This was not your typical. Christmas story - but it was fun and the main characters worked well together.

Despite the very Christmassy cover and title it’s not actually the most festive book until you get nearer the finish and we’re celebrating Christmas with Everly and her family, the majority of the book is set on her cruise in the Amazon rainforest!

I think had I not realised this before reading I may have been a little disappointed but as I’d already been told it wasn’t a full on festive affair I went in with an open mind and was able to really enjoy the story.

The story itself was really well written and I found myself racing through this in just a couple of sittings, it is a slightly shorter book at 256 pages but it’s also one that hooks you in and you just want to keep on reading.

It’s safe to say that Everly’s trip doesn’t go quite how she expected but it’s a life changing one for all the best reasons. There were scenes in this that made me chuckle and then others that warm your heart, seeing Everly and Asher develop feelings for each other was lovely and I really wanted to slap one of them near the end! It was so warming to see Everly back in her family home though and I think it was the perfect way to finish this book as it left you with a fuzzy feeling and a smile on your face!

Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber

Every is an over worked workaholic who is convinced to take all of December off and go on a relaxing cruise but there is a mix up and she ends up on an adventure cruise to the Amazon. Every embraces this and ends looking at life slightly differently.

A cute and cozy read.

I loved this story, Christmas escapism and romance at it's best! This is one I'll repeat read next and the year after......

I you're looking for a very festive book by this author then I wouldn't go for this one, apart from the cover and the title only about the last quarter of this book is set at Christmas, the rest is set around the festive period however this story is about Daisy (who goes by the name Everly) who's disgruntled assistant books her on a month long cruise when it's suggested Daisy is over worked and takes the whole of December off however said assistant books Daisy onto a adventure cruise instead of the relaxing and luxury break she is excepting around Brazil, Daisy is very out of her comfort zone but decides to give it a go while getting very close to onboard naturalist Asher and since this is a romance I am sure you can guess what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book, I went into it with no expectations and got sucked into the story, I loved learning about the rain forest with Daisy and seeing all the things she did on her trip, when she got back home I didn't enjoy it quite as much and would have happily read the whole book set on the cruise. This was my first taste of this author and I will be picking up more from her in the future.

A story that could have done with a lot more words - as things stand, everything is way too far-fetched to make sense, let alone make for a compelling story. Sadly, this one fell flat for me

Thanks to the Publishers via NetGalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

Telling the story of Everly/Daisy Lancaster (I was a little confused at first with the same person having two names), the reason for her having two names is explained and Asher Adams. Everly is in need of a vacation and one of her work colleagues books one for her, it's not quite the cruise that she was anticipating. However, she is stuck on this boat and can't get off until she reaches her destination. Is her destination solid ground again or is it Asher Adams the naturalist that she meets on the cruise down the Amazon? As her life is being turned upside down and her focus on work that she is so used to having is slowly changing to affairs of the heart, will her life ever be the same again?

This was a gentle romance (yes it may be a tad predictable in some ways) that is perfect escapism for reading at any time of the year. It was an enjoyable average read that kept me reading and engaged in the lives of the characters for several hours.

This was such a cute and cosy read. I loved the relationship between Everly and her family and enjoyed it as a story of her growth. I found that the story follows a very similar plot to so many Christmas novels and films therefore making it predictable. But this book does not pretend to be something it is not from a genre standpoint. Yes, it is predictable but it’s predictable in the way that all feel-good romance stories are. I was a little sad that Christmas theme didn’t come into play until the second half, the cover and title seem a bit misleading. But, overall this was a sweet and easy read that left you feeling good.

I really enjoyed this cosy, romantic book, which is about a woman called Everly (also known as Daisy) who goes on a holiday to have a break from her workaholic life. On her holiday, in which she goes on a cruise down the Amazon River, she meets a lovely man called Asher and they share a strong connection. The book was easy to read and it left me feeling happy.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

LOVED this book. This was the the kind of book that if it were a movie it would be the one you chose to snuggle down to with a blanket on a snowy day or choose to watch whilst wrapping your christmas presents. Debbie has such a warm and relatable style of writing. It is just lovely,
Highly recommend this book, It is a nice easy read and just lovely, Honestly not a thing I did not enjoy about it. Hugely grateful to all concerned for allowing me access to this. I absolutely loved it

Perfect festive fun and romance from a cherished author. You can never go wrong with a Debbie Macomber book, especially at the holidays.

This was a really sweet story that had you involved in the story and learning about the Amazon at the same time. I liked the romance development though felt it happened a bit quick perhaps. My one 'gripe' would be it wasn't overly christmassy despite the title and cover art.

An interesting take on a Christmas book - a vengeful assistant sends her boss on a cruise for Christmas but to the Amazon.

The book itself flows nicely, the story line is a little different but welcoming and there are heartwarming scenes too. A little bit predictable for a woman to meet a man on her vacay away but still, the good writing and nicely crafted characters make it worthwhile.

A pleasant and entertaining read for a contemporary / romantic fiction. The real scenes of romance and indeed Christmas start to pick up towards the end of the book, which was a tad disappointing for me, but hey ho, only a minor issue for me.

Although the cover is a bit misleading as it's allowing the reader to interpret a snowy and Christmassy setting, something which lacks within the books, I'm willing to over look that as the book was pretty good without that and this just makes the book more likely to be read all year round, though might not be a real selling point with the snow scene cover.

That said, I did enjoy this book and it was a good read, so I will be recommending it.

I finished this book in just one sitting, as it is a lovely, quick read and quite frankly, Debbie just had me completely fascinated and engulfed within the story-line!

Classic Debbie Macomber - boy meets girl, problems on the way but everything turns out well in the end. This formula is great for a feel good factor read and never disappoints

This book was a very twee romance. One thing though...I'm still not sure how the title applies to the actual book at all? Apart from to make it about Christmas...the title doesn't seem to fit with the book at all.

I enjoyed the romance aspect of the book and it was very light and easy reading. I know what I am getting with this kind of book and that's fine...

There were a few things I wasn't sure about though...how Everly was suddenly really close to her family, even tho she was originally ignoring their calls and not going home ever. How is it possible to suddenly become close after that behaviour?

The whole storyline with Annette made no sense. Just no. That wouldn't happen in any successful company.

I was excited to learn more about the holiday...but unfortunately it just went into cliches and unrealistic situations which I was disappointed with. .would have been a great way to learn more about that kind of holiday and instead it never felt real at all.

There are a few more things I could say mainly about equality and being successful not being a bad thing, nor is being content in your own life but I don't want to say too much because of spoilers.

Overall it was a nice easy read, but quite a few problems with aspects of the story.

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a huge fan of Debbie Macomber so I was thrilled to receive an ARC of Jingle All The Way from NetGalley my review is honest and unbiased in any way.
Jingle All The Way while not as christmassy as her other books I’ve read (and re-read every Christmas), it still ticked all the boxes, a lovely feel good story that leaves you basking in a happy glow long after you’ve finished reading the last page I also loved the message of the book that just as in life it is often the unexpected road or journey we didn’t mean to take that ends up making all the difference.
