The Betrayal is an ultimate irony for the mIn character. A successful, recently retired divorce lawyer is hit with shocking betrayals on her 62nd birthday. This fast-paced read has multiple layers of mysteries that include several of the worst, heart-wrenching types of betrayals by family and close friends. As the dots of truths are slowly uncovered, her life becomes intertwined in the tragedies of others. Through the sifting of facts, the embarrassment and utter disbelief at her gullibility give way to realizations that the inner strengths which helped her become so successful remain. A future can be better and brighter, built much stronger through an awakened sense rooted through survival of The Betrayal.

This book started off quite good, it seemed very promising. But then it dragged in the middle and then the latter part felt like an anti-climax. I was not wowed by it but it was still an ok read.

I'm so sorry to say this but I just couldn't get into this book. I just felt nothing towards any of the characters. A quick and easy read though

Being cheated on is one of the most experiences. This main character was not only cheated on by her husband but may have been set up for murder. A highly readable psychological thriller.

This is the second book I've read by this writer but a genre shift from the previous. Thomas has created an intricate story that I simply couldn't put down. I read deep into the night, turning the pages to find out what was happening. I had a firm idea of who the baddie was. Reader, I was wrong! Very well done.

A relaxing read, perfect as a holiday or rainy day book.

Storyline interesting and kept me turning the pages. Not my usual read, so it was nice to have a book with a beginning, middle and an almost end! Not sure if the characters were totally believable, or that the plot hung together well in places, but still worth a read, a really nice change. The Olivia/Denny dynamic was odd, but perhaps that’s families for you!

It was really a book of two stories intertwined, though they did go their separate ways in the final chapters, but characters dropped out of the story without any explanation, so there were a few loose ends that needed neatening up.

The Betrayal is a quick paced tale about the aftermath of discovering a betrayal. A murder soon follows, plus more betrayals. I enjoyed reading this book about a divorce attorney who discovers her husband is sleeping with another person.

An excellent thriller! The characters were well drawn and the storyline flowed seamlessly. The mystery kept me guessing until the very end. Highly recommended!

The Betrayal by Terry Lynn Thomas is a psychological thriller. This book starts out strong then in the middle slows down but picks up towards the end. This was a quick read that made me want to keep reading to find out how it ends. I was a little disappointed that for me there were was still some questions I would have liked answered. Thanks Netgalley for this ARC.

This psychological thriller starts a little slow but really picks up in the end. The character of Olivia Sinclair is described wonderfully! I really felt myself empathizing with Olivia and rooting for her to prove her innocence. This book has murder, infidelity, and mystery!

Thank you for this advanced copy of The Betrayal in exchange for my honest review.

An outstanding psychological thriller.
Olivia Sinclair is shocked when she receives an anonymous video showing her husband Richard sleeping with someone else. After years of handling other people’s divorces, she thought she could recognise a marriage in trouble. She angrily throws Richard out of the home they share. But days later she’s arrested—for the murder of his mistress.
Olivia knows she’s innocent but, with all the evidence pointing at her and an obvious motive, she must find the real killer to clear her name. She may be used to dealing with messy divorces, but this one will be her most difficult case yet. Olivia’s husband has already betrayed her—but would he set her up for murder?
Read it. Love it. This is a masterpiece.
Thanks to NetGalley and HQ for giving me an advance copy.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Olivia Sinclair is upset when she receives an email showing her husband having sex with his secretary. The next day her husband's secretary is found murdered and Olivia is the prime suspect. This book kept me guessing from the first page until the end. I cant wait to read Terry Lynn Thomas's next book.
