Anna-Lou Weatherly has done it again! She certainly has a knack of engaging the reader, and this book is no exception. From page one I was a slave to the words on the pages. The book was gripping and thrilling with a shocking twist that I didn't see coming. I love the way the author reveals tidbits of information that are required to complete a very twisty puzzle. I found it hard to put down but apparently sleep is important and I succumbed to it, so I read it in two sittings instead of one. If you are a fan of thrillers, this one is for you. Due to be published on the 13th of January 2021, it gives you a chance to read the other Dan Riley novels in the series, however The Woman Inside can be read on its own.

I don’t even know where to start with this. I started off the book thinking this was one thing and it was something completely different.

- The plot: oh my god, this was one of the most intricate, well thought out plot lines that depicted mental health so well. I really felt for these characters and the ending left me breathless.
- The pacing: was fantastic. I really was caught up with everything happening I didn’t realise how far into the book I was getting and I couldn’t put it down!
- The characters: were interesting and complex and I could feel for Daisey, empathise with the flashback scenes and I really liked getting Det. Riley’s POV.

This is honestly a very well written, fast paced thriller that will leave you gasping for breath and rethinking everything. I very much enjoyed this!

Daisy is supposed to be 3rd victim of this new serial killer who puts a rose on the body after killing women. But somehow she survived but can't remember that day. Detective Riley is on this case but couldn't find anything, the only option is that somehow Daisy will remember everything.

It took me almost 150 pages to enjoy the story, starting wasn't ideal. I was thinking to DNF it then thought to skim read it, which worked for me. I skipped all of the police department scenes, they were just boring and I don't think, It made any difference. I enjoyed the concept of the story, twists and turns were so good. Character development was also good and the psychological aspect was written smartly. The ending was justifiable.
It was a pretty enjoyable book and I finished it in one sitting.

What a phenomenal book. Mental health touched upon in this book so well written.
Loved all the characters and how the story evolved. Can't wait to read more from this detective storyline.

Setting of the story is really good.
Characters are lovable. And narration is smooth.

An intense psychological thriller about a woman with a fractured memory. I was spellbound by this book and read it in a couple of hours. Highly recommend for rich characters and an engrossing plot.
