Masinissa: Ally of Rome - Another viewpoint on history. Quite an interesting look at the time period. Very in depth. The main characters are very developed but the secondary characters are rather flat.

Masinissa, the Numidian ally of Carthage is turfed out of his princedom and looses his love Sophonisba. He becomes Masinissa, Ally of Rome. He takes back is kingdom and Sophonisba becomes his wife. But all is not well. He triumphs as the Roman ally but looses the love of his life in the end. Good historical novel

The second book is a gem going from the first one.
I still enjoy knowing more about the story of MAsinissa and important aspects of his life.
The politics and war everything is very well executed.
I would check more books of Rob Edmunds.
Thank you for allow me to read such amazing books within this series.

As with the first book ("Masinissa: Ally of Carthage"), I struggled with this one. "Masinissa: Ally of Rome" is a good follow-up, but I was disappointed. I hoped I would enjoy this one more, but, sadly, I didn't. I don't think this is a bad series, it's just not for me. I like Rob Edmunds's writing, so I'd be interested to read more of his work in the future.

My thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley. This review was written voluntarily and is entirely my own, unbiased, opinion.
