First off, I need to give a bit of background because I know if it was me and I was reading someones review of a book three books into a series, I would be wondering why said “crazy” person was diving into a series at this point.

So here it is. During Lockdown back in May of this year (seriously, will 2020 ever end?), I was browsing the internet when I came across an article on new romance authors. Now at this point, I can’t remember if it was Buzzfeed or Entertainment Weekly. Regardless, The Bromance Book Club jumped out of the page and needing some light hearted goodness, I jumped online and bought the first book. Needless to say I devoured this book and loved it so much, I bought Book 2, Undercover Bromance. You could say that I had suddenly become a fan of this author and series. The downside was that I had to wait for book 3. I had instantly pre-ordered the book after finishing Undercover Bromance, but I noticed that the publisher had put up eARCs on Netgalley. As is the case in these strange times, the EARC sat languishing on my kindle as time marched on. Until, the lovely publishers asked me to be part of the blog tour, which I jumped at the chance to do.

So we have a cliff note version on my history with the series and now I can get on with reviewing this most excellent addition to one of my newest favourite Contemporary Romance Series.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a straight up Friends turned Lovers romance book, with the book centred round Alexis and Noah, who were supporting characters in the previous book, undercover romance.

The book takes place about a year after the previous one, with Alexis’s café ToBeans Cat Café becoming the local support centre for women who have experienced sexual harassment or abuse, since Alexis had become well known for the part she played in holding her previous boss to account for sexual harassment.

Through this, Alexis and Noah had become friends since Noah helped by using his tech know how to help in justice being serviced. It is clear, at the start of the book that they are best friends, but underneath there is an attraction between them that neither really wants to pursue at the risk of jeopardising their friendship.

So, when a young woman drops into Alexis’s life with a bombshell about her past and a very big request to ask of her, the catalyst is set for these two to move to the more than friends level.

As is always the case with Romance novels, and some of the other members of the Bromance Book Club have commented, its not the ending but the journey to get there that is centre to this genre. However, you need characters that you can invest in to fully engage you as a reader. With Crazy Stupid Bromance, Adams once again creates characters that you can’t help but root for. Yes, at times you want to smack them over the head for reacting or doing something so stupid, but you want them to work it out.

At the start of the book, you can see the thin barrier that is in place with regards to Noah and Alexis’s relationship. They know each other so well from Alexis knowing Noahs favourite foods and buying him a Lego set for his birthday, to Noah knowing from Alexis body language or the way her voice will change pitch if something is affecting her. It rounds off these characters and shows how they know each other so well.

When a sister that Alexis never knew drops into her life with a request on Alexis to undergo testing to see if she could be a kidney donor for her estranged father, you see the protective side of Noah rear its head. It’s at this point their relationship morphs into more than friends and with it the complications that threaten the bond they share.

Noah and Alexis, as a leading couple, are two of my favourites in the series. Both have suffered loss and both don’t want to hurt the other by over stepping the boundaries, but in this very difficult and complex situation both make mistakes in the handling of the obstacles placed in their path.

What I really found interesting in the handling of this long lost family, huge request plot was how, from the books, shows and films I have seen, Adams steers away from not only completely vilifying Alexis’s father, but showing that the need to protect a loved one can have a lasting impact. No one is blameless but it shows how humans are flawed creatures.

As for Noahs own backstory, here we have a man who has had to live up to this impossible ideal of being the man he, and those around him, think his own father would have wanted. Coupled with anger at losing his father at such a young age, we have someone who feels that no matter what he does it won’t meet them and thus he will fail his father.

It is difficult to really convey what a joy this book really was to read. For me, this is an ideal and almost fairy tale type version of how I would love to see the world be. They are the best form of escapism in these uncertain times and I closed the book with a warm fuzzy feeling inside and huge grin on my face.

Oh, and Netflix, if you are looking for your next commission into Romance then I think you should look at these. I’m sure that Adams has plans for Colton and the Russian (two characters I really want to get their own books)

Oh this has been a welcome return of my absolute favourite book club. I definitely haven't been disappointed with this book. I feel like we've been able to revisit family and go back to my favourite gang.
It's no secret, I am a huge fan of this author. These books always deliver and never fail to leave me smiling. I just adore them. This is quite possibly my new favourite. I haven't been able to put this one down and have completely devoured this book from start to finish in just a couple of hours.
Adams has pulled me in and made me feel as though I am right there with the characters. Adams has created these characters so well, I feel as though I know them and have been able to return to them.
This book has moments where I have laughed out loud, but also moments where my eyes have filled with tears. I am so invested in these characters, it's been a delightful rollercoaster of a read for me.
Noah and Alexis are just wonderful. I have been rooting for them from very early on in this book. You can't help but love them.
I love that the Bromance book club have stepped up again. The cover of this is equally as gorgeous as Adam's previous books. However, this one is definitely my favourite.
I am definitely hoping for more from the Bromance book club. This is without a doubt a five star read. For me this has been magical, heartwarming and left me smiling. I most definitely recommend.

I really love this series of books, they never fail to amuse me and make me chuckle as we see the men read the romance novels that help them.
Alexis and Noah have been friends for few years, they both have feelings for each other, but their pasts have stopped them from moving further, but can going from friends to lovers work for them?
I must say the friends to lovers trope isn't my favourite, but I did enjoy this book despite that.
I loved the relationships the characters had, especially the male friendships, where they aren't afraid to show their feelings. I did feel that Alexis character was slightly more fleshed out and I wanted to learn more about Noah.
We hear more about how Alexis is coping after her sexual harassment case and the author also touches on victim blaming as well as grief, all I felt were written well and with sensitivity.
This did have elements of steam in, which was great as always, not too much so if you prefer not to have those elements then you won't be unhappy.
Cannot wait for the next one in the series now.

I really enjoyed reading this. I’ve not read any of this series before so I was slightly hesitant about jumping in to the third in the series but it was fine! You can definitely read these as standalones!

Anyway, this was a great read, easy and heartwarming!

Friends to lovers between two characters in the admired series of Bromance story.

Alexis and Noah were two of my favourite characters from the previous books, and I was looking forward to reading how their story will expand.

While it’s a charming and slow-burn romance, I felt like something was missing or was a bit too much at times, just like in the first two books.

I loved the continuous bromance and support between the guys and the women at each turning point and how they look out for each other plus the interaction is as expected, full of smart replies and quirky dialogue.

The story touches a lot more topics than just friends to lovers between Alexis and Noah, a heavy one that many people might find difficult to read but it adds a bit more reliably to the real-life issues and, as a medical staff member I know that we need more awareness of it, even if maybe, the author is trying to tell us her opinion regarding the topic, I can not fully agree with her, but that’s another story.

I’m an easy rating usually but for books that are very hyped and loved, I’m more critical and this one felt a bit flat in parts for me, hence the 3.5 stars rounded to 4.

4 stars

TW: grief over loss of a parent.

I loved this book and it is definitely my favourite in the Bromance Book Club series so far.
Alexis was such a lovely and kind character. I loved that she runs a cat cafe where fellow abuse survivors go for support with tea and cake on the side. Her grumpy Maine Coon cat Beefcake was an excellent addition to the book and made me laugh many times.
Alexis's love interest is Noah, her best friend (yep, a friends to lovers trope!). Noah is my favourite male character from this series. He is just such a decent guy. Loving, caring but like everyone else, not perfect and realistic. I loved their friendship so the change into partners was one every reader will want!
I have to say that one character that made me laugh the most was The Russian, who I hadn'treally understood until this book. He is such a kind soul and one particular moment with Beefcake had me chuckling (you will know when you read it!).
The storyling involves Alexis finding long lost family and being put into a complicated situation of being the only match for a kidney donor to save her absent Dad's life.
The storyline was full of emotion and tough issues but done SO well. There is also some decent smutty scenes for my fellow smut lovers!
I highly recommend this series, it just gets better and better with each book!

Please note that I was #gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

This third instalment of The Bromance Bookclub series follows Alexis who runs a cat cafe offering a safe space for victims of sexual harassment. When an unfamiliar girl approaches her, Alexis is convinced she’s another victim, but the truth turns out to be more surprising. Shaken by the latest discovery, she turns to her best friend Noah, who carries a secret of his own! As mysterious as it sounds, you can count on Crazy Stupid Bromance to deliver an adorable friends to lovers story - a much needed escape in times like these.

For me, The Bromance Bookclub series greatness stems from the familiarity of characters and the writing style of Lyssa Kay Adams that is funny while realistic and not sickly sweet. Crazy Stupid Bromance is a perfect read, especially if you’re after:
- a cozy story
- a hot (and nerdy) guy that melts your heart
- a giggle intertwined with a thought out plot.
You will not be able to put this book down, you have been warned!

Crazy Stupid Bromance is the perfect combination of comedy and serious love story. There is so much to enjoy here from the characters, to the message of forgiveness, and the friendship between not just the book club members but also the females too. All based around a sweet and heart warming romance. And Noah.

If you could describe my perfect book boyfriend you would only need two words now: Noah Logan. He loves lego, he wears his hair in a man bun, he’s a nerdy genius, he wears comic t-shirts, and he would do absolutely anything for the woman he loves. I would have felt jealous of Alexis but she absolutely deserves Noah’s devotion and then some. They were so perfect together, from their starting friendship, to their sweet and steamy romance.

From the start you never question their friendship, when they’re playfully bickering and making plans together it’s easy to see the camaraderie between them – and that little something that lurks beneath. Noah’s pining was brilliantly written, you could clearly tell he wanted more but didn’t want to ruin what they already had.

The comedy elements are balanced with the more serious topics that are bought up. Alexis not only has a horrid past, but her future is also in chaos when certain truths come to light. It was so lovely to see Noah be her support throughout everything and there were some very emotional scenes. This book definitely pulls at your heartstrings, one minute I was laughing (honestly, chapter 19 is gold, and also anything to do with Beefcake), and others I was tearing up.

If you’ve not read the Bromance Book Club (like me), you can easily start with this one but it will definitely leave you wanting more. Lyssa Kay Adams has a wonderful writing style that easily pulls you in and makes you care for her characters and I will definitely be going back to read the first two in the series!

I would just like to say a very big thank you to Emily at Headline Publishing for gifting me a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
From the very first page I really enjoyed this book and as it drew me in I found I couldn’t stop reading it.
The story is sweet and romantic, with a bit of sexiness and a few funny places that really made me chuckle!!
Alexis and her cat cafe became famous after coming forward as a victim of a celebrity chef’s sexual harassment. One day a girl goes into the cafe and claims that she is Alexis’s sister which confuses her and so she confides in her best friend Noah but little does she know that he’s secretly n love with her.
I loved this book from beginning to end and although it covers slightly heavy topics it’s still a light hearted read.

4.5🌟
Oh my I adore this series so much! I loved slipping back into the world of the Bromance Book Club. I forgot how comical the guys were when they are together.
The scenes with the guys and especially the ones with beefcake left me with tears of laughter streaming down my face! This story isn't all laughter and fun though. The story surrounding Alexis, Noah and their families was quite heartbreaking at times but I loved it. Lyssa does such a good job of mixing the series with the comical. A great addition to the series. I can't wait for the Russians story and to visit the bromance again. This is a series I would recommend to anyone especially if you need a good laugh with an equal side of swoon

These books get better with each instalment and how often can you say that about the sequel?

Alexia is building herself back up after events in the Undercover Bromance and is leaning on her best friend Noah for support - but there is definitely more to that relationship. Lyssa Kay Adams has a talent for building up sexual tension until you are about ready to skip to the last page to put yourself out of the misery. As with each book before there are equal parts happiness and frustration as the characters try to decipher her their relationship can work as it transcends where it started.

I for one cannot WAIT for book 4 and of course its about the fantastic Russian who is at this point an enigma!

Would recommend to all who love Talia Hibbert's series.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series by Lyssa Kay Adams. I enjoyed the first two books and was excited to read the latest installment. This book is an enemies-to-lovers romance between Alexis, the owner of a cat cafe, and Noah, a computer genius and the owner of his own cybersecurity company. Both Alexis and Noah lost a parent when they were young, and they are still dealing with grief. They bonded over the trauma of losing a loved one. Alexis's life is upended when she meets a woman who claims to be her sister. Noah is there to support Alexis, but the one thing he dreams of is one day to confess his feelings for her.

I love this series because it's funny, swoony, and it challenges the idea of what masculinity should and shouldn't be. My favorite thing about these books is the camaraderie and the banter between the members of the book club. They are hilarious! The first book is still my favorite, but Crazy Stupid Bromance is a very gratifying continuation of the series.

Alexis who runs a cat cafe and recently came forward about being a survivor of sexual harassment by her ex employer because of this her cafe has become a place for others to come for support. A woman has been coming in and staring at Alexis for a while they eventually get to talking and Candi claims to be her sister. Shocked and upset she ring her best friend Noah who she also has romantic feelings toward for his help.

Noah is a hacking genius who got caught as a teenager and has since turned his life around. He earns plenty of money, has great friends, owns his house and is in love with Alexis. Throughout the book he's her rock because what are friends for!

Overall this was a 4.5 read for me, it could have been 5stars but honestly Lexas newfound family gave me bad vibes. The fact that she just believed these new people and let me reel her in after such a short period of time frustrated me because Noah never gave her a reason to doubt him.

The friends to more aspect was done really well, no matter what neither of them wanted to ruin their friendship even though they both wanted more. The relationship was good once it got started and I love the protective cat beefcake

The bromance aspect which I normally love I found a bit tiring this time because Noah was being sensitive and the guys gave him all the blame which was a bit much in my opinion. Sometimes the man isn't the one who messes up and responsibility needs to be taken by the woman as well, two-way street people.

Since bringing down a sexual predator over a year ago, Alexis and her cat cafe have become a safe haven for fellow survivors. But when a girl turns up at the cafe with the same eyes as Alexis, her small world comes crashing down. Best friend Noah, a new member of the Bromance Book Club, is there to offer a shoulder to cry on. And more. If she wants it. But with neither wanting to damage their friendship, can their relationship ever get past go? The Bromance Book Club are here to help.

As with the previous two installment in the series, Crazy Stupid Bromance sits on the right side of the romance genre for me. It's insightful and offers up important conversations, growing in complexity and sincerity with each story. This story in particular feels very personal, involving kidney donation and living donors and I thought the topic was handled gracefully and respectfully (although not necessarily realistic timewise).

As always, it's the characters that really make this series what it is. The Bromance Book Clue is made up of this eclectic, loveable group of men who are from a multitude of backgrounds but they gel so well together. They've got each others back, are super respectful of any and all women, and that's so refreshing to see. Also, the subtle hints at the Russian and his rather unusual relationship with his wife have me super intrigued and excited for the next book. He's the bit of light relief in every one of these stories and I love him more and more.

Alexis and Noah also feel like a realistic couple. Comfortable in each others company, they are super sweet together and I found myself rooting for them from the get go. It helped a lot that I knew a lot of Alexis's background from Undercover Bromance, and could understand Noah's reasonings for being tentative. I often don't like the 'miscommunication' trope as it get very old very quickly, but here it's turned on its head a little bit (and the book club even pokes fun at the trope early on, which I found hilarious).

As this is a romance, yes the plot is predictable and pretty quick. There is the inevitable break down, break up, make up and grand gesture that has become almost formulaic of this series, but honestly sometimes we all just need a comfort read. This is that perfect hit of chocolate, wrapped up in a blanket on a rainy day.

Another great installment to the series, I do think these are getting better and better with each one. I cannot wait for the Russian's story next.

I haven't read any others in this series but this didn't impact on my reading. Characters from the previous books feature but each have their own stand alone story.

I fell in love with the main characters and was rooting for them to have their HEA. I expected the book club to feature a lot more but reflecting on the book, I would say it was the perfect amount. The book club helped Noah deal with feelings he had repressed and it was refreshing to see men showing and dealing with their emotions. I am so excited to read the Russian's story next!

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers romance with a side of family drama thrown into the mix….then this is the book for you!

This is the third installment of The Bromance Book Club series and I’ll admit this is the first one I’ve ever read which is a standalone story but I’ll definitely be going back to read the others now.

It was such a lovely book to pick up and get lost in. You will instantly fall in love with Noah and Alexis as they are just so good together, be it as friends or lovers. Despite knowing what is going to happen between them, it doesn’t matter, as Noah’s good friend Mack says at their Bromance Book Club ‘it’s the journey that they take which is what the readers want’ and it is very true. You know they will end up together, but it was a joy to watch them have to battle each hurdle in order to get there.

Whilst this is predominately a love story, I especially enjoyed the backstory of both Noah and Alexis. Each of them has lost a parent and part of the hurdles they face before they get together is how to overcome that grief and anger they feel from losing someone so close to them. Along with that Alexis has to deal with finding her biological Father and making that life changing decision on whether to save him by going through with a Kidney transplant.

Overall this a lovely romantic read all whilst exploring deeper issues along the way….oh and it’s a bit steamy in parts if you know what I mean!

I discovered the Bromance Book Club series earlier this year thanks to the r/romancebooks subreddit on Reddit so was really looking forward to reading this latest instalment and wasn’t disappointed!

Crazy, Stupid Bromance is book 3 but could be read as a stand alone easily enough. We meet characters from earlier instalments but their relevance to this story is explained enough that a new reader wouldn’t miss anything. This instalment tells the story of friends Alexis and Noah who both want more, unbeknown to each other. What follows is a lovely friends-to-lovers romance with subplots about broken families intertwined.

The book club itself is great for turning typical male characterisations on their heads and calling out plot points in discussions the characters have about typical romance novel tropes.

This latest entry is a binge worthy as it’s predecessors, is a fun read and shows that the series continues to get better as it progresses. Looking forward to book 4!

Crazy Stupid Bromance - Lyssa Kay Adams

An amazing 'friends to lovers' romance starring Alexis and Noah. There were some harder hitting topics in this book than I was originally expecting to find including grief, death of a parent, past sexual assault and organ donation. However I felt that they were dealt with so well throughout and were beautifully woven within the amazing build up of their romantic relationship.

Having not read the first two books in the series I was worried that I would not know what was going on, but I can guarantee that this can be read as a stand alone story. I love the concept of the Bromance 'all guys' book club (learning and getting a helping hand in their own lives from romance novels). There were some great supporting characters in the book which I felt gave a lot of humour including The Russian and Beefcake (the Cat).

I was shocked at how emotional this book got me at times, actual tears! This was really down to the grand gestures of love and the way that they were explained. It was heartfelt, with humour and totally emotional. I definitely want to go back and read the first two books. Loved it!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Publishers for the chance to read and review this book!
