Once you get past the theory sections at the start of this books it is actually really helpful. I was able to reflect on my parenting and gets practical tips on specific areas of growing up. Seeing things from a teenagers perspective was helpful. This book is great to have to refer back to when specific issues crop up. I have already made decisions on how to change the way I speak to my child while respecting their need for space and control. It is a must for parents wanting to get through this difficult stage relatively unscathed ! Thanks to Netgalley for a preview of this book.

A good read overall, very indepth if you like the psychological side of parenting. Maybe a bit too much for me though.
