Rachel Wesson is one of my top 3 favorite authors. She certainly doesn’t disappoint with this new story she just came out with. I laughed and I cried and It really touched me. No one knows just how bad the depression was unless they were there and Rachel can make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Love love love this book!!!

Rachel Wesson’s books have never disappointed me. The research she puts in to her books is reflected in her stories. So much detail is noted for the time periods she writes about. A Home for Unloved Children takes place during the depression. Her descriptions of the times and the horrible conditions people had to endure make you feel such angst. The title says is all, “ a completely heartbreaking and gripping historical fiction page turner”. I could not put the book down. I had to see what Lauren would get into next. This book invokes so many feelings, anger, sadness, compassion, joy.. I can’t wait to read more.
