Thank you NetGalley, Christie Barlow and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for the ARC of Primrose Park. This is my personal review.
Primrose Park is book 6 in the Love Heart Lane series.
This is the story of Molly and Cam. They meet while Molly is a conference. They have a one-night thing and Molly knows she has fallen for this mystery man but when she he is gone in the morning and all she knows is his first name she feels lost.
The story unfolds when she is back home, and she spots mystery man walking his dog in the park.
When she talks to him, he is not at all the way she remembered him when they met.
I love this series and each book in it.
Primrose Park is written in such a wonderful way that my heart connected with Molly and Cam. The entire cast of characters in the story fit together perfectly. I am excited to read more from this series.

This is another fantastic book in the Love Heart Lane series of books. They just seem to get better and better. It's always lovely to catch up with previous characters, and see how they are.
This is a standalone book, although the previous characters appear in this book, this book is about Molly and Cameron, who are new characters. If you haven't read the previous books though, then I suggest that you do, as they are so good.
There is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about this book. I love the characters, it has a good storyline, it's enjoyable and heartwarming. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

Molly, a responsible and caring vet who is aces with difficult dogs, finds herself so taken with Cam the dentist she meets at the hotel where she's gone for a conference that she....has a one night stand! She's shocked at herself and about well,,,,no spoilers. She''s also very unhappy when she bumps into Cam again and he doesn't react the way she's hoped. Luckily, she's got good friends, especially Dixie who has Darling the dog (as much as character as the humans). Yes, this is trope-y but Barlow has a. way with storytelling that makes you want to find out why Cam is being such a stick. I'd not read the earlier books but now I'm going to look for Barlow in the future- this is a fine standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I always love a visit to Love Heart Lane and this was just as wonderful as all the others in the series. Christie Barlow writes such brilliant all rounded characters and Molly, the main character in this one is lovely: warm, independent and fun. It was great to see her interact with the other familiar faces in the village- meeting up with Isla, Allie, Drew and Fergus again was a treat. I especially loved Molly’s relationship with Dixie and thought the introduction of Darling the dog was brilliant.

Love Heart Lane is one of the most picturesque book locations in all of storyland. I love returning to this delightful village in Scotland and Primrose Park sees us re-visiting friends old and new.

Author Christie Barlow has written a winning formula with the Love Heart Lane series; the characters are written with great warmth and are easily relatable, we have a mix of personalities and ages, an abundance of animals and wildlife, feelgood factor and uplifting storylines through adversity but most of all there’s a strong sense of community spirit.

Each story in the series is centred around a different character so can be read as a standalone but I can wholeheartedly recommend reading the whole series in order to gain maximum enjoyment from this lovely series.

This is Molly’s story. Molly is a successful Vet who is happily single but is starting to feel broody with all her friends settled with a young family. Molly lives in the neighbouring village to Heartcross but was born in the village so grew up with the friends we’ve grown to love from the stories. An unexpected encounter with a handsome stranger sets Molly’s heart a flutter and after one magical night Molly’s heart and mind is full of this mystery man. However, it’s a few months on since this chance encounter and Molly is no further forward in finding out who he is until he turns up in Heartcross.

This second meeting with her mystery man doesn’t go quite to plan resulting in many emotional and physical challenges ahead for Molly. Molly needs the support of her friends more than ever.

I really enjoyed reading Primrose Park it left me feeling contented with it’s underlying storyline focusing on friendship, new beginnings and community spirit. The introduction of new characters slotted straight into the lovely bunch of residents and I am so looking forward to learning more about Molly and what lies ahead in future stories.

Christie Barlow writes with love and warmth and this comes through every page of her books.

I have read other books by Christie Barlow but somehow Primrose Park is actually the first in her Love Heart Lane series I’ve read. I’m kicking myself that I haven’t read the others! However, I can truthfully say that if you haven’t read the others, you will be able to read this quite happily as a standalone, despite it being the sixth book in the series.

The book gets off to a sizzling start when vet Molly literally bumps into gorgeous dentist Cam in a hotel car park. The connection between them both is instant and so strong that they end up spending the night together, which is most out of character for Molly. But the next morning he has left without saying goodbye. Imagine Molly’s delight when a few months later he turns up in Heartcross and then her horror when he doesn’t seem to be the kind and loving person she remembers.

I don’t want to say too much about the plot of this book at all as there is so much that you really want to find out yourself as you read. So I’m not going to tell you what happens between Molly and Cam except to say that the attraction between them fairly crackled off the page! I really enjoyed reading about the journey they went through as they reconnected with each other and it certainly wasn’t always straightforward!

What I particularly enjoyed about this book was the sense of community throughout. I do enjoy a book set in a small community which is one of the reasons I am annoyed with myself for not reading these books early. I loved the way that the community rallied round to rebuild their beloved Primrose Park and that they did this because of its significance to Dixie, an older resident approaching her 80th birthday. I also liked the fact that Molly wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she thought was right, even though there were one or two rather unsavoury characters making life quite difficult for her. I particularly liked Molly’s friend Isla who seemed great fun and was a great support to her when she needed it.

And then there is Darling who might just be the most inappropriately named character I’ve come across in a book. Or at least she did seem that way initially but she mellowed and showed her worth later in the story.

I’m pleased to say that the first book in the series, Love Heart Lane, is now on my Kindle and I’m looking forward to going back to read the other books and get to know some of the characters mentioned in this one. Primrose Park is definitely a book to have on your summer reading list if you like uplifting, romantic fiction.

Another fab read in the Love Heart Lane series, where the main focus is on Molly the local vet.

With a bunch of characters you will love and a couple you will hate this is an all round joyful read.

Darling the dog is such a Darling and Dixie is a blast!

Heartcross always sounds wonderful with a great community, a place I would certainly love to visit if it was real.

I highly recommend you pick up this little delight.

This is the latest book from a series Love Heart Lane, but each one can be read as a stand alone. This is probably my favourite to date. Its funny, romantic, touching, emotional but above all thoroughly enjoyable. Fabulous characters old and new and keep an eye out for Darling the dog. This is certainly a book that will pull you in from the first page and keep you entertained. I heartily recommend this book.

Thank you NetGalley, author Christie Barlow, and One More Chapter for giving me a free arc of this book in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
5 stars
While this book is the 6th book in the Love Heart Lane series, this book can be read as a stand-alone, but I would recommend the other books in this series!
This book follows Molly McKendrick, a successful local vet and newly professional dog trainer, and Cam. One night, at a conference, they feel a spark of attraction and one thing leads to another and they find themselves sharing in a night of passion. Upon waking the next morning, Molly finds herself alone without any kind of note or explanation for Cam's sudden disappearance. All she knows about him is he is a dentist. Feeling kind of sad, Molly leaves the conference and returns home to town of Glensheil. Three months later, Molly starts to feel under the weather and after talking with her friends, she finds herself receiving unexpected news that will change her life forever. Will she ever find Cam the dentist?
This book swept me up in to a story of friendship, family, and unexpected love. The characters are well written and relatable, especially the women. I love the friendship and support they give each other. Dixie and her dog Darling were such wonderful characters. I felt so sorry for Dixie and her relationship with her family. They seem to only want her possessions and not a real relationship with her. Cam was not my favorite character at the beginning of this story, but he grew on me as his story progressed. Molly was exactly the woman he needed. Their relationship was not all smooth sailing, but had a bit of a bumpy start, but developed into something long lasting and real. The writing really gives the reader a sense of a small town life and a desire to live in such a place. Overall, this was another great installment in this amazing series and I can not wait for the next book! I would recommend this book for those who love small town light hearted romances.

I’m a relative newcomer to the Love Heart Lane series, I thoroughly enjoyed the last instalment, so I was delighted to be invited to review Primrose Park.
This is a love story which comes at the reader from a slightly different angle. Our protagonist, Molly, is a vet who, although out of character, thoroughly enjoys a one-night stand, only to be ghosted the next morning. With only a first name and a vague idea of what he does for a living, Molly has no chance of tracking him down. She’s sure that she hadn’t imagined the connection that they felt, but there’s no explanation for his disappearance.
Throwing herself back into her everyday life, Molly fosters a spoiled Jack Russell and embarks on training her. The dog, Darling, has been left homeless when her owner was suddenly admitted to a nursing home. What Molly could never have imagined is that Darling would lead her to discovering her mystery man’s identity and, maybe even save her life.
This is a delightful story and I simply loved it. So much so, that I finished it in one sitting. We briefly visit some of the former characters of Love Heart Lane, but there is a wealth of newcomers who are great additions to this lovely community.
Without a doubt, I have no desire to ever meet Albie and Birdie, two more callous sorts would be hard to find! However, it’s impossible not to fall a little in love with Dixie, a delightful, feisty octogenarian with no plans to retire into the background.
I really enjoyed the way that Christie Barlow brought this book to life, each character added a fine layer to the story which was a joy to read. The romance is there, albeit in a retrospective order, but easily engaging and more than satisfactory.
If this is your most recent visit to Heartcross or your very first trip, you are certainly in for a treat.

Molly McKendrick a qualified vet who drives a racing red convertible beetle and owns her own practice and animal hospital in the town of Glensheil. She is known around town as being the local dog whisperer and and for as long as she can remember her career has been her life.

Already leading a busy life, Molly decides to start a new business venture, dog behavioural therapy. Molly goes to a conference at a hotel to learn from some of the best in the field and whilst there has a run in with a rather handsome stranger that stirs up alot of feelings inside of her and leaves her holding a pair of his underwear in her hands.

Molly finds herself intrigued by this man and after another encounter with him she ends up inviting him back to her hotel room later that night. The next morning she wakes up to find the man of her dreams has disappeared and all that she knows about him is that his name is Cam and he is a dentist......

After spending a few months trying to track down Cam the handsome dentist with no luck, Molly
runs into her mystery man again in Primose Park but he is far from the person that she remembers from the hotel, the man she thought she shared a connection with.

Around the same time, Molly also receives a rather unexpected surprise that is going to change her life forever.

Throw in an unexpected friendship with a loveable old lady named Dixie and snappy little dog called Darling and you have yourself the perfect chic-lit read!

Primose Park is a charming read, full of love, laughter and friendship. There is a real sense of community in this book and it was hard not to fall in love with all of the characters.

Huge praise to Christie Barlow for another fantastic read . Her books never fails to disappoint. It was beautifully written and I highly recommend reading.

Thank you to Netgalley and One More Chapter for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Great, quick read that will leave you smiling and believing in happily ever afters.
Molly is a successful vet, always willing to take on more projects and jobs to help her beloved community. One night at a convention, she meets Cam and there is an instant attraction. They share an amazing night together and then Molly wakes up to find Cam has gone, left with no way to contact him. Three months later, Molly literally runs into Cam, and neither of their lives will ever be the same again.
Love this story and characters, my favorite is Dixie! Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I don't know how Christie Barlow does it but once again she was written a simply stunning book that I couldn't put down, and completely hooked on.

From the initial meeting between Molly and Cam, which is rather memorable in its own right, and my only complaint is that it was a fade to black sort of a scene instead of heavy on the action once it looked like things were getting heated. To the way three months later she is wondering why it was a one night stand, as she was convinced there was a connection - this book has it all.

Then there is Darling, who is rather contrary to her name, but its through Darling that Molly is brought into the orbits of Dixie and Birdie. And now that is a storyline to watch out for. Actually Darling I loved instantly, well she does have 4 legs, and just needs to learn to settle down a bit and listen to instructions.

It is so good to be back in Heartcross and to catch up with all our favourite characters from the other books, especially Isla who is Molly's best friend. I felt like I was back home almost as soon as the story moved into Heartcross and Glenshiel.

And although this may be book 6 (how is it book 6 already!), in the Love Heart Lane series, it can easily be read as a standalone story, as we've not had these main focal characters take centre stage before.

And what about the tile of the book, Primrose Park, well let's just say it plays a rather large part in the book itself, in a few of the storylines and sounds like a beautiful park that the whole community loves.

Just another heartwarming and joyous read that left me smiling. I can't wait for my next visit to Love Heart Lane as soon as Christie Barlow writes it!

Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which i have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this early copy. It was fabulous.
I've loved every book in this series. Heartcross, a place I now know so well that I feel like I'm living in the book. I know the people and all the places. I love it when a book makes me feel so immersed. How lovely is Molly? I was with her through her rollercoaster of emotions. There were times I felt like sobbing.
It definitely is a place you don't want to leave once you visit.
A gorgeous book, and a real escape from the real world. Can you tell I loved it?!

A quick read. This is tough for me to review. I mean, I get that in this type of romance we have to suspend reality to some degree. BUT. Molly meets a guy and has maybe 20 min of total combined conversation with him during one afternoon. One night stand. And then they meet up again 3 months later and is all about how he is different. Again, trying to suspend the reality, but I had a tough time with this. You don't know someone after 20 mins. Just a but too hard to suspend reality to that degree.
