If you want to read a book that gives you all the Christmas feels, then this one is definitely it. When jess moves to Christmas street after leaving her life in London, she just wants to hide away. Christmas street has other plans though and on moving day (1st December) she finds a huge snow fight taking place! It turns out that Christmas street with its 24 houses is hosting a live advent calendar with each member of the community hosting a night. Although nobody holds up much hope that mean old Mr Winters in house 24 will do anything ....

This was like a big cosy mug of hot chocolate in a book. If your looking for that warm fuzzy Christmas feeling I would definitely pick this one up!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

This book is full of friendships, of settling into a new life, about families and making up.

It’s a heartwarming read and one that will make you think.

After a disagreement in the job that Jess was doing, she leaves her home and the ob in London, making time to think and starting again in a different area.

Her new home is on Christmas street and she quickly learns that life is going to be very different, and that she’ll make new friends just as quickly as she’s coming into December, she finds out that each house in this month has is a real life advent calendar and that house, it’s open each day until Christmas and she has to join in.

She gets a card through the door, opens it thinking it’s for her but, it’s for someone else who lives on her street. Mr Winters at number 24. Who she hears isn’t joining in with the festive spirit.

Can Jess, make him realise that he’s got a family and also get him to enjoy Christmas again. Will the Christmas magic work on everyone in the road or not????

Recommend it.

It's enough to make you believe in Christmas magic.

From the first chapter complete with a snowball fight kicking off a living advent calendar and Jess moving day to Christmas street i was enchanted.

With each chapter being a new day, we get to know the residents of this lovely community and a different themed Christmas activity each day.

And for a few key residents we get to know them very well, and just how the Christmas season affects them. But it was the story of Mr Winters, the street's scrooge that really touched me, especially the reason why he he no longer speaks to his son, and has never met his grandson. Seeing how Jess tried to connect to him, when none of the other neighbours could see beneath his gruff exterior, was really heart warming.

Jess is trying to regroup after a year out of teaching, after the "cheese sandwich incident" which is hinted at many times, before we discover the full details and see just how poorly she has been treated in her old job.

There is just so much to love with this book, and in some respects you could probably read it in the month of December a chapter a day, to discover the happenings on Christmas Street and the real life advent calendar in real time, but I much prefer turning page after page, and just loving every second of this story.

I could easily imagine this a Hallmark Movie, and would love to see it on a screen, it has everything you could want in a Christmas book, and its very well written and just a joy to read.

Easily one of the most festive and enjoyable Christmas books that I have read this year, and I still can't believe that I've never read this author before, which is something I clearly need to fix in the future.

Thank you to Netgalley and Orion for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

A brilliant Christmas story about the true meaning of Christmas.

Jessica Green has had the year from hell, everything she thought she wanted in life is all gone and she is having to start all over again.

Jess moves in to Christmas street where the residents are intent on spreading the Festive joy and showing Jess what Christmas is all about, however she doesn’t think that this is the place for her and she doesn’t want to start over again. Until she meets Mr Winter who, to everyone else in the street, seems to be the biggest Scrooge that ever lived. But what does Jess see in him that no one else does? Can she change everyone’s perception of the old man at number 24 and make sure that everyone on Christmas Street has a very merry Christmas!

I absolutely LOVED this book. It’s full of relatable characters who each have a story to tell and aren’t always what they seem to be on the outside.

I couldn’t put this book down but at the same time I didn’t want it to end.

Now all I have to do is find my own Christmas street to live on!

I absolutely adored this book. It gave me everything I wanted from a festive romance, with a heavy dose of community spirit and self-development too that made me look forward to returning to Christmas Street.

When Jess arrives at Christmas street for a new start, she's shocked to find that she's walked right in to a live advent calendar, visiting each house for a different Christmas activity throughout December. There's something about the escapism of a character starting afresh that I love, and seeing the community of Christmas street throughout the festive season melt Jess's heart and convince her to stay was wonderful.

I also loved that it wasn't all focused on romance (although I loved the ending!) and there was a lot of friendship and family thrown in there too. I found Jess to be a really likeable character and I was rooting for her all the way through.

Full of Christmas magic and community spirit, this is absolutely a book to put on your Christmas reading list this year.

Christmas street is just as special as it’s name suggests. After a tough year Jess has made the decision to move away from London to start afresh and finds a perfect house in a place called Christmas Street. She never expected to experience a living advent calendar and neighbours who all except one participate in. Jess thought that she would be able to hide away but there is no where to hide here and over the 25 days in December she realises what she’s always wanted. I really really enjoyed this story and wishing I lived there

This book reminded me a lot of Debbie Macomber's style of writing, so if you are a fan of cosy Christmas and community coming together, this book is a great read.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Jess is not looking forward to Christmas this year after being fired from her job and having to move. Jess's new neighbors were all excited for Christmas and had various events planned to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

I read an advanced copy of, Miracle on Christmas Street, by Annie O'Neil. This is such a heartwarming Christmas story. I love feel good stories, where people come together to help others. This is the best time of year. Jess moves to Christmas Street, she realizes this street is very different, from her old street.

A witty, wise and heartwarming Christmas tale. Just close the door, light the fire, put on the PJs and revel in Annie O'Neil's depiction of how a whole calendar of Christmassy magic can ignite community spirit, heal sorrows and defrost the iciest heart. Heaven!
