Another light and sweet rom-com, which I've come to expect from Freeman. I enjoyed the plot of this will they/won't they rom-com. I adored Luke's character and found him charming and easily likeable. While I wanted to feel the same about Mia, I struggled. I found her character trying a little too hard which made it difficult for me to fall totally head over heels for this read. Still very charming though.

Mr Right across the street by Kathryn Freeman

A reasonably well written romcom . A strong main female character Mia is a home working computer nerd who’s new in town and her only light relief is the hotty across the road who works out at 10 o’clock in the morning . Suddenly a few weeks of nights nursing her Horlick she finds a note stuck to her window. Mr Hotty knows about her front row sheet and wants to communicate and so the notes begin.

Great book full of humour and a little tear or two and great characters in the neighbours . Covers some of modern life issues as Mia just want acceptance in her life and yo be loved. Great story.

I really loved this 'by chance' romance. I could identify with Mia's need to escape and put romance behind her. I could also appreciate the lengths Kathryn Freeman went to to create two believable, somewhat complex characters. This read is also packed with humour and flirtation which makes it a fun and addictive read. I will definitely be reading more by this author in the near future.

I have received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is one of those fluffy romances that’s fun to read and makes you laugh. Yeah, some of the scenarios are just too far-fetched for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a classic nerd girl meets hot bad boy. It is also the fourth book in the series. This was the first book I read out of the series, and I understood the plot very well.
Sometimes I like books like this. It was fun, and easy to read. There were times where things just became stagnated and the drama just became too much but I pushed through to the end. Everyone know that love isn’t smooth and easy. that’s what I believe the author was trying to get at with this.
Mia Abbott moves to Manchester to get away from her ex. But what she doesn’t expect is to be distracted every day at 10 a.m. by her hot guy neighbor when she’s supposed to be working. Luke is the hot neighbor who is a bar owner who’s a lady’s man.
These two would seem like they are both perfect for each other and a nightmare to be around. I love the fun banter they have and the moments when they rely on each other. It makes you wonder if these two could get along and be in a relationship but know there isn’t anyone better for each other. I found it a little aggravating that he tries everything he can to prove to Mia that he cares, and she doesn’t believe him time after time. Some of the book was also cliché but sometimes it works well. Most of these cases do.
So, if you find yourself wanting a cute and fun romcom, this would be a good choice. It would also be a good choice if you’re in a reading funk and need a pick me up.

This has been on my NetGalley shelf for over a year, and I still haven’t picked it up. I've tried, but it just isn't for me (right now). I hope other people enjoy it more than I did.

Mr. Right Across the Street was such a fun, sweet, light romance. Luke and Mia were cute and Luke was the sweetest cinnamon roll gem ever. Mia had some issues to work through but I thoroughly enjoyed watching their relationship evolve. Thank you to HarperCollins and Netgalley for allowing me a copy for an honest review!

This book was just sadly not for me! I was hoping for something different but it turned out to be something I was not expecting, which is okay and I'm sure someone else would love it!

Mia for me wasn't particularly likeable, her character at times grated on me.
Luke however was a star, how he kept trying to prove himself to Mia was impressive many would have given up.
Overall Mr Right Across The Street was an entertaining and enjoyable read.

An entertaining romance. When Mia meets the guy of her dreams, she just knows he will not like her. She is not like the women who dress to impress him. Guess what? She gets the guy.

Fun and a good read. Liked the characters and also the back story for both main characters had a little twist.

I received this book complimentary from NetGalley but all opinions are my own.

This was sweet for sure. I liked the setting and characters. I liked that the setting was almost a character in the book. This honestly was cute with interesting characters and the plot was interesting enough. I almost immediately forgot most of the book after I read it though; this is a good book but formulaic.

A feel good rom com that won't fail to put a smile on your face!

Lost a 🌟 because I thought every girl eve through themselves at Luke was OTT.

But overall a really enjoyable read.

Felt like this book and story dragged way too much. The sense of momentum just never picked up, and whenever I grabbed the book to read, it felt like I was reading the same thing I'd just read because it just kept elaborating on the same issue (heroine thinking hero will never notice her and/or that he's a man slut). It just got tedious to read the same thing all over again all the time, unfortunately

What I read was well enough written, but I'm afraid it was a DNF for me. I just couldn't get on with the MC - I disliked her attitude intensley.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I unfortunately did not enjoy this book at all and didn’t end up finishing it. The main character Mi said some very uncomfortable things towards other women. It turned me off and I was unable to continue.

This was a really fun and humorous rom-com. I loved the relationship between Luke and Mi, it was light-hearted and the perfect read.

Not going to lie, I just couldn't finish this book. I found Mia's mentality towards other girls insuffrable and really negative which turned me off to continue reading. What's wrong with girls that wear makeup and like to wear skirts?

A fun rom com about Luke and Mia. It was a light hearted read and I look forward to reading more by the author! This would be a perfect beach read.
