A sweet quick read. This provided a nice little shot of romance when I had less time for reading a full-length novel

This felt pretty one note. The characters seemed pretty standard and it was a quick read. It didn't knock my socks off but it did have a steady pace.

Girl, at least it was short.

Neither of the characters have any personality, and the "depth" that they have is extremely surface level and unbelievable.

Of course, the female main character has a gay best friend because why not.

Short, steamy story with a bit of Instalove. Not much else going on, but a quick, enjoyable read.

I loved how easy to read this story was! Tabitha was a shy, librarian who had a lot going for her and I loved how Brodie was able to bring out a different side of her! The two male characters were interesting and you fall in love each other as they do for each other, themselves!

This is a great novella instalove romance book. Brodie is a pro boxer that does construction work on the side and Tabitha is a smart librarian that is on the plus size. Tabitha has had a bad experience with romance in the past because of her size and so when Brodie showed interest in her she had to learn to believe in herself. I really liked the storyline and would have liked more interaction with Brodie and Tabitha about her past experience but it still was fun reading how they get together.
Also I really loved Tabitha's best friend Collin and it would have been great to see more interaction with that character. Otherwise I would love a romance story with Collin as the main character and his love story.

Brodie and Tabitha are very sweet together. Having been burned in the past, Tabitha has a lot of insecurities. Brodie does what he can to build up her self-esteem. Even though he’s a big, brawling fighter that gets down & dirty in the ring, he’s a mushy, gentle teddy bear with Tabitha. He doesn’t let her retreat in her shell with her fears and instead shows her how to be confident and know she can always lean on him. This was a good, short story and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read a copy.

Knock Out by Willow James is a fast read. The story is an instant connection between a shy librarian and an aspiring boxer. It was hot and sexy and very fast it was over. I would have loved to read more about their story and more details.

But as for a novella, it was a good read, with interesting characters.

I loved everything about this one. It's the perfect comfort read. You know what's going to happen and that's ok, because it has all of the very best romance tropes. And because it's such a quick read, 55 pages, there is minimal angst.

Tabitha is the best, she speaks to my book nerd self, I wish I worked in a library too. I wish I had her wicked fashion style. I wish I was brave enough to get on the back of my husbands Harley more. And Brodie is the ultimate male lead. Bonus points for being a boxer.

This book mainlines you all the good stuff, no waste, lots of sexy fun. Entertaining and endearing.

A short and cute romance. I like the the characters overall, though the description of a librarian's day is not at all accurate. I would've expected a little more accuracy or research there. But I liked the description of a mature boxing. It was a cute story, but a tad on the short side. Not sure I would I recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy of Knock Out in exchange for an honest review. This was short and sweet, The story line was appealing and Brodie and Tabitha made it work. This was a neutral read, and one I wouldn't recommend or discourage from reading.

This was a really quick read. I struggled to make myself finish it. I hate saying that, but I really did. The heroine was supposed to be this shy “curvy” woman who it seemed did a 180 with the hero. It seemed like it went from her being so shy to way too fast sex scenes. It was really over the top at that point.

I loved this book! Super short read but had every element I enjoy in a good contemporary romance. There was an alpha male type character and a shy librarian. Talk about opposites attract! But they dooo! Both main characters were so loveable. I enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the love scenes. ;) I honestly could've done with another 200 pages. Lol! This author will definitely be added to my list of writers to follow. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book!

For a novella, I greatly enjoyed it! The conversations and thought processes among the characters were smooth and easy to follow. I never had to reread sections to determine what was going on. The descriptions of the settings, characters, and surroundings were just the right among to ensure that the readers got an image in their mind rather than not being enough to form a well rounded picture.

The only thing I might have added was having a scene where Tabby told Brodie about her horrible experience in the past with relationships. We could have been witness to an extremely sweet Brodie that would have reenforced his dedication and devotion to Tabitha.

I Was Provided A Copy Of This Book From @netgalley. I Requested It As I Have Seen So Many Other Bookstagram Accounts Posting Reviews On ‘Romance’ Books, I Thought I Would Give Them A Go As A Change To My Usual!

This Is A Hot And Steamy Short Story, I Literally Read It In On Go Because I Was Desperate To Know If The Girl Got The Boy! Brodie Is Every Woman’s Fantasy Bad Boy, All Tattoos Stubble And A Nice Body! It’s A Feel Good Book, As Long As You Don’t Shy Away From A Bit Of Sex Then You Will Enjoy It 😉

I Definitely Will Read More Books From This Author / Genre - They Are Quick Easy To Read And Make A Change!

3 1/2 stars

This novella was a quick read that packed a "punch" - - no pun intended.

I think it's typically hard to connect the reader to characters in a short novella. However, the author did a fair job of it with this story. Brodie and Tabitha were both very likable characters and made a wonderful couple. Brodie was the perfect alpha male to calm Tabitha's insecurities.

Knock Out offered a quick escape from real life. The reader is able to journey into the world of a sexy, curvy (albeit insecure) librarian and the hunky man working on construction in her building. It's a cute and fun story. It was a nice palate cleanser in between other more intense books.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. The opinions contained within this review are entirely my own.

I really enjoyed this book, but it was over too soon. I hadn’t realised it was so short and wanted it to continue. I would have loved to hear more about them and more of their story. It would have been five stars if there was just a bit more to it.
