Crazy Stupid Bromance

The Bromance Book Club returns with an unforgettable friends-to-lovers rom-com!
by Lyssa Kay Adams

A great light hearted well written book as part of a series but all stand alone reads as well. Light hearted very enjoyable read it will make you laugh though this wasn’t my most favourite of the series.

They do draw you in with the characters and the style of the book just a little different from you normal romance though not so much this one but still a light hearted romantic read.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is the story of Noah and Alexis who have been friends for a bit but Noah has secretly been in love with Alexis.

I didn't devour this book but it kept me hooked enough to want to know what happens next. It's a friends to lovers story and makes for an easy read on that front but I wasn't quite convinced with the sub plot about Alexis' father. I found it a tad far fetched.

Another incredible read from Lyssa Kay Adams, I thoroughly enjoyed the read, just as much as the first and look forward to getting in to book three.

Yes! Another incredible read in the Bromance Book Club series.
There is something about these reads that brings me utter joy. I adore the wide cast of characters and couples , the found family feel the group has and Adams brilliant capability of capturing the variety of different relationships with in the cast of characters. The characters are so well developed , with each of their personalities so well written that they feel like complete fully rounded real people.
Each of the books in the series, this one included, have a wonderful mix of belly laughs, friendly banter, serious topics and heartfelt romance.
I can't wait for the next read in the series - it's following the Russian!!

Has the Bromance Book Club met its greatest challenge?

Alexis Carlisle and her cat café, ToeBeans, shot to fame after she came forward as a victim of a celebrity chef's sexual harassment. When a new customer approaches to confide in her, the last thing Alexis expects is for the woman to claim they're sisters and to make a life-altering request. Unsure what to do, Alexis turns to the only man she trusts - her best friend, Noah Logan.

Computer genius Noah left his rebellious teenage hacker past behind to become a security expert, using his old skills only for the right cause. But Noah has a secret: he's madly in love with Alexis and has never found the right moment to confess his crush.

Now that Alexis needs him more than ever, luckily The Bromance Book Club are on hand with their trusty 'manuals' to guide this romance-novel-sceptic out of the friend zone and into taking a shot at the best relationship he's ever had...
💜💜💜
So this is book 3 in the Bromance series and I loved this one just as much as the first two! In this one we get to learn more about Alexis and Noah who both featured in the other books as side characters. This story is a lovely friends to lovers romance, and they are helped along by the quirky members of the Bromance book club whilst they all help Mack plan his wedding to Liv!

I love the Bromance book club world!
I’m looking forward to the release of book 4 later in the year and hearing more about the mysterious Russian!

*4.5 stars*
I’m kinda shocked and in awe at how this book blew me away and exceeded my expectations.

✨ So incredibly sweet & with some gut-wrenching, emotional moments
✨ Friends to lovers. Nerdy-tech-hacktivist guy with a chef/cafe-owner/survivor-of-sexual-assault heroine
✨ Amazing friend group, mainly the guys from the Bromance Book club and the mischief they get into
✨ And probably the best thing I’ve read ever ever ever = the grumpy-chonker-creature, Beefcake the cat
*(I listened to the Beefcake scenes with my 12 y/o sister and let me tell you, we've never done that before, ever. No one of my family reads.)

The themes and topics in this were pretty heavy and emotional (triggers for: sexual assault (not on page), loss of parents, cancer). I wanted a bit more moments with Noah and Alexis alone, because romance, and I still can't bring myself to sympathize or completely forgive Candi and her family.

————————————
I didn’t read books 1 and 2 (yet), but I didn’t expect the summary for book 4 😍

The Russian was one of those side-comic-relief characters that (in the past) would never get their own full story. I am ecstatic to learn that he’ll be the MC next and his book is surely to be a juicy-drama-and-action-filled one.

Having read 1 and 2 last year I wasn't sure if a 3rd could meet my expectations, I'm so used to sequels disappointing me but boy was I wrong. I would class this as effortless reading...in a good way.

This book had everything, and more, that I loved in the prequels. The storyline is strong and progresses on from the 2nd book, showing the true power in finding love for yourself as well as others after life throws some huge curveballs...and that's putting it lightly. Adams has the ability to be real, sucking you in as though the characters are your friends and still bring a fabulous balance of comedy, drama and of course steam.

I must say, that may be the only part that fell short for me… At one point it got to what felt like page 5 or 6 of a prolonged "steam" session which for me felt a bit out of place and dragged, I had already invested in the romance and believed their passion.

Regardless, as always I love these books: I adore the writing style, I love how we still get to see our old favourite characters while developing some particulars and I cannot wait to see where she takes them all next.

Ok, this is it I’m afraid, I’m done with these books. I’ve tried all three and hated them all. I think I’m the only person in the world these books don’t work for. I tried and tried and tried but I just can’t get behind them. I appreciate what the author it trying to do, and I’m so happy for her that she is able to teach so many people. I wish I was one of them!

With each book this Bromance series appears to be going from strength to strength.

Within the first few pages and the mentions of the other men, I felt right at home, and I loved how this linked in with the previous book, but also could stand by itself it needed. I am absolutely loving getting to know all the members of this Bromance book club and their other halves.

And Alexis Carlisle is a heroine to be reckoned with, there is a hell of a lot of story for her, and that is before we get to the friendship with Noah that she sort of hopes may turn into something more.

But nothing is smooth for either of them, and there is a whole lot of depth and emotion covered, and a couple of really important themes at the heart of this. And then for light relief we have Alexis' cat who seems to hate Noah, and well Noah fears for his life around him!

Alexis is gutsy, has a massive heart, and tries to do her best by everyone, including when a bombshell appears in her private life, that turns her world upside down, and leads her to make critical decisions.

Of course this is a romance so it would be remiss of me not to mention how hot the sex scenes were, there weren't many, but they were really well written and had my heart beating a touch faster too.

I love how in the first book of this series, the book the hero was advised to read, we get huge amounts of in the book to see the parallels for ourselves, but by this third instalment, not as much is made of the book, but more the philosophies this group of men live by and to be honest I fall a little bit in love with each of them, every time they appear.

Although a side plot, I loved seeing Mack acting like a groomzilla in a traditional role reversal of wedding planning which had the men making all those decisions which was rather amusing.

If you haven't read the previous books you are missing out on some fabulous books, and I already can't wait for book 4. I just love this series so much and please could I have real life versions of the men!

Thank you to Headline Eternal and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I am loving the new series by Lyssa Kay Adams -her Bromance books are a breath of fresh air in Romancelandia. They are modern, fresh and without many misogynistic tropes that some novels perpetuate. Crazy Stupid Romance is a third in a series and it tells a story of Alexis and Noah. This is a lovely from friends to lovers trope but without any character forcing his feelings on the other person. Both of them fight their insecurities and a consent is always present in the book, which is one of my favourite things about the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Headline for an early copy of this title.

So, romance books. Generally speaking, not what I love most. So, a romance novel about romance novels? Phew, sounds like too much romanticism at once.

But there were so many good reviews about the Bromance Book Club that I just had to know what the hype was all about.
So I tore through the first book. Then the second. And then this one.

And... Yeah, okay, I really did enjoy it. Thrillers are still my favourites (gimme some blood, woohoo!) but this is very fun and has an awesome set of characters.

My favourite, by far: The Russian. As an aside, if Lyssa Kay Adams is reading me, I am actually begging you: make The Russian gay! We need some more gayness in this series, and he had major gay vibes.

But back to this particular book. After a romance between married-but-in-trouble people, then enemies-to-lovers, we now have the trope of best-friends-become-lovers. Classic, yeah, but it always works, like the hotel room with only one bed (GASP) will always work.
This is really a nice work of romance. It has all the expected aspects: steamy scenes; cute declarations of love; fluffy hugs; some drama and tears.
But it also has, and that's what differentiates that book from so many others, a really good sense of humour. Also, as I mentioned previously, the set of characters is brilliant, and I'm sure that the author has found there the perfect trick to making a long, successful series.

It really is a great novel (and series) if you just want to relax, awww and laugh at some love awkwardness. Not a book I'll come back to again and again, but I'm really glad I decided not to listen to the reticent part of my brain and to give those romantic men (and women) a chance!

I LOVED this. I found it much more relatable than the first Bromance Book Club and I liked that both characters had tricky stuff going on in their personal lives.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Okay, this may be the best bromance book yet! This is one of the only books I have ever read that made me both laugh and cry. I loved Alexis and Noah’s story so much, and as usual all of the bromance book club guys added so much to the story.

How am I going to be able to wait until June for the next book???? 😩😭

'Crazy Stupid Bromance' is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series and definitely my favourite book so far. I love this series so much. It's funny, adorable and full of characters that I adore.

This book in the series follows best friends Noah and Alexis, who are having to come to terms with their feeings for each other and working out whether the other person feels the same way. As well as this, Alexis' has to come to terms with meeting her father and new siblings, who she has never met before, after finding out that her father needs a kidney transplant and she may possible be a match for him.

Noah and Alexis' relationship was so cute and I loved seeing their relationship grow from friends to lovers, and the chemistry was there between them from the first page. I loved how strong Alexis is in this book after everything she was having to deal with and how she was using her cafe to help victims of sexual harassment to have a place to feel safe and find someone to talk to as Alexis was a victim herself. I also loved Noah as a character and all of his nerdy references. He is definitely my favourite Bromance Book Club boy.

My only disappointment with this book was that there was so little of the other Bromance Book Club boys in comparison to the other books but I still loved all the small moments we got of them in this book.

I loved 'Crazy Stupid Bromance' so much and I highly recommend the Bromance Book Club series to anyone who loves romance as these books are some of my favourites, especially this one.

I'm so grateful for a review copy of this book, although unfortunately at this time I won't be able to access the two previous books and so would have to read this as a standalone and I don't feel like that'd be a fair judgement, I'm sure this is a fantastic book and I'll definitely revisit once reading the first two in the Bromance Book Club series. My sincerest apologies for requesting this book without this knowledge sooner as I regret that this arc could've gone to somebody who was more equipped for this book right now.

I LOVED this. It was fantastic. Lyssa's writing style is phenomenal. My favourite bit about these books (aside from the Bromance book club side of things) is the other stories in the back ground.

In this one, one of our characters is going through the motions of possible organ donation. And I feel like this is something that isn't spoken about often. I think Lyssa death with this amazingly.

I feel like the Noah and Alexis we meet at the beginning of the book are completely different people to who we leave at the end of the book. Their character growth - both together and individually - is outstanding and really hit me in the feels.

A huge 5 stars from me for Crazy Stupid Bromance. Can't wait for the next one

Crazy Stupid Bromance is the third instalment in the Bromance stories and I really enjoyed it! Although it is part of a series, it can also be read as a stand-alone novel. I have read the three which have been released so far and this is tied with the original as my favourite.

This one follows Alexis and her best friend Noah, who were in the second book. They have been best friends for a couple of years and have secretly got feelings for each other. Although this is a friends-to-lovers romance, the author also covers parental loss and organ donation, so although it’s a relatively light read there are serious aspects.

My one real niggle is that there wasn’t enough of the book club, which for me was the highlight of the first book. That being said, it isn’t really a criticism, I just miss them! I’m definitely looking forward to the next one which features The Russian, and I’m hoping the boys will be back in full force!

Many thanks to Headline Eternal for inviting me on the tour and providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Noah and Alexis have been best friends for almost two years. They each have secret feelings for each other but they are too scared to act in case they ruin the friendship.

Each of them have their own things going on, they each own their own successful businesses.

Noah's best friend Mack is getting married and is desperately trying to get Noah to open up his feelings more by joining in the bromance book club, needless to say this isn't his thing.

Alexis gets a visit from a stranger who claims she is her sister and that their father is in need of a kidney, Alexis' kidney. Alexis is thrown and goes on a journey filled with every emotion going.

Whilst each of them embark on these journeys, they must also deal with their feelings for each other.

This book was just lovely. I loved it. It was full of moments that made me smile but also moments that made me angry for each character. I was completely invested in each character and felt like I knew them personally.

Well deserved ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
