Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

Good book for people who want to eat more nutritious food, not just for people who follows a plant based diet. Very happy with the recipes!

I'm always looking for new recipes to vary my vegan diet. I love that Petitto bases the recipes around each season, making it easy to cook with what's at its peak.

Thanks to Quarto Publishing Group – Chartwell Books, Chartwell Books and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This cookbook had some really great recipes. The recipes were easy to understand and not too complicated for the average cook. I enjoyed the illustrations and look forward to making these recipes for years to come.

On a journey to bring new recipes into my vegetarian lifestyle, I was excited to pick up "The Plant-Based Cookbook."

Stylishly sorted into seasons and with beautiful accompanying photos, the cookbook is inviting but not quite as beginner-friendly as I had hoped.

Offering a wide variety of dishes and many desserts, those looking for a way to bring elegance into their home kitchen will appreciate the restaurant-level recipes while more down-to-earth cooks may find them too frivolous.

I rated "The Plant-Based Cookbook" 4 out of 5.

I really liked this cookbook. Divided into seasons made it a bit more appealing and it contained several recipes I'd love to try, especially from the autumn section such as baked apple cider doughnuts and peanut butter caramel apples.

Loved this cookbook and happy to add it to my collection! This is a tasty, accessible, and *normal* cookbook. Too often plan based cookbooks just feel inaccessible and not easy, they tend to aim at an audience that is prepared to be meat free already but this book made no assumptions, felt normal, and was easy to include meatless meals in our house more often.

The recipes looked really yummy and I love how it is sorted by season to highlight in season produce items. My biggest caveat was that some of the ingredient lists were so long that I automatically dismissed them since they would take much too long to attempt to make with a family to take care of. The pictures are gorgeous and the recipes unique though, so I'm sure that many with more time than myself would love to most of these out.

The Plant- Based Cookbook by Melissa Petitto, R.D., was a lavish plant based cookbook. First thing I noticed is how it is divided by season. I always find this to be great for making dishes with the most flavour.

I loved the large spread of flavours and different ingredients included in this book. When you have experimenting in the kitchen, it is always fun to find new foods and ingredients that you love. I appreciate that each recipe came with statements such as grain free, soy free, etc to make it easier to find recipes that will suit even more unique and specific diets.

I found I enjoyed and gravitated more towards the sweet treats in this book.

While I enjoyed the variety of ingredients, for someone new to a specific diet or in the kitchen, it can seem very overwhelming. For that, I would say this would be better for someone a little more advanced.

I received an eARC from Quarto Publishing and Chartwell Books through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

The photos in the book are amazing and colorful. There were so many recipes, some that I didn't even realize that could be made into plant-based. The recipes weren't terribly hard to follow but did have some unique ingredients. I wish they would have listed some alternatives so I could have tried more recipes.

Really gorgeous book with such amazing and colorful and vibrant photos that just make you wonder, 'Wow! That's plant-based?' The recipes themselves weren't hard to grasp and follow, though a few required ingredients that may not be easily available everywhere. Seems it would be possible to adapt this to regular life easily and make more plant-based food a staple

Amazing recipes, with a focus on ingredients which are easy to find. As a fairly new vegetarian, I am always on the hunt for new recipes and ideas and this book definitely delivers.

I've been a vegetarian for nearly 20 years now and love finding new recipe ideas! I have been trying to eat more vegan so this book was perfect. I loved the focus on the ingredients and how it was split by season so it is easier to access or swap ingredients. The measures were also really clear. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to eat more vegan meals.

I'm a 95% vegetarian, in that I was fully veggie for 9 years, was never a big meat eater before that, and have never been since, but I do eat the occasional bit of meat or fish now. When it comes to cooking though, I am in the habit of cooking vegetarian meals or even vegan, as I prefer it, find it healthier and I feel a lot of guilt around meat!
So I'm always looking for new ideas, especially as my partner is not veggie but he likes eating plant-based meals.
This recipe book was an excellent addition to my shelf, and there is a conscious attitude to the choices made - being more ecological, healthy and mindful about what we eat can only be a good thing.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me access an advance digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Easy to read and follow recipes is the best a person who loves cooking could ask for! The book has recipes according to season accompanied by beautiful pictures and fun facts! Whats not to love

I basically wanted to try so many of these recipes as soon as I saw the book.  Thank you Netgalley and publishers for my copy

My wife and I are leaning toward more vegetarian meals and this book had so many amazing recipes, I decided to order a print copy after reading a digital ARC.

I'm the worlds worst cook and even I managed to find things I could prepare in this little gem.

Easily split into seasons so that you can cook with what's readily available. And as the only Veggie in the family it's always awkward cooking for one person. So I even found things I could batch cook for lunches and dinners!

100 Delicious Recipes for a Healthy Life

Filled with beautiful photographs, easy to read and follow recipes and tasty intriguing recipes this book appealed to me. I have mixed feelings because as much as I might want to try some of the recipes…almost every one of them would require substitutions for ingredients I cannot find or are too expensive for me to purchase here in Lebanon.

What I liked:
* The division of the book into seasons
* The list of fruits and vegetables in season
* The division of recipes into Savory first followed by Sweet
* Metric and imperial measurements for recipes
* Specifics about the recipe that would allow for allergies, diet preferences, etc
* The introduction at the beginning of each recipe telling a bit about it.
* Food fact boxes
* The beautiful photos
* That I could practically taste the recipes via photo and ingredients
* The variety of recipes

What I didn’t like:
* That many ingredients are not easily found where I live

Did I enjoy reading this book? Yes
Would I buy this book? Probably not since I can’t find ingredients easily
Would I buy this book as a gift? Only if the person lived where they could find the ingredients

Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group-Chartwell Books for the ARC – This is my honest review.
