This was another great instalment in the sweet pea series.

As with the other two books I loved the writing and Rhiannon as always.

This book is definitely not for the faint hearted or the easily offended. There was some hilarious parts of this book, which had me chuckling away

However, this book was quite different from the other two in the series.

I can't say too much as I don't want to give any spoilers, but Rhiannon isn't quite the same as she is in the first two books because of what's happened to her. It's great to see the character development but I miss the old Rhiannon.

I also think this book was too long. I wouldn't say it dragged or I was bored because the plot was constantly moving along and was fast paced. But it definitely felt long.

However, I still really enjoyed this book. There was a link to one of C.J Skuse's books which I completely missed before and thought was really clever.

Also, the ending. That ending. No spoilers but I don't think we've seen the end of Rhiannon yet.

Overall, even though it wasn't my favourite book in the series I still loved it

TW: violence, rape, murder, gore, pedophilia and death

I’m a big fan of the Sweetpea series so I was thrilled to receive an ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

Book three picks up where we left off. Rhiannon has escaped the UK. The book takes you through how she managed it and what life on the run has been like for her.

Rhiannon is the same vile, bizarre, weirdly likable character as ever with her trademark humor and lack of concern for murdering people. Still talking about murder like it is a daily routine such as brushing her teeth.

This book is spectacular and you do see some really significant changes in her outlook and her ambition for the future. I loved it.

Another roller coaster ride featuring your favourite girl next door serial killer Rhiannon Lewis.
I'm not saying I liked Rhiannon in this book, but I definitely preferred her to the last book, she faced everything straight on,and seemed to have grown as a person.. a bit.
Still good to have the hit list at the start of the chapter, and a little concerning how many times I agreed with them.
It's definitely a fun ride.

Has Rhiannon Lost Her Mojo....?
The third in the Sweetpea series and has Rhiannon lost her mojo? Well, not exactly but she does appear to be turning over a new leaf. So, what’s next...? Enjoyable reading as usual although missing much of the fun and games of the first two books in this series.

I was really looking forward to reading this as I absolutely loved the first two books in the series. I love the way they're written - Rhiannon's observations always make me laugh and worryingly I find her to be such a relatable character!

I really enjoyed seeing Rhiannon make some genuine connections in this book - I absolutely loved Caro from the cruise ship and I also liked her dynamic with Tenoch.

The only thing I would say is that I missed the murders!! I understand that this book was to show that Rhiannon has moved on and developed but I loved all the gory details from the first two books. There was still a little of it to be found in this one but I did want a bit more.

I thought this was a really good third chapter to the series. The ending left room for a fourth book but I would also be content if it finished there.

We're back with the third instalment of serial killer Rhiannon's exploits. I vaguely remember the events of the first two books but remember them enough to know where we'd left off with Rhiannon giving birth and then going on the run. We pick up virtually where the events of the second book left off with Rhiannon making her way off on a cruise.

I both loved this book and did not love it; I love that we're back with Rhiannon because I found her to just be entirely nuts and enjoyable. I also loved that the lists were back, honestly they're one of my favourite parts of these books because I find them hilarious but also slightly relatable... we all have those pet peeves in people that drive us a bit nuts, fortunately most of us wouldn't go around killing everyone on those lists.

I liked aspects of this book when we saw Rhiannon as Rhiannon; I read this series because I love how nuts and relentless she is, I didn't really want to read about her falling in love and becoming part of a family who had no idea who she was. The book felt like it was two personalities, which to be fair, is a good representation of who Rhiannon is. She's trying not to kill but there is always part of her that wants it.

The book's open ending definitely sets you up for their being a book 4, but I am wondering a bit just how long this series can go on without Rhiannon being caught. An enjoyable instalment but perhaps not my favourite.

Another great novel with everyone's favourite serial killer Rhiannon!

Our girl has escaped the UK and is now on a cruise trying to figure out her next steps. What follows is a very tense but also hilarious insight once again in Rhiannon's brain as she sets onwards on her new life.

Would recommend this!

An absolutely brilliant book in a series. I was so excited about this and it really didn't let me down. Dark, hilariously funny. Brilliant. Highly recommended.

Well!....I finished this last night and my heart was in my bloody mouth for the last 20% of this, I feel like I went through every emotion and I just adored every moment of it.

I read this over two days in pretty much two sittings, it was so good to have Rhiannon back and doing what she does best, I loved how the story progressed and when I started it I just had no idea where it would end up. From the opening scenes which had her familiar dark humour and observations back again, to the Cruise she is on and the people she meets there (the commentary in her head provides many gems) and her unlikely friendship she strikes up while on board (which not only delivered more dark humour but also some really tender and heartfelt moments between the two of them which I loved!) and then the last section of the book where she is in Mexico and so many things go down!.

This, the same as previous books, never has a dull moment, has a constant narrative which I just bloody love so much and could read and enjoy if was 1000 pages long, id still want more ha. Rhiannon is just such a brilliant character who you will relate to (on some levels not actually going off and doing the killing but thinking about it) she is funny, she has heart and she is just so entertaining and gripping to read about and follow. I just adore this authors writing and also...loved the references to The Alibi Girl, such a cool inception type moment which the book geek in me loved. This book had everything that the two before it did; lots of dark humour that we love and enjoy, gory killings, some C bombs dropped here and there for good measure and just a nice sprinkling of emotional moments thrown in to balance things out.

An absolute easy 5 ⭐️ read for me!
And so excited that I have been included in the thank yous, genuinely means a lot, so thank you!

Synopsis:
Since confessing to her bloody murder spree Rhiannon Lewis, the now-notorious Sweetpea killer, has been feeling out-of-sorts.
Having fled the UK on a cruise ship to start her new life, Rhiannon should be feeling happy. But it’s hard to turn over a new leaf when she’s stuck in an oversized floating tin can with the Gammonati and screaming kids. Especially when they remind her of Ivy – the baby she gave up for a life carrying on killing.
Rhiannon is all at sea. She’s lost her taste for blood but is it really gone for good? Maybe Rhiannon is realising that there’s more to life than death…

Review:
So.. I am a HUGE advocate for the Sweetpea series and when I say huge, I really do mean huge! I read the first two books of the series one after another and completely and utterly fell in love with it (if that's the right word for this type of series haha?!)
First of all, I am SO glad the kill lists have remained throughout this book. There was one point where I was worried that they were gone for good and I was genuinely so upset about the idea of them going as they really are one my favourite aspects of the series (and in some way relatable).
I have to admit, this book started off slightly slower than the first two and I was unsure where it was going to go but, it soon picked up and gave me the dose of dark, twisted humour that this series has given me from the start!
In this book, it was nice to see a completely different side to Rhiannon. I liked seeing her not being able to repress her emotions, especially when it came to Ivy and how she began to feel towards Rafael too.
I cannot wait for book 4 (as come on, after that cliffhanger there HAS to be a book4?! *hint hint*) to see how what Rhiannon will get up to next!

Another massive well done to CJ Skuse for another amazing novel in the Sweetpea series. If you haven't read this series yet then it's a definite must read.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, HQ publishers and CJ Skuse for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you Netgalley, HQ publishers and CJ Skuse for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have been a massive fan of CJ Skuse since reading The Alibi Girl earlier this year, and actually stumbled upon the Sweetpea series but I'm SO glad I did. They've been one of my favourite reads this year! I've championed this series since reading the first book and DEAD HEAD (book 3) is no exception!

Dead Head is basically about whether Rhiannon can loose her taste for murder... or whether she's destined to be a serial killer all her life? Throughout book 1 and 2, we see Rhiannon, who is absolutely girl-next-door type, commit multiple murders which are told to us through diary format. I loved that the diary format continued in Dead Head; I don't think I could ever get bored of The Kill Lists (which in a way are totally relatable!) and I love how the book reads so casually, that you literally feel like you are friends with Rhiannon.

I thought it started off slower than the other two books and I honestly had no idea where it was going, which made a change as Sweetpea and In Bloom are very self-explanatory. Dead Head is full of the same dark humour as the previous books, along with filth, crudeness and sarcasm which is one of the reasons I adore this series!

I feel like Rhiannon's character development is perfect - you go through all the motions with her, all the thoughts, all the doubts, all the self loathing/loving. I really liked how she grew as a person, all while trying to reattach and then detach herself from her 'old ways'.

For me, I really wanted to know more about Ivy and Claudia; I missed Ivy talking to her Mum! But I'm hoping a book 4 could delve into that!?

The only reason it's a 4 star and not a 5 is becasuse I'm comparing to book 1 and 2 and I don't feel you always get that same high with sequels.

If you like another take on a thriller then definitely give this series a go! It'll have you belly laughing if your humour is as bad as mine!
