This was a cute and really fun read! There is a lot of sex - not explicit; mostly closed door scenes. I have a hard time with everyone thinking Kat is SO old. She is only early 40s which is no old at all. Other than that, the story was enjoyable; watching Kat go on various dates and figure out herself and what she wants after her divorce.

A touch of reality is brought to bear in a book disguised as a comedy-romance. There is a lot of truth in this book and it is great to see the author addressing the reality of starting over in the world of dating.

Couldn't get into this book, the heroine with her self-righteousness and crass manner completely turning me off this read, let alone making me want to root for her

Great book! Loved it! Was one I was able to read through without wanting to stop. Would definitely recommend.

Talk about bad luck with men! Kat definitely had it. This was a fun story to read.

It is the story of a Kat a newly single woman who gets thrown back into the dating scene when she finds out that her husband wants a divorce. Being single now, she's 40-ish, is not the way that she remembers it.

This book was very funny and is a must read. Anyone who is going through a divorce and finds themselves getting back into the dating scene must read this. But also any who just wants to have a good laugh.

I received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

A great read.
Kat suddenly finds herself single again after being dumped by her very boring husband. Let loose on her "Planet Single" she embarks on an adventure to find herself again and to find love again. Hilarious online dating failures; wonky office romances all make for fun reading.
Eventually Kat finds herself and settles into her new life.
A light summer beach read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me the chance to read this book.

This is a type of book where it`s not you it`s me - but with a little bit of: it is you. I was just bored with the story and characters.

I did not get to read this book before it was archived. I apologize. But, the description listed sounds highly entertaining. It seems like it would be a fun, easy read.

It look a little bit to get into but I really loved the characters and the story. This book felt like an accurate depiction of someone re-entering the dating scene after their marriage ending. Dating is tough and dating later on in life, can be even harder. It is a charming and delightful read!

Overall, I very much enjoyed this romantic comedy. It’s the first book I’ve read by Maggie McGuiness, but I’ll be looking for more..

I really liked all the characters. Each one was well developed and unique in a way that added life and dimension to the story.
The reason I didn’t give 5 full stars is that I felt the story drag a little bit in the second half.it felt that the story kinda stalled and wasn’t progressing, but, to be fair, that’s true to Kat’s life and reflects exactly how she felt. ...
This book is 4.5 stars for me, and we’ll worth reading. Especially the end! The end is perfect

This isn't my normal genre, but I quite enjoyed it. I needed a light book that isn't complicated or deep. This fit the bill. It was a quick read that had me laughing out loud more than once.

The only reason I'm giving it a 3-star rating is I feel like I've read the same book before. It needs more of a unique factor.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy in exchange for my honest review.

What a delight to read!
I loved following Katarina as she lands on Planet Single after many years of marriage and 2 boys. Through the shocking split she goes from being at stay at home mom, bored out of her mind with the numbness of being so controlled through daily monotony.
As Kat grows into her own role, she discovers parts of her that had been locked down for so many years she had forgotten they existed.
Through the prompting of her new friends, in her new life, Kat tries her hand at online dating, but discovers that being single and 40 is not a game.
Following her through a delightful series of dinners, drinks, and bad dates, McGuinness keeps the story flowing and the emotional connection intact.
I laughed with her, I cried with her, I hugged my kindle when I wanted to hug her.

This was a fantastic rom-com chick-flick that wasn't boring or predictable. It was funny, engaging, and unexpected. A delightful read.

Bad kissers, Sexy males, handsome detectives- they do sound quite intriguing.
It is not a love story, it's more about finding yourself through loss, love, experience. The character Kat is quite relatable, she's not picture-perfect. She makes mistakes, picks herself up, and goes on. I was rooting for her. The story was kinda like chick-lit s the narration was at times amusing and at times kinda slow and steady. overall, I really liked it.

Thrust back into the world of dating, poor Kat finds herself in uncharted territory. The characters were solid and so was the story. It had one laughing out loud with the quirky antics. Although this is not a type of book I usually read, I did find this one to be a nice adventure outside my comfort zone. It brought to life the world of dating after a certain age or after a divorce. I look forward to reading more from this author. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Funny and fun! This is a novel tackling the outcomes of dating at a later age and of all the pitfalls it can entail. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nicely written. It wasn’t exactly what I had hoped it would be, but maybe can be fun for other people and more relatable to them. Overall interesting read.

It was such a cute, relatable story about starting over again and finding your footing in the single world after being out of the scene for so long. I wasn't sure how to feel about it to start with but it pleasantly surprised me.

Single life – the second time around. Was looking for love always this complicated?

"The night I landed on Planet Single, I had no idea I was about to blast off from the familiar married landscape. If I’d known, I could have packed a few essentials like some nicer undies, a dating guidebook and a much thicker skin, but I didn’t have the chance. I was dumped – defenceless – into a strange new world."

Relatable, quirky, and seriously funny, Planet Single is an Australian romantic comedy about starting over after divorce. Join Katerina as she sets off to create a new life, meeting a succession of dodgy dates, two contrary inner voices, a handsome detective, and a whole tribe of young and sexy colleagues. Who knew selling stationery could be so much fun?

Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride of dating adventure, laugh-out-loud humour, and heart-wrenching moments. Will Kat ever find what she’s looking for?

This was a wonderful read very engaging. The characters were well developed and likeable.
The only thing I did not like was how often the character referenced her age and how old that was. I did not think mid 40’s was old. Other than that it was a good read.
