I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Exciting action thriller featuring Colter Shaw, a reward hunter with a conscience who grew up in a survivalist family and puts his comprehensive skills to good use.

Finding himself competing against another reward hunter and bitter rival, Shaw also discovers a link to a shady and powerful cult which he feels compelled to infiltrate.

Alongside this work, his mission is to uncover clues about his father's death and what he had been working on when he died in order to finish what he started, utilising his unique knowledge and skills. Enraging wealthy and powerful interests, he draws further danger upon himself and his family and also finds unexpected allies along the way.

I do love a Jeffrey Deaver but again this series is different from the ones I truly love but I wanted to give it a try to see how it works. It was an enjoyable read but just not for me as great as the Lincoln Rhyme series.

I was given a free copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.

I usually love Jeffery Deaver, however found myself struggling with this one. I found that I wasn’t so keen to read for long periods so it took me a lot longer to finish than it normally would. Although the characters are good, I found the story a bit confusing and hard to follow at times.

My thanks to the Author publisher's and NetGalley for providing me with a Kindle version of this book to read and honestly review.
Quality writing and entertainment as you would expect from this master storyteller. This is the third book in this series and while there are numerous references to previous adventures this in no way spoilt my enjoyment of this excellent read. Almost nonstop action with plenty of clever twists and surprises along the way.
Completely recommended.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this amazing book

this one carries on from the last book and we find colter looking at the clues his father left behind

colter is in San Francisco looking at the safe house that his father had established and its not long before colter finds himself in danger and someone comes to his rescue...

have to say this book i found very hard to put down...colter seems to be like the equalizer trying to find people and help in situations, but this time with his whole family threatened he is up against a worthy opponent

loved being back in colters world and i hope there are more adventures to come

Colter Shaw is not just your normal PI , he and his siblings were raised in a compound where they were taught to survive under all circumstances - skills he uses in his business .
After his father is murdered by an operative of the Blackbridge Company he is determined to get justice and also perhaps revenge , Using the clues his father has left to find damning documents that would bring the company down he soon finds himself using his survivalist skills to evade being killed himself .
But a PI needs income and he takes on the case of a missing daughter of an illegal immigrant - but is it a trap set by Blackridge ....... he needs to find out ........... time is running out

I have always loved this Author's previous books , although this is my first Colter Shaw book , but I found something missing in this offering . It was not quite up to the high standards of his Lincoln Rhyme books and I found myself a little disappointed - that being said it is an entertaining read .
.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

#NetGalley #TheFinalTwist This is the 3rd in the Colter Shaw series and I do hope that it wont be the last. In the first 2 books, whilst Shaw has continued with his reward business, there have been glimpses into a personal issue that Shaw has been trying to resolve to revenge the death of his father. This book is the culmination of these glimpses and it was definitely edge of the seat, page turning and gripping drama! Whilst it could be read as a standalone as there are enough references to previous intelligence. the reader will get much more enjoyment knowing the background of some of the main characters. Classic Deaver at his best and I sincerely hope that we get to read more about Colter Shaw (and his family) in the future! A great read!

Always love a good Jefferey Deaver read. Compulsive, engaging and captivating. Well written as usual and a bit dark and heavy as only a good crime writer should be. Recommend.

This is the third book in the Colter Shaw crime series where he is trying to track down his father's killer
Lots of twists and turns with slightly dark characters makes this a fast paced engaging novel that's hard to put down

Great 3rd book. Was again lucky to get this as an ARC. Modern day espionage, black ops and all in the sunny US of A.
The story of Colter and his family really has developed well, the background is punched in enough but doesn't overwhelm the entire story.
Great ending and looking forward to what's next for the Shaw family

The third outing for Colter Shaw is a pacy, race against time with a few twists along the way! I would definitely recommend reading the other books in the series to get the most out of this book.
Another great story from Jeffrey Deaver.

I enjoyed this book, the 3rd in the series featuring Colter Shaw, fast paced and an easy read, what more could you want.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read this book in exchange for a review. I will be putting this review on Amazon too.

No other character that Deaver writes divides my personal opinion like the Colter Shaw series. I absolutely loved his introduction in The Never Game, absolutely loved it. In the Goodbye Man I struggled in parts, especially when he was in the Wilderness of Washington State and the Cult. It definitely wasn't a favourite of mine.

In this, the third instalment of the series - The Final Twist - it managed to bring me back once again! I have to be honest, I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick up another Colter Shaw book following The Goodbye Man but I obviously did or I wouldn't be here now!

Full of action from the very beginning, the highlight for me was Colter's brother Russell. I really enjoyed his involvement in the story, really added a little pop ton the adventure.

I am not sure why I didn't like this book as much as the previous books in the series, maybe because I read it as an audiobook? But although I enjoyed the story it seemed very wordy, almost like he was being paid to write more words. Too much description seemed to distract me from the story. Still a great story, just didn't grip me like the previous books.

This is the third book in the series, and an excellent ending to a thrilling series. I enjoyed the series, and wish there was even more in the series. Recommended.

6/10

A decent follow up from the previous two books without ever getting to the level they did. The story didn't grab me like in the first two outings and it just felt a bit long winded by the end. There is dual plot lines throughout, relating to family issues through both, but it didn't feel like there was the usual complexities or twists I've come to expect from this type of novel. It might be after reading a number of novels from an author you pickup on their signposts but I still find myself getting hoodwinked with the Lincoln Rhyme novels.

It wasn't bad though, I didn't find myself being bored but equally I didn't find myself keen to read the next chapter instead of putting it down to go to sleep/do chores etc. which is usually the case with this type of book. It felt like things could have been tied up in this outing but I believe that there are more on the cards from the author, I wouldn't be against continuing this series but maybe my expectations will be a bit lower next time.

Can fiction ever become fact? After reading this book I sincerely hope not.

Colter Shaw describes himself as a private investigator when offering to find a woman’s daughter. It’s the main source of his income. After his father, Ashton was murdered, Colter had taken up his quest; to find and destroy two corporations hell-bent on taking over the world by running governments through businesses rather than a quorum of elected officials.

Colter, his brother Russell, and sister Dorion, or Dorie were raised in a compound where his father taught them how to survive under all sorts of circumstances. A true survivalist’s upbringing with skills he uses in his business.

His father had left clues for him to follow to bring down a corporation called BlackBridge. They had eradicated several of Ashton’s whistleblowers by nefarious means. Armed only with Ashton’s notes and a map, Colter must discover where Amos Gahl had hidden the papers, he’d stolen from BlackBridge, before being murdered.

There’s something very special about Jeffery Deaver that sets him apart from other authors. His storylines are always going to be so totally different from everything else you’ve ever encountered. (And terrifying!) They have a protagonist who you’d like to get to know and supporting characters who are never so outlandish that they’re unbelievable. I had the honour to meet Jeffery Deaver when he gave a talk in Dorchester, UK (I think in 2008) and he is a mild-mannered, charming man and yet, each book he publishes contains another equally brilliant plot that will keep you up, long into the night as you race through trying to work out exactly how the protagonist, be it Lincoln Rhyme or in this case Colter Shaw, are going to find the solution. What a genius! What a talent!

This is the 3rd book in the Colter Shaw series. I didn’t find this one as gripping and interesting as the others in the series even though it answered questions that were raised in book 1 and 2 , I just found it very slow in places
