The Sheikh's Unexpected Son
Leslie North
The story is about Raed and Lisa they have a fling he hasn’t told her his real name . A number of years later he is back where they met and sees his son but at the time is proprieties are elsewhere. An ok and quick read . 3.5/5

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the third in a series, but it reads well as a stand alone. This is Raed and Lise's story. It is super cute. 3.5 stars

Oh boy, where do I start ? This book was a bit of a mess for me. We have our prince, who apparently likes to have dalliances where he doesn't even give his actual name to the women he's with. He spends the majority of the book talking and considering a business/personal relationship with one woman, while another basically shows up with his son in tow. At no point does he disclose the fact that the other relationship is in play. At no point does he make any moves to formally recognize his son -weird, since you know, the kid is freaking royalty. The thing that got me the most, is that the author spent the majority of the book having him afraid of palace gossip and the secret that the baby was his getting out. She had him acknowledging that he found her lacking and could not be with her. However, he still had this little boy calling the prince "dad" and she still had the heroine falling into this bed. She has him showing interest in his son, but at the same time, acting like he's an afterthought . Not the mention the endless babble about his freaking foundation and the work she was doing. That was incredibly boring and it seemed like it was there as filler and for word count. I don't know, this book just didn't work for me.

Third and last of this series. This was the best of the three. There is a good story line along with, drama, angst, romance and steam. Add this one to your TBR list.

This is Raed and Lise’s story. Lise met Raed a few years ago. They had a fling. He left suddenly. He didn’t even tell her his real name. She had his son. They meet and he sees his son. He is focused on starting a foundation. She wishes he would focus on her and their son. She gets a promotion and returns to London. He lets her go. He realizes that he wants her and their son. I love this series.

Raed is so worried about proprieties that he came close to losing Lise and his son. Nobody wants to be a secret. It took a while but he finally gets his priorities right.

Leslie North consistently brings great characters and passionate romance to life. As a big fan of North's, her name provokes an automatic one-click from me. I am always entertained. Highly recommend.
