An interesting read based on the authors professional military career, including working in the British Army in the light infantry and then the Paras. Working as a private military contractor in various hot spots around the world including Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya has given the author the opportunity to provide an in-depth view of life in a war zone, unfortunately no details were included in the book.
The book is written in an easy going style and gives a real feel of authenticity. Unfortunately the book is also written in a very generalised way giving no real details and because of this feels like it is lacking any real depth. From reading the book it appears the author has never been in a firefight as there are no reports of any action, nor are there any stories either light or dark which is a huge loss to the book.
