Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

An incredible book full of mystical wisdom! This book felt like a delight to read that reminded me of the magic in the mundane. Plus, I learned so much about plants and the cycles of life. Highly recommend to any spiritual, creative, earth lovers out there.

A beautiful book which really inspired me on multiple levels. Others may find the vast array of content somewhat unconnected, but for me each topic was highly relevant to my own interests and I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you!

DNF - not what I was expecting at all... I don't even know what else to say about this book. What is it, exactly? I'm confused.

Not bad, but not what I was expecting either. This text doesn't fit neatly into a single category, which will make it challenging for some readers (whose expectations, whatever they are, are likely to be challenged). Part advice, part lifestyle manual, part cookbook, part magic primer.

A book that should make you appreciate the nature around you. It was a bit more of a nature book then a spiritual book that I think I expected, but still.an interesting read.
Thank you netgalley

I really did not enjoy this book.
The premise - 'cultivating the sacred in your daily life' - sounded right up my street and I loved this premise. However the execution was all over the place.
I'm still not overly sure what the book was or what it was trying to achieve. I found the language to be incredibly baffling and random, and I wasn't sure what or where these 'practises' were.
At times this book was fiction and was weaving a story, and at others it was non-fiction and explaining things that I don't think had any relevance or interest to me.

Really disappointed wit this - not at all what I expected, and feel pretty let down. DOESN'T do what it says 'on-the'tin'

Where Wonder Lives is book filled more with fact and background information than the immersive imaginative journey I had hoped for. It would have worked better for me personally if it had been more focussed on the visualisation and imagination rather then all the facts, figures, history and whimsical background information. Overall though I think it is a good book and some people will really appreciate. information such as the organs and theory of how exactly a bird sings etc. It wasn't really what I expected and I think the blurb concentrated mainly on the bits I would have liked and that's why I was attracted to it. I can see the author has put a lot of work and research into it and I hope it reaches the right people. Thank You
