As a Sinologist who lived in China for over 5 years, I'm somewhat embarrassed that I've never read a book about Traditional Chinese Medicine. Sure, many concepts constantly come up in daily life, but I've never properly taken the time to educate myself on its principles.

Clouds Over Qingcheng Mountain is a solid start to learning about the power of spirituality in TCM. It discussed the history of Daoist health principles and these principles themselves. I have learned so much about the connection of body and mind - something we usually take for granted, and yet meditation and breath work can be incredibly powerful in maintaining a healthy, balanced body.

This book contains extensive information, both theoretical and practical, about meditation, breath, relaxation techniques and the posture. It's a well of information on Daoying, the Qi and taichi - things I knew only basics about.

The only thing I didn't like is the format of my advance reader's copy - although I do believe it is not the case in purchased ebooks, my version had waaay to many annoying random words and syllables in the middle of sentences and pages. It made my reading experience less than enjoyable, having to figure out what words to skip and why some letters are missing.
