So why am I reading a Christmas romance in the middle of the year? The answer is that I don't know! But what I do know is that I really enjoyed it and want to recommend it to others. Worthwhile reading!

Enjoyed this one, and the setting sounded absolutely dreamy! Did feel a bit repetitive where the characters' conflicts were mentioned (I would also have loved to see more detail about the hero's conflict), but it was cute and very Christmas-y, perfect to snuggle down with on a cold afternoon

A fun enjoyable read about love found in a Christmas cottage. Both characters are complex with issues that continue to shape decisions and relationships. I found the blogger inclusion to be interesting and bring the M&B writing devices up to date.

Jess is excited to spend Christmas with her best friend, who is a well known blogger, in a remote cottage.
When the weather takes a turn for the worse, and her friend is unable to make it due to the snow, she finds herself spending the festive season alone in the cottage. An unexpected knock on the cottage door presents a frozen stranger, and being the caring person she is she invites him in to warm up.
Once he warms up and is able to speak again, Jess quickly finds out that he is in fact the owner of the cottage, Rufus.

This story was intriguing from the beginning. I loved the setting that the story took place, and the characters were so wonderful and interesting, each adding something entirely unique to the story.

Romantic and flirty, this is a gorgeous read.

Snowbound At The Manor is a very nice read with an original plot that's very engaging. This is a book you can easily read in one sitting while curled up on the sofa,

Jess is best friends with Lara, an Instagram influencer and they are booked to spend some time before Christmas at Upton Manor, a country house in the Yorkshire moors but a freak snowstorm has come in, Lara is stuck in Geneva and Jess is at Upton Manor with its owner Rufus
Jess was a great character, she is independent but also loves to have fun (snowman building and scrabble challenges among others). Being at Upton Manor allows Jess time to think about what’s important and what she wants in life
I loved Rufus, he is strong but also has a vulnerable side which made him feel more real. He is doing what he can to save his families home and his dedication and determination really came through
Both Jess and Rufus have had troubles in their past which really impacts them in the present and seeing them develop as characters and realising what is still causing and issue and why kept me reading
I also found it fascinating to see into the world of Instagram influencers and what they have to do to get the perfect photo that you see on their feed and I’m not going to lie, some really surprised me!
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance with fabulous characters trapped in the snow learning about themselves and becoming even more loveable and real

This was a really good book,

Jess is looking for a way to escape Christmas with her parents, ever since a family tragedy rocked their lives Christmas just hasn't been the same.

But before her trip home for Christmas Jess is looking forward to a stay at a secluded manor with her Instagram influencer friend Tara, who has been booked by the owner to cover the manor stay as a way to drum up business.

Rufus is trying everything to keep the estate in the family, however he really wishes he didn't have to let out his former home to some influencer but needs must.

Sadly due to a storm Tara is stuck and can't join Jess at the Manor, just as Jess is settling in there is a knock at the door and a man falls over the door and it looks like he might have hypothermia.

Once Rufus recovers from the cold he discovers he and Jess are trapped in the Manor and if that wasn't bad enough Tara has decided if she can't get to the Manor herself then Jess and Rufus are just going to have to supply the content to her instead.

This was a really good book although I did hit a bit of a stick patch three quarters of the way through but once I powered past that chapter it picked up pace again and I left the book feeling happy with the outcome.

I would definitely read Ellie Darkins books again.

I was given a copy of this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review

It took me a little while to warm to the characters and events in this story, although I enjoyed the setting and the unexpected encounter element from the start. Rufus and Jess meet dramatically with him collapsing on her holiday home doorstep, and the chemistry begins to sizzle as she helps him thaw out. Neither is keen on involvement, so there is plenty of conflict in this story as they fight the attraction between them. The Instagram promotion angle is the least appealing element of the story for me, but I appreciate others may love this.

This is a lovely festive read with a great setting, romance and snow.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Jess is looking forward to spending christmas with her best friend and blogger in a remote cottage. But when snow sets it and her friend is unable to get there she finds herself all alone for the season. When a knock on the door brings a frozen stranger she has no choice but to let him in and help him, once defrosted she discovers that he is Rufus the owner of the cottage.

The story was really festive and sweet, and you really cared about the characters and hoped everything would turn out for them. This is a great christmas read and perfect for snuggling up with in front of a lovely fire!

I loved Snowbound at the Manor. It was the perfect blend of glamourous escape and real emotion, and allowed me to ditch real life for a while, in favour of a festive, snow bound hideaway .I loved the chemistry between Jess and Rufus and the magic and glamour of the beautiful old house. The Christmas sparkle is wonderfully offset by the raw emotion from their past, which haunts them and stands in the way of their happiness. I was rooting for them every step of the way.

Escapist fun. It’s Christmas romance that you can see on a Christmas TV movie. It’ does exactly what it says on the cover. A Mills and Boon romance that ends with kissing, romance and a Happily Ever After (something to take us away from 2020, a year I think we all want to escape from!).

A lovely cosy novel as autumn turns to winter and the countdown to Christmas begins! The first half of the book was a delightful tease and build to the romantic relationship between the main characters over the Christmas period.

Really enjoyable Christmas read. A new to me author, but one I will definitely be reading more from in the future!

This book was nothing short of festive adorableness and now I need to read some of Ellie's other books as this was a great introduction. If you love romance books, then I recommend this one. When it comes to Christmas books and movies, one of the main things I am looking for besides a good romance plot is snow. Christmas isn't Christmas for me without snow so I loved that this book is all about Jess and Rufus being snowed in together.

Jess's friend who she was meant to be staying with at the manor over Christmas ends up not being able to make it is an influencer and I really liked how that was portrayed in this book as people think it is an easy job but in reality, it's about six full-time jobs!

Snowbound at the Manor is a quick read that will get you feeling festive which we all need in 2020. It's a lighthearted read with really likeable characters with an instant connection and a little drama throughout. The only issue I had was that Jess and Rufus had some serious heat between them which was discussed and then those actual scenes weren't included.

A very easy read about a man and a woman that are stranded together at Christmas. It’s an okay story but pretty slow and predicated with probably too much social media thrown in. I don’t think I’d recommend it to a friend. 3/5

I thought that this was a wonderful story!

It was a good wholesome romance and I loved it.

It had an excellent storyline, and brilliantly developed and genuine characters that the author really brought to life.

I loved the setting too, afterall, what's a little snow outside when the 'heat' in the manor is off the scale!

It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!!
