Thank you to NetGalley and Gary Tubes for providing a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have read quite a few Keto books now but this might be the most intriguing one I've read due to it not being written by a dietician, personal trainer, etc. This book has been written by a journalist who has gone after this topic with a critical eye, seeking evidence in support and against the low carb/keto diet. It's been great to get insight into all of the different conversations ongoing around the subject, skeptical or otherwise. Recommended reading for those interested in learning more about the subject.

I’d recommend The Case for Keto to those who want a booked packed full of information, science and facts about keto. The author describes The Case for Keto as ‘a work of journalism masquerading as a self-help book’. You won’t find any recipes or meal plans in this book because the author states that he isn’t an expert in those areas. I found there to be a lot of interesting and useful information but the was way too much writing on the pages with little space between what I would guess are paragraphs. After a while it started to seem like it all just started to blend in together.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
