Secret royalty in a medical setting. What a great way of making the reader jump right in and lose herself in the magic of the secret prince. I loved it and would thoroughly recommend it.

I am quite the lover of medical romance's, so this book called out to me straight away. However, it is far from being your typical run of the mill drama, as our leading man in this story has several hidden talents.
After working hard to reach his current position as Chief of Seattle's main hospital, as well as being a successful ER Consultant, Dr Dom Di Rossi knows this will all come to an end some day, for as well as excelling in his career, he is also next in line, after his father to become King of Isola Verde.
When his father is rushed into the ER, it is as though everything goes in slow motion, and realisation dawns on him, that his time here is up.
Dr Emilia Featherstone is Dom's old medical school rival, but when she see's the inner turmoil in his eyes, she can't resist getting involved and trying to help this prince work out what to do for the best.

This book is full of drama from the offset, and the characters are refreshingly unique. I thought the plot was well paced, and had so much going on throughout it certainly kept me hooked to the very end

An engaging, sexy romance that has you unable to put it down.

Falling For The Secret Prince is a fantastic read. Sweeps you away with characters that are easy to connect with and a story you fall in love with. Both the main characters go on their own journeys and have their own vulnerabilities that makes them feel very real.

Dr. Dom Di Rossi and Dr. Emilia Featherstone knew each other through college and now work together.. However, Dom is actually a Prince - Who knew - well apparently no one. Highly unlikely in the age of social media.

It was an OK story, but not captivating and I would not recommend it unless you like stories set in hospit6als.

Dom and Emilia have known each other since med school and have been constantly trying to beat each other ever since! But Dom has also been hiding a secret, he is the next in line to the throne and as he is getting older he is getting ready to step up and become King. When an accident brings his father into his ER he finds his personal life starting to unravel and confides in Emilia, they slowly start to get closer and closer until she is all he can think about.
A lovely read and a great book

Believable characters, and a well written story. I really enjoyed it and will be looking out for more from Alison Roberts.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Dom and Emilia have been competing against each other to be the best since they were in medical school and now they are working together at Seattle General Hospital but a car accident is about to change everything for them
I loved Emilia as a character, she has been through so much in her life and is determined to put the past behind her. She is smart, talented and very good at what she does but she also has a vulnerable side which while she keeps hidden is there and which influences who she is and what she does
Dom has a secret, he is a prince but his family has allowed him to come to America to learn to be and to practice as a doctor. Then his father is in an accident and Dom will need to resume his royal duties. His closest relationship is with Emilia and he lets her into his secret which does scare him but he also realises that he wants to spend more time with her before he leaves. Dom doesn’t let this secret stop him being really good at his job or from challenging Emilia to be the best. He is aware of his responsibilities but he is also so normal which made me love him
There is a lot of medical detail in this book which I personally loved reading about, most of it focused on traumas and what has to be done both when the person arrives but also some of the challenges that the staff face in the battle to keep their patient alive. Both Emilia and Dom as so passionate about their work and this comes across so strongly and I found myself pulled into the drama and caring about the patients and what would happen with them next
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a medical romance with some fabulous characters and the possibility of a Cinderella story

This story will appeal to those who like lots of medical detail in their medical romance. A standalone book in the Royal Christmas at Seattle General series, Dr Dom Di Rossi is the chief ER consultant at Seattle General with a secret which allows him to pursue his medical vocation. An unexpected patient in his ER threatens his secret life. Dr Emilia Featherstone is a long time rival of the ER chief they have mutual respect, but nothing more until she senses he is hiding something.

The romance between Dom and Emilia is slow, built out of mutual respect which accepts the secrets they both have. The medical ethos is well written, but at times the medical moments obscure the romantic ones.

This is Grey's Anatomy style romance with likeable characters and a positive ending. There are three other books in this series written by different authors.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon in return for an honest review.

Secret Princes are all the rage at the moment - at least this one isn't a RockStar but a very successful ER Consultant and chief of Seattle's main hospital.
Prestigious as his work is, and however hard he worked to achieve this role and his success, he has always known that at some time it would come to an end, and he would have to go back home, to Isola Verde and become King. Absolute Monarchy rather than Constitutional it seems. And this time arrives. And he is needs more .. so his old rival in medical school is seen as that more..
In many ways this draws on the typical medical drama - a successful male and a female in his department - except that this female is a genius and completed her medical trauma training at a very young age. And is not a nurse!
We have drama and plenty of opportunity for further books to become pat of a series as to how it all works out and what about his sister and his best friend?
Nicely written in its genre but little that is unexpected once you know he is a Prince in disguise. Will appeal to the core audience for medical dramas.

I was given this to read via NetGalley and it is one of the first Mills and Boon books I have read in a while. I think my expectations going in was that this would be a nice gentle romance with a bit of drama. Unfortunately for me it didn’t quite deliver.

The story centres around Dr Dom Di Rossi and Dr Emilia Featherstone, they have known each other since college and are competitive with each other when it comes to their work. Emilia has had a tough upbringing and has made it to the top of her game through hard work and determination. Dom has worked hard too, but he is hiding a secret…he is also a prince for a small kingdom in Europe.

Following a family tragedy for Dom, he has to re-evaluate what is important to him and whether now is the time to step up and fulfil his royal obligations. In this moment Emilia finds him and sees how vulnerable he is, reaching out to him he confides in her the truth of his identity. With this there is a shift in their personal relationship and they find themselves being drawn together.

My issue with this book is mainly down to the level of detail that the author goes into when talking about incidents in the ER. For me this adds no depth or value to the story and I did find myself skimming over these passages wishing that there was more about Emilia’s troubled past, or their relationship at college, maybe some near misses with them personally in the past.

I just feel that the author could have added so much more depth to the characters and their relationship which would have made me feel invested in their happy ending, That being said, the happy ending is very short and sharp, with it not being clear on what the future holds for them so I would have liked there to have been an epilogue to just close it off.

I liked the authors style of writing and the characters she created, so would read another book by them in the hope that the medical detail will not

Dr. Dom Di Rossi and Dr. Emilia Featherstone have known each other for years, having gone through medical school together and now working at the same hospital. They have fun banter between the two of them and a fierce sense of competitiveness. However, Dom's world is turned upside down when an MVA is brought into the ER - his father and sister amongst those who are brought in. Emilia notices that Dom isn't quite on his game as usual and tells him to head off and see to the other patients.

Emilia doesn't know that they are his family or that they are in fact royalty, which would make Dom royalty too. With a different upbringing, she cannot abide lying and which this is an omission on Dom's part, she feels as though he didn't trust her with the truth and questions their friendship.

With Dom likely to be heading home to step up to the king, it means that they have limited time together. Following the Christmas ball, they spend the night together, which opens up feelings that they thought they had kept hidden from each other. Is there a way for them to be together whilst stepping up to his families duties?

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this story up until about three quarters through the book, but then felt the romance was almost forgotten. It was certainly underplayed and I felt very disappointed.

Leaving aside the cliche of the Crown Prince of some fictional Mediterranean island kingdom working undercover as a medic, the story was quite interesting. Fellow doctors Dom and Emmy were a great couple and I quite liked the slow burn development of their love, but I kept waiting for it to get going. Half way through and they haven’t even kissed!

There was so much focus on the medical details - far more than one usually finds and I kept thinking. - “let’s get back to the h/H!”

In the last quarter, I really I felt the romance side was being neglected. For the last quarter of the book the h/H seemed barely to Be in the same scene. Finally, it was all tied up in the last page and then it just ended. I turned over the page expecting and wanting an epilogue, but no - that was it. Very disappointing.

The story is set on the ER trauma department. Dr Emilia Featherstone, or Emmy as she is called by Dr Dom Rossi are paged into action when a MVA carrying 4 people are brought in. The King and princess of Isola Verde who are Dom's father and sister are amongst the injured. But nobody knows their connection except for his best friend Lucas.

Emmy and Dom have always been rivals rather than friends but there was always a connection. Opposites shouldn't attract but could she trust him after lying about who he was? He was indeed the crown prince.

I loved this story, fast paced during the hospital scenes and quite the thrilling page turner but a slow paced blossoming romance. I loved the 'will they, won't they' story line. A great book to escape to.
