I loved this book!!

I thought that the setting was lovely and the author did an excellent job at bringing the B&B and the characters to life, I was willing the characters to overcome their feelings to ensure that they had a romance that was full of hope and and dreams and I loved the ending.

The is the first book that I have read by Kellie and it won't be my last - this was well written and the details give you a feeling of being there with them.

It is 5 stars from me for this one - I really did love it!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Samantha’s always loved Christmas at Snowflake B&B. It’s always been her special place, and cooking over the festive season, which was always her favourite time of year.

That is, up to when Reuben, who writes thriller books buys the beautiful inn, which she thought would one day she would own.

So, a grumpy as well as too good looking, it seems that Reuben has no experience of running a B&B, never mind cooking, he spends most of his time in his study, his way of hiding from the guests.

But Sam whose not interested in love, let alone the person who might make lose the only place where she has ever felt like home.

So, it appears that it’s going to be up to her to stir up a little bit of magic at Christmas.

Will Sam be able to thaw out Rueben so that he doesn’t continue to hide in his study, and in the process hold onto her happy place????

Recommend it.

Firstly, Kellie's writing was right up my street; another author I can add to my list of picking up a book and just knowing straight away that I am going to connect with the way the story is written. I didn't get lost, have to re-read sentences or feel like I wasn't part of what was going on. Everything was immediately warm and comforting, so I settled right in from the first few pages!

Let's talk about the setting next. Who doesn't dream about spending the days before Christmas in a dreamy manor surrounded by a beautiful landscape covered in snow? I know I definitely do. Curling up next to a log fire, with a steaming coffee or hot chocolate, while the smell of Gingerbread wafts through the air and Christmas music is playing gently in the back ground - clearly I've dreamt about it a lot! :p Kellie delivered this stunning escape with the Snowflake B&B. There wasn't a moment that wasn't filled with festivity and Christmas sparkle. I loved it!

The person behind all of that Christmas magic was Sam. She was incredible. It's hard to put into words how I felt because I don't want to act like I'm pitying her. She was a force and so strong, but yes I did feel for her, because a lot of the issues she was battling within were quite heavy. Instead of feeling like 'Come on Sam get it together,' there's this underlying patience that I had to have because Kellie wrote with such heart and sensitivity that I felt like I had to witness Sam evolve and figure things out at her own pace. I couldn't rush her or get annoyed, because I gained such an understanding of why she was the way she was. Amidst it all though she kept Christmas cheer alive and was perfect for Reuben.

Reuben was so cute. I felt like he was different to a lot of men I read about. He was shy, so not confident and was battling his own insecurities. This made those moments of flirting or even his casual playful dialogue with Sam that much sweeter. I was rooting for him the whole way through! I loved that he was a writer too, going through the process. I understood his plight for trying to write and being stuck and it made me happy when things started coming together, though I won't give too much away!!

If you're looking for a festive read with heart, joy and complete and utter cosiness, then I highly recommend you pick up a copy of 'Snowed In At Snowflake B&B.' This definitely won't be my last book by Kellie Hailes!

A Little Christmas Escapism....
Festive romance at the Snowflake B&B. Protagonist, Samantha, loves the festive season and everything about Christmas. Indeed her job as chef at the Snowflake, at this time of year, has been perfect even if it wasn’t her own establishment. However, a new owner brings a different and a rather unwelcome direction. Entertaining, witty and heartfelt. A little Christmas escapism.

Another gorgeous and festive read from Kellie. Sam and Reuben were the most wonderful of characters & their slow-burning romance was everything I could have wanted. Although they were two very troubled souls, they couldn't have been more perfect for one another - they were meant to meet and heal together. I absolutely adored reading all festive activities that the two of them and their guests were getting involved with, in order to keep busy during their time cooped up in the B&B. Overall, this was just an absolutely lovely read, perfect for this time of the year, I would highly recommend.

A great festive read. Samantha has worked at the B&B for years, and dreamed of owning it herself. but her bosses retire and the B&B is bought out by Reuben who has no clue how to run the place. Snowed in with their guests, Samantha and Reuben grow closer, but what will happen when the snow melts and they can leave the buble they have been in?
