This is a cute rhyming book about a spider who has so many shoes. The illustrations are well-done and cartoon-like, and they're very vibrant colors and draw the reader's eye. I love the fact that the spider's 8 shoes don't match at all and she has an explanation for each and every one.

A cute little girl and spider with so many shoes, giving out a by far one of the best children's read. I'm glad to have read books by Susan Kinsey.

A pointless endeavor that even children wouldn't enjoy. From the art to the writing, this was a chore to get through.

Yet another fun book from Susan Kinsey! This book had rhyming text, bright and colorful illustrations, and a spider with unmatched shoes. I love that the spider had a reason for each shoe and then purchases eight matching shoes for each of her children, that made me giggle.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Silly Story, But Errors

This book has fun illustrations with a spider wearing different shoes on her eight feet. The book is just meant to be silly fun, as the spider and the little girl go out shoe shopping for the spider’s new, barefoot children. At the end, the author shares 10 fun facts about spiders. I did see something, though, that I never like to see in a children's book. This is meant to be a read-along, and there are two glaring errors of spelling and capitalization. I never like to see language errors in any children's book, as young children are such sponges and learn from everywhere. The word *just* was capitalized in the middle of a sentence, and the spider referred to a *heal*, not a *heel* when referring to one of her shoes. If these errors had not been present, I would have given another star for my rating. I did receive a digital ARC of this, so then I checked out the book using my Kindle Unlimited subscription to see if these errors persist in the published book. Unfortunately, they do.

A great little book. Plenty of colour and interest in the pictures to appeal to young children, with opportunities for learning through colour and counting.

Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

My kid liked the cheerful pictures, especially the different shoes outline; and I liked how the book rhymed. We both enjoyed reading the facts about spider on the last page, she was fascinated by the line on how spider use their venom to turn their food into liquid in order to digest it.

This is a bizarre, yet funny children's book about a girl who goes on a shopping trip with a spider who is wearing 8 shoes. The spider is buying more shoes at the shops for some special people in her life, which I thought was very cute. The illustrations are very colourful and bright and the story is told in rhyming words, which is nice. My daughter loved this book and she enjoyed counting the shoes. I found the spider facts at the end of the book very interesting.

Thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A delightful tale of a spider with so many shoes. Who would have thunk? Have you ever med a spider with so many shoes? I have met women with so many shoes but I have to tell you, this sweet spider takes the cake. My granddaughters are captured by little critters and I know they would love this fun book on two things I would have never thought to put together - Spiders and Shoes. A great pairing.

A Special Thank you to BooksGoSocial and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

The way children look at the world around is so different from adults. No matter how much we want to treat them equally to us, sometimes we fail and we need to go down to their level so that they can understand what we are trying to explain. For this reason, we do need storybooks, songs or games.

That is why this book is amazing. It's a book that in a very interesting way, through rhyming verses, help us to introduce children to the world of shoes, what kind of shoes exist, and on what occasions they are worn, so that children can understand where to wear certain type of shoes. Unlike my daughter's desire to wear slippers on a wedding, or my pumps in kinder garden.
Interesting and useful at the same time. The Spider with so Many Shoes by SUSAN KINSEY is a great choice to spend a few hours with your child, and enjoy the colorfulness of the storybook while exploring the world around them. With this book, you will not only help your child understand when to wear certain shoes, you will also learn more about spiders. The beautiful illustrations combined with the interesting verses with the rhyme will be more than enough to keep your child's attention, which is not always easy, is it?
You can try to sing the verses, or role-play the voices of the two main characters, or simply with the help of this book solve the problem with your children's desire to wear slippers on a wedding.
Great work.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for granting me access to The Spider with so Many Shoes in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute preschool-age illustrated storybook about a girl who meets a spider wearing eight different shoes and asks why. The spider's longwinded rhyming answer is adorable, sure to please all the little preschool and kindergarten age kids who will have this read to them, and poses adorable questions about a shoe industry made for spiders and their eight legs.

At the end of the book, there is also a lite of eight kid-friendly facts about spiders.

I think this book will do a lot of help kids be interested in spiders, less afraid of them, and more likely to treat these essential creatures with kindness.

I will recommend this book to all the parents and young-grade teachers in my life.
