The book has a good message, but some of the letters didn’t fit. G was for grow? I think if some of the letters were changed, it would be perfect.

I read this book to my three-year-old son. He just started preschool today and this is good luck to start the year off. I loved the different descriptions of cultures. I have to admit, there were of clothing items that I wasn’t in familiar with. I do think that the descriptions may be a little language heavy for newer readers.
The pictures are colorful, vibrant and kept my son's attention through the entire book.

What an absolutely darling little story. D is for Diversity gives an A to Z overview of different races, religions, and traditions, along with many diversity related vocabulary words. I love that each page gave a short description of the word each letter represented. Each one was a great starting point for a deeper conversation between a kid and their reading companion. The illustrations are SO cute. I liked that each page featured one dynamic illustration, which makes it easy for toddler age kids to focus on.

As others have mentioned, would've loved to see some more straightforward LGBTQ+ representation in this book.

Diverse representation in children's stories is so important for kids of all backgrounds, and this book definitely hit the right notes. I found this book to be an absolute delight and I would not hesitate to share with any child in my life!

This book outlines in alphabetical order a range of religions, races and aspects of different cultures.
The use of colour really makes this book pop and would perfectly engage children.
It would be incredible to be used as a teaching tool to invest children in the diverse nature of the world and allow children to feel seen in regard to aspects of their own race/ religion/ culture.
I adore this book and a pre- service teacher I can see this book as being a perfect addition to my classroom.

Obviously this was not targeted for adults, but even as an adult I found that this book had a lot of imact on me. These are the basic things we learn as children (some don't-I know) and as we grow up we forget that the best thing we can do is just love and respect each other. I think this will be a great read for children no matter their race or religion.

The multi-cultural cover of this book showcases what is to be found inside.  Each letter of the inclusive alphabet has a drawing, a word and a definition.  For example B is for Bindi, C is for Christian, H is for Hispanic, I is for immigrant...until Z is for Zulu.  This book for the youngest children gives them a chance to see the diversity in our world.

I thought that this was a lovely book and I loved the images used.

The book was easy to follow with it having a different focus for each letter of the alphabet.

The book is set perfectly for the target audience but I would have liked the book to have included more regarding LGBTQ too with it being a book on diversity, this focused more on ethnicity – it is 4 stars from me for this one!

D is for Diversity is a Children's book that strives to show children the beauty in being different and educate at the same time.

What I didn't like:
It missed out on some very important differences such as different family dynamics. Also it didn't touch on the LGTBQ+ community/gender, which is topic that needs a lot more attention now more than ever. Also, the facts sometimes didn't feel meaningful for a child, just a statistic instead of meaningful facts of the culture.

What I did like:
I loved that it touched on the strength of those who have immigrated, different races and religions. I also enjoyed the illustrations and the overall theme of the book.

An alphabet book that teaches children about diversity through teaching about different races, people groups, cultures, and religions. The language is a bit advanced for the normal board book crowd, but I think for a bit older kids this is a good introduction into diversity.

THIS WAS SO CUTE, it was an A to Z book about different aspects of different cultures, things and the world, the drawing style was cute and I loved the added simple explanations to all the words. Definitely a great kids book that I'd happily purchase.

I expected a story book, but this is a great book for teaching both the alphabet and diversity to toddler-aged children.
The book covered so many aspects, some of which I didn't even think of as needing to be covered- race, culture, religion, art, and more were covered.
Nice illustrations and colors.

The cover and blurb drew me in, so I was surprised to find letters of the alphabet with examples and not a story. This is good for toddlers, it has bright big pictures and with easy words to understand. Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for an ebook copy. This is my honest review.
