Dino Breaks The Rules by Sarah, This book is so sweet I just had to purchase this for my nephew who just loves Dinosaurs.........and it was magical to see his face whilst opening his box of dinosaur goodies for his birthday. All he wanted to do is have me read this sweet book to him and his friends. Perfect birthday for him.......

Why do dinosaurs need rules? Dinosaurs need rules to feel safe and secure.

* Rules prepare children for the real world.

*Teaching responsibility & values

* Learn about consequences of words, actions and choices

*Limits help kids manage rough emotions

This book was very colourful and sweet and it kept a birthday dinosaur party very entertained. All the children loved it and we ended up having so much fun with this book. It maybe little but it made 4 small children and my nephew very happy!

Another great book to get your children talking. Dino doesn’t follow any rules or pay any attention but then realises he is hurting those around.

I really loved this book. The illustrations were great and very vibrant, and the storyline teaches kids how breaking the rules is probably not the best idea.

Dino is at it again. He has to learn a few things about how his actions can have an affect on others around him.

Although this is geared for younger children, I do read it to/with my fourth grade students, especially now that they have been remote and may have "lost" some social skills being home for so long.
I recommend this book to anyone with younger children. I give this book five stars, I was given the opportunity to read this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

An excellent read for stubborn stormy kids who are not keen to abide to the rules. (Which kid want it, anyway?) Although I´ve found the illustrations unpleasant, with a touch of horror, I´ve found the messages well tailored and easy to understood by the assumed audience - 3,5-5 yo. Dino´s (mis)adventures are a good lesson to anyone trying to push way too far the limits of what is allowed - and what not.
Recommended bibliography to any parent or educator trying to explain over and over again why rules are useful (at least sometimes).

Little Dino needed a lesson on how to behave, but most of all, how to listen. Rules were a bother to him they obstructed him from having fun, he thought, so of course, he ignored the rules and did whatever he wanted. His little accident was an eye-opener about the rules and why they must be followed. A lovely book for young readers teaching them about following the rules as they have fun reading.

This book is geared towards 3-5 year olds. This is a story about rules and how they are needed to feel safe and secure. The art is adorable. There are several different examples of actions and how they led to consequences. It is meant for younger kids and the stories are all really short which will help them remember the actions and directly connect them to consequences. It could be a really good conversation starter between parents and little ones.

A great book about a Dinosaur who broke the rules and what happens if you don't follow them. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book.

This is a totally cool book about a dinosaur called Dino who is very impulsive, busy not paying attention and is about to learn about the consequences and rules.

That there are rules for a reason and we follow them to stay safe and secure, I love the way this was put out there for the kids, it's okay to keep repeating yourself but when it comes to kids it's great when someone else says it, it's like your words are backed up so they must be gospel!

This book is aimed at 3-5 year olds and is a great way to explain to them all the things that are designed to keep them safe without lecturing them, putting in a book about a cute dinosaur with great flow, good writing and lovely illustrations really helped my two and created a lot of chatter.

With thanks to netgalley and publishers for this delightful book in an exchange for an honest review, Sarah Read is becoming a fast favourite for both me and the kids and I'm keeping my eyes peeled for more of her work, 10 out of 1o from me. 5 stars all the way

I loved this little story and how it teaches children lessons on behavior and how to act after not behaving. I am drawn how the pictures show little dino acting up in the supermarket and how the sister was well behaved. I believe this is a great story lesson for how to behave in the different areas of life and great to educated on right and wrongs. Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a good children's book about a little dinosaur who finds it hard to pay attention and he is impulsive, so he does things which break rules, without meaning to. He then has to learn how to be more calm and how to concentrate and think about people's feelings, so that he can stop breaking rules. The pictures in the book are very bright and colourful and the dinosaur is cute, so my daughter enjoyed this book.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The perfect aged book for my oldest, this book engaged his attention right away. The colours are vibrant, with each character having their own distinctive colour set, and the dinosaur character attracted his attention right away. The main character is fun to look at and there was enough to make my son interested in what he was doing (the build up to going out, etc.) that by the time it came to the lesson to abide by the rules he really cared about the character and what was happening with him. It allowed for a chat about how we felt about Dino breaking the rules and how what do impacts on others.
A lovely book which he wanted to read again and again.

the ARC copy i downloaded in the Netgalley app of my ipad is missing an a few inches of margin on the right side. Every line is cut off, and unreadable. It's too bad, because the drawings were very cute.

Dino wasn't a bad dino, he just didn't always think before his actions. The illustrations were fun and a lot of kids could relate to dino. When you are having fun, it is hard to stop and think if it breaking any rules. The ending leaves a nice opening for adults to talk to the kids about following the rules, peer pressure, thinking about their actions, etc. The coloring pages are nice for anyone who owns the book. I will be adding this book to my library's collection.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the DRC.

The dinosaur is cute and the depicted situations relatable. Beyond that, this book left much to be desired. Even for a children's book, the plot seemed a little underdeveloped. Dino suddenly realizes that rules exist for a reason, but that's about it. There isn't a valuable discussion depicted or internal dialogue to explain further. This seems like a book a parent would read to their child once, and only once.

Good book for kids shows the dino breaking rules in various situations - shopping, school, etc. He suffers some consequences and learns his lesson in the end. I thought it could be a little more direct in how breaking the rules was bad, and it ends abruptly without him seeing the positive results of following the last rule mentioned.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
