There are so many good cozy Christmas reads out there but unfortunately, this book is not one of them. Typically, this kind of book would take me little time at all to read but with this book, it took me days (probably close to a week).

The story was dry and the characters were somewhat bland. There wasn't much that I felt was identifiable between any of them and each of them didn't seem to have a personality.

As I was reading, I felt myself just hoping for the book to be finished because I knew there are so many better stories out there. If I was someone to 'DNF' a novel, I definitely would have put down this book early on.

Winter Wishes at Swallowtail bay by Katie Ginger

Nell owns Holly Lodge and is struggling to come up with ideas to fight her competition a new hotel chain that has opened in the village.

Another very well written book by Katie Ginger. With a small handful of central characters making the story so adorable as Nell keeps trying to keep the inn afloat and of course trying to find romance when really it is potentially right under her nose.

There are many secrets and underlying threads of stories running through the book and a real book to cosy up in front of the fire on a cold winter day. 4.5/5

I love Katie Ginger books and it is great to be back in Swallowtail Bay . Nell and Tom are great main characters and instantly likeable and you really feel for Tom wanting Nell to see him in a different light, but they still make a great team trying to save Nell's little hotel. Warm hearted and a good storyline making this a lovely read to curl up in front of a fire with

Christmas cozy romance. A genre that always works around the Christmas time. Set in the small town of Swallowtail Bay, with romance and drama along the way.

The story is set in Swallowtail Bay, a small town set on the coast of Britain. Nell owns a Inn, which has been in the family for a long time. She looks for ways to keep the Inn afloat while competition arrives. Meanwhile a wedding is about to happen at the Inn and of course love is trying to find it’s way in.

There is a small group of characters that are central in the book. Every one has a secret they are keeping from the others. Nel is the owner of the Inn and trying to manage her life, but also looking for romance in her life. Tom might the one for her, but does she notice him?

Katie Ginger managed again to create a book you are glued to. A perfect fireplace read during the winter season. Her writing is so pleasant, and she manages to create a light and fun storyline for every book.

Although this book is the third book in the Swallowtail Bay series, it can totally be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the other books and didn’t experience any problem with missing information or anything similar.

Thank you Harper Collins for this ARC. What a lovely story, second book of Katie's I have read and was nit disappointed. What I love about Katie's writing is whilst it is romance etc it is still set in UK and the reality of that is within the books. I love that we know practically we do not get snow at Christmas and she doesn't shy away from this. I also love how she tackles a major health condition in the book and is practical with it. Fantastic research and true to life info. New fan here ❤❤

Found this hard to get into, as it read more like an ongoing soap opera and the focus was scattered everywhere and not just/only on the main couple that are supposed to be the focus of this story. Could be enjoyable for someone who loves those ongoing rambly-type small town series, but I was expecting more of a standalone novel in the same setting, and didn't find that

What I love is that each of them does make a difference to the story as it developed. Like to read how the characters In the story are interrelated to each other. It make the story more exciting to read. The setting of the story is nice and is fit nicely to the story.Story plot are well penned out, with a slight twist to it in the end

Such a lovely story.
I like a tale of how the underdog takes on the mighty chains.
This was a sweet tale of love - both in love for her hotel and how love is found in the midst of challenges.
I'd want to stay in Nell's wonderful hotel.

oh wow! What a lovely and eventful book! It's a page-turner! Romance, friendship, drama, fraught, suspense, mysteries, you'll get everything in this book! But the romance is the best part for me! This book is the book 3 for the Swallowtail Bay series but it can be read as a stand alone! You can go ahead and read it, you won't be disappointed!

Katie Ginger's books are always so perfectly written and never fail to capture my interest from the first page, and this book was no exception.
When Nell finds her small hotel struggling, she has big decisions to make, and finds herself throwing herself in to her last chance of saving her beautiful business by holding a wedding at the large rival hotel that is the one that is in fact causing her all of these problems.
This is such a beautiful story that really has you hooked from the start. The characters are brought to life by the authors wonderful writing style and you truly feel a connection to them and the obstacles they have to overcome.
