many funny ways can you say "peep"?

Baby Chick has so very much to say. Her peeps cover pages of this storybook. But…everyone is too busy to listen. So, Baby Chick goes off on her own. Eventually she finds an egg. What’s inside? Baby Chick will soon find out and what she finds will delight her.

This is a simple story for the youngest children. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

This was the cutest book I think I've ever read. The ending made me gasp, I loved it. It was so wholesome and warmed my heart. It's the exact kind of book I would've loved when I was a little kid, so I just fell in love. The art was stunning and the story was so sweet. I loved this so much.

Chick Chat was a sweet, simple story about a chick with a whole lot to say, and a family without the time or energy to listen.

This is a cute story for younger children and children who might need a little help understanding why their people might not always want to talk.

I loved the illustrations, especially the little easter eggs for adults (Sister's copy of A Coop of One's Own).

This is a sweet and simple story, the illustrations are cute and match the tone of the story. Baby Chick is a chatty little chick who just wants to talk, but her family is too busy. She’s excited when she finds an egg to talk to, and is she loves her new and quiet friend. I like that the friend, who is a good listener, is appreciated too!

Thank you to NetGalley and Janie Bynum (author and illustrator) for a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Chick Chat is the story of a little chick who has a LOT to say, and a family who is too busy to listen ALL the time. But one day, the little chick finds an egg, which becomes her stand-in best friend. But then the egg disappears... what will the little chick do?

I loved Chick Chat! It would be perfect for a read-aloud storytime. The illustrations, which were done by the author, are simple and colorful, and will catch the eye of the littlest readers. The story line is simple and relatable, with a subtle moral that your friends don't have to be JUST like you, as long as they complement your personality.

I received an ARC of Chick Chat from NetGalley and NorthSouth Books in return for my honest review, but I would happily buy this book for the kids in my life.

A cute story of a chick that is constantly PEEPING and no one wants to listen to her. She finds an egg and it hatches into a turtle who doesn't speak much, and that is okay. Cute illustrations! Great for Pre-K.

Chick Chat is about a cute chick that likes to talk. No one around wants to listen to Baby Chick. So Baby Chick finds an egg and chats it up.

There's not much to say. It is a cute book for small children. Maybe good if you want to teach a child to read the word "peep" and "chick".

I liked the storyline of this book. The chick needed someone to talk to so he found an egg to take care of and talk to. It was hard to read on a Kindle though because the pictures didn’t match to the story. The illustrations were well done. My young daughter didn’t understand about the egg but she liked the pictures.

A cute story about a chatty chick who makes an unlikely friend. Perfect for young readers and discussions about friendship or making friends. This book could also be used with early readers to help develop reading skills and phonemic awareness.

Very cute art and a story any talkative kids can relate to. But it also speaks to finding friends that match and complement you, that people who are different can be great choices for friends.

This adorable little picture book is about Chick who has a LOT to say. Her family is a little tired of listening to her, so Chick goes out on her own and finds an egg that is willing to listen. The art work in this one is so cute! I think the kids are going to love this one.

Peep, peep, peep! Baby Chick has a lot to say!

Baby Chick just wants to chat.
Little Chick tries to talk to his family members but everyone of them were busy with other things. That didn't stop him from peeping. While exploring, Baby Chick finds a mysterious egg and takes care of it. He protects it and stays with it and tells it all he wants to say. When the egg hatches, Chick gains a new friend who doesn't speak a lot but is happy to offer a listening ear to his new friend while he keeps speaking.

Charming and fun illustrations combined with text for younger readers. The colorful drawing style is gonna make every child love it. The not so young readers will appreciate the humor in the story especially if they are the talkers in family.

A great choice to learn about balance and making friends.
A story about patience, friendship and kindness.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
