I have read and loved books by Nora Roberts/J.D.Robb for years, but this is my favourite genre. You know all of this authors books will be well researched, well written and descriptive. This one doesn’t disappoint. This is the first of a new trilogy and introduces us to Breen, a young woman who is in a job she hates, is continually a disappointment to her over bearing mother but has some great friends, This is the story of self discovery for Breen,

I enjoyed the first part of the book, which is where we get to know Breen and her life, although I preferred it from when she arrives in Ireland with her best friend Marco. Pure escapism, but I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
I found it slow at first but soon settled into the story and once it took hold I loved it. So well written, lovely interesting characters. Now to wait for the next instalment.

I love Nora Roberts books. For me she is the master of writing mystical , magical fantasy that entwines the contemporary with myth and legend . This is the first book in a trilogy and she hasn't disappointed. It's just whet my appetite for the next Instalment. I was completely immersed in the storyline and didn't want to put it down once I'd started it.
We follow the main protagonist , Breen on a voyage of self discovery , when she decides to visit Ireland , the country of her Father's birth. With a range of colourful characters and a beautiful Irish water dog puppy( that made me laugh every time I heard his name. )
The descriptive writing encapsulates the beauty of the places visited on Breens journey. You're never sure where Nora is taking you with the storyline but it's like following Dorothy along the yellow brick road and finding a magical place at the end of it.
This book had it all , it's humorous and heartwarming, with all the right elements of the mystical and romance thrown In , with a handsome and sexy hero it's definitely reminiscent of her earlier works, the circle trilogy was one of my favourites and I think this series will be as addictive. . I thoroughly recommend it .

It has been a while since I read a Nora Roberts paranormal book and was looking forward to reading this. It was not what I was expecting but I enjoyed this fey/witch based fantasy with its dual world plot. It is a novel of two halves with Breen's life in the real world and America and her trip to Ireland and the fey realm. I enjoyed her real life more because the fey world is description heavy in places but an ideal book to escape into and looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Nora Roberts writes like no-one else, Her author voice is distinctive - warm, easy and full of magic - exactly as I’d describe The Awakening.

This book is part fantasy, part romance and I enjoyed following Breen on her journey of self-discovery as she discovers a magical world she never knew existed in her quest to find out what happened to her father. The characters - especially Marco, Keegan and Marg - are as usual very well drawn, as were the various settings, and I really enjoyed the sense of adventure and fate running through this novel. The only thing I’d say is that at times it felt like it took a while for things to happen, and there were some parts of the book that could’ve been cut. Despite that, I finished this story with a definite sense of disappointed that I have to wait to read the next in the series...

With thanks to the publishers, the author and Netgalley for the ARC. This is my honest review.

One of my favourite authors. I found this one slow to start and reminiscent of previous books. But the tale still grips and enchants. Good versus evil. The first book in a trilogy and I am looking forward to the next two. World's of magic alongside the world we know as mortals. Enjoy the story and suspend reality because there is more than we know on this earth and above.

This is the first book of a new trilogy and I loved it! As usual Nora Roberts did not disappoint in this new book and managed to create an amazing introduction of this magical and mystical world.

The entire books introduce the reader to new characters and their worlds and it’s the perfect introduction to the real fight that it’s brewing. This book definitely made me wish I could just book a plane ticket to Ireland right know (unfortunately, still not possible or safe).

The magical scenery that the author brings the readers is amazing and the cliffhanger in the end makes me wish the next book would come quickly!

I can’t wait for the next books, so I can see the adventures of the amazing new characters that Nora Roberts managed to create.
