An introduction to grids, not throw you in like you already know the placement of crystals. It is more visual which is great. Examples of grids talked about.

I do not love the format and photos with people in this book. I did really enjoy the photos of flat grids and information on crystals. It was great to learn a bit more on something I previously wasn't familiar with. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital review copy.

This is an in depth guide to crystal grids, ideally suited to someone who is already familiar with Crystal work. It is an ideal follow up companion to Judy’s other titles, including The Crystal Bible and The Encyclopaedia of Crystals. I wouldn’t recommend to Crystal novices but will recommend to those already working with Crystal energies.

Crystal Grid Handbook by Judy Hall had strengths and weaknesses.

First, I found the use of actual crystals instead of illustrations beautiful and helpful. You get to experience that each crystal is unique, and as we learn in this book, sometimes the flaws in crystals actually make them more helpful in your crystal practice. I also found the use of repeated images helpful, as it allows you to see the use of the same grid for multiple purposes.

The book breaks down the meaning and importance of the crystals and the grids. While there are so many stones that it would be impossible to fit them all into this book, I found the selection of stones lacked a great selection. There was just a fraction listed and only in short detail. With that said, this book is meant to focus on grids. So, I feel if you have moved on to grids, you probably own a crystal book or two you already love and use. I also found the selection, even though limited, was a great mix of very common crystals as well as some very unique ones that I have not seen mentioned in other books.

The book also covers something I have not seen others touch on, which I really appreciated, the shapes and structures internally and externally of crystals and how those play a factor. Again, I think this is better for someone who is a little more experience, but none the less good information to have.

The book finishes up with simple and more advanced grids. While the designs themselves are not very complicated, the set up time would be longer on the advanced grids. I love all the geometric shapes. There is a lot of information and time give to each grid, which is nice.

I would not recommend this as someone’s very first crystal book. I feel you should really get to learn about crystals and the many, many ways you can cleanse them, and all the other steps that go into that. However, I think when you have a good basic knowledge down and are ready to move on to crystal grids, this is a book to consider. I appreciated that this book really stuck to the subject matter listed in the title, but as I have mentioned countless times, I am glad I found this book further along in my research.

For a new person I would rate this book around a 2 or 2.5 as I think they would find it very confusing. For someone like me, who has more background knowledge, I would give it at least a 4.

I received an eARC from Quarto Publishing Group and Fair Winds Press through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

I enjoyed reading this book more than I thought I would. The author explains very well several types of grids (some simpler and others more complex), different types of crystals and how to use, recharge and cleanse them. It honestly is a very interesting book (especially to all the astrology lovers). I just wished it was longer. Rating: 4/5 stars.

Before receiving this book, I knew about Crystal grids but I wasn’t sure how to do them, where to start or how to get the best out of the crystals I have in. Crystal Grids Handbook has definitely helped me gain a lot more knowledge.

It’s full of grids from beginner grids, to more advanced grids and even specific ones eg career, joy and mental clarity. It even touches on what different colours crystals mean and how to use them.

The pictures are clear and the instructions are easy to understand and follow. This is definitely a book I will keep coming back to and I can’t wait to try my first grid.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review

Before reading this book, I didn't have any knowledge of crystal grids. But I recently purchased some healing crystals and wanted to know more about how to use them. This handbook is a detailed introduction on how to use crystals in specific grids, patterns, and shapes in order to get the most benefit from them. The text is super descriptive and the photographs that go along with the text are colorful and fun to look at. My only complaint is that I still feel like I wouldn't know exactly where to start when setting up grids (especially because the author offers that you need to listen to your intuition in order to know which crystals and which patterns 'speak to you.') However, if readers are just interested in getting some background info on crystals, there's still a lot of helpful information to be gleaned from the book. If readers want more information they might need to speak to a psychic or energy healer for more detailed guidance.

This book is full of really great information. Unfortunately the awful photographs really detract from the text, especially the hideous dark brown laminate surface used in many of the photos. If the photos were styled to show off the beauty of the crystals and grids it would be a 5 star book.

I received a free digital copy via NetGalley, but the opinions expressed are my own.

This is a perfect guide for someone interested in checking out crystal grids without investing too much research or money into it. The book manages to present just enough information to make the grids make sense, as well as some basic color and crystal details to allow you to dabble with different options. If you're looking for a basic handbook on the creation and use of crystal grids, this is it.

A fascinating book, this is not something I had ever heard of before. It’s really interesting that it relates to chakra’s too. I liked the way the book was set out and really easy to read and follow. Another book that I will want to re-read as it really is fascinating.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
