This book starts off interesting and captures your attention fairly easy. However, when Noah and Chloe actually sit down to have a much-needed conversation after 10 years, nothing happens. The rest of the book is much that way. They have chance encounters but nothing is really happening to repair their relationship. I think the idea was to be less melodramatic (as Chloe mentions) but it doesn't really gain any reader sympathy. This is an okay read, but it leaves you with questions that were never answered.

Wow! This book really elicited the full scope of my emotions. I cannot remember the last time a creative work got me this emotional. I highly recommend this book. The author did a fantastic job with the storyline, really drew you into the storyline, and there was a roller coaster of emotional events throughout. I didn't read the books earlier in the series, yet it made a great stand-alone book. So many times romance books are about people meeting for the first time, but I really love novels like this one that rekindle old lost relationships. This is a book about loss, hope, love.

4.5/5 stars!

This book is about a couple who had never forgot each other even after heartbreak, life, and time has passed after the heroine broke up with the hero without telling him the reason. When they next met, the heroine wants to give themselves closure, but never expecting that the chemistry between them still runs deep. As they learn more about each other in the present time, secrets are unearthed and the two must make a decision about their future.

I was gutted with this story. It didn't help that the previous book before this one that I read (note, not from this series) faced similar situations but faced them with integrity, love, support, and acceptance. It helped that there were supporting parental figures, a close knit group of friends, loving sibling, hilarious neighbors, and the couple's love for each other. Though I hadn't read any of the other books from the series, this book provided enough background information for readers to have a clear image of some of the characters. It also helped that there was a bonus chapter to this story if the reader wanted it. I enjoyed it and look forward to more Jasmin Miller books.

This was a touching second chance story. Chloe and Noah were in love as teenagers, until something happened and Chloe left. Leaving Noah in the dark. Years later Chloe returns. Noah has a lot of resentment towards Chloe. And she feels bad for the past. But they still have. Strong connection with each other. The story was an emotional heartwarming one.

This was my first experience reading Ms. Miller's work but it won't be the last because I intend on reading the first two books in this series as well as some of her other books if I can get my hands on them. This is a second-chance standalone but from my experience I think characters from the previous two books making appearances didn't detract from my enjoyment of Second Dive. Having said all that, I have to say this book really had an emotional impact on me--maybe because I've personally experienced some of the life events that occur in this book. I don't want to give anything away because I went into this book with no preconceived notions and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chloe is such a brave, strong woman and I admire her so much. There were times when I was frustrated with Noah, but then I put myself in his shoes and forgave him for his actions. This book touches on grief, loss and some sensitive subjects, but it's done in a very effective and powerful way. If you're looking for a deep, touching, heartbreaking and heartwarming read, I definitely recommend Second Dive. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

Noah and Chloe’s story was amazing to be a part of, and seeing them reunite after everything they’ve gone through was truly touching. My heart hurts for everything Chloe had to go through alone, and the fact that Noah held so much resentment towards her for a decade without knowing everything.
My only objections to this book were, for one, the dryness of the characters. For two high school sweethearts, Noah and Chloe’s interactions were honestly quite boring and dull compared to some of my other favorite characters. Also, Chloe’s reasoning for not sharing something so important to Noah’s life and their relationship seemed a bit silly considering how much pain it caused them both for nearly a decade. However, I’m not the biggest fan of the misunderstanding trope, so it’s to be expected that I didn’t like that aspect of the book.
I loved how supportive and encouraging Chloe’s mother and uncles were, and the same goes for Daisy, Noah’s sister, and Hunter, Noah’s best friend. Those characters definitely made the book a lot more enjoyable for me. Overall, I would give this book 2.5/5 stars. I’ll definitely look for more of Jasmin’s work(maybe a Daisy and Hunter novel?) to watch her continue to grow as a writer!

When I learned that this book was part of a series I binge read the first two books in the Kings of the Water Series before reading this one and all I can say is Holy Mother of Romance, these books are FIRE! I will admit, I'm an absolute sucker for a good romance, especially a second chance romance such as this one, but this whole series is amazing. Second Dive is a second chance romance that focuses on Noah and Chloe, who loved each other as teenagers, were torn apart, then brought back together by chance as adults. I don't want to give anymore information away but READ THIS BOOK. The characters are amazing, the romance is hot. The plot and the story that evolves as we learn why they were torn apart as teenagers and the reason that they were brought back together and the feelings they experience trying to deal with their emotions were amazing. You feel every feeling with them. This was my favorite book, by far, of the series. It will give you all the feelings. Have you craving more all until the very end and leave you so satisfied all at the same time. As stated before, I read all 3 books in this series, which I totally recommend because they are all amazing, but all 3 of them can be read as stand alone novels and are just as amazing that way. Jasmin Miller has won my heart in the Athletic romance department. Solid romance novel. Loved it.

This is the first book that I’ve read from this author and I must say, I’m not disappointed. I’m not really a fan of sports romances but this one is different.

The story is well written, I love the emotions that this book gave to me, and the characters are very lovable.

I want to give this book a 5/5 but as I read the book, I felt that something is missing. I’m looking for something that will make this book better and I don't know what it is. So a 4/5 for you. Now I’m looking forward to read the first two in the series.

This book was from an Author I had never read from before. The book Second Dive by Jasmin Miller.

For me this book held my attention but did not attack my emotions like I thought it would. We have Noah and Chloe who dated in high school and just dissolved in a way. Than 10 years later Chloe moves back to town in hopes of righting wrongs and apologizing for the whole story of why you have to read the whole book for all the parts to come together. You learn why they ended up not together and if forgiveness can be done.

Chloe is a professional artist, she draws for books and does volunteer work at the hospital. While struggling with some personal turmoil.

Noah is a professional swimmer who has made the Olympics and won many times but now has to decide what to do next. Then pops up the love of his life from high school. Will he learn to forgive and overcome or will he harbor onto the pain of the past.

My favorite part is how we get two flash forwards in this book, each eight years in the future. We learn what happens to each of them and where they are in life.

I am a sucker for sports romances and since I am a former swimmer, this was appealing to me. This is the first swimming sports romance that I have found, read and enjoyed. This novel had great love scenes that weren't too crude or mechanical. I sometimes find myself skimming these scenes in novels because it becomes about the sex not the relationship. This wasn't the case with this novel. I like my romances with a side of angst and emotion. This delivered! I felt the emotion between the two characters and the depth of their love and their pain. I am now finding the rest of the series on Kindle Unlimited after being introduced to the other supporting characters.

There aren't many criticism of this book, but I did find myself skimming some parts of the novel to get to the emotional stuff. Now this could just be me and my own preferences. Some of the angst could have been drawn out a bit more to connect more to the emotions of the reader.

Overall, I am glad I read this book and I will be reading the rest of the series.

I’m very sad I didn’t enjoy this one. And I barely finished it - I had to start skipping around to get through it. I absolutely loved the first two stories in this series. I’m not sure why I didn’t like this one.
I liked Chloe. I’m guessing I didn’t enjoy this one because I could not get myself to like Noah.

A new author for me, I will be going back to read more. Ten years is a long time, and many things can and will happen in that time. Chloe and Noah were together until she broke their hearts. At the time she believed she was doing the right thing. Now they are reunited, and she needs to make it right. Fate has a lot to do with this reunion. Trust is a hard thing to rebuild once shattered, but thanks to the wise people around them support is plentiful. I love the Uncles, the meddling sister, and the kids! This is the third book in the series, but I never felt out of the loop.

Will they get forever this time? Does the universe have other plans?

I'm a die hard second chance romance girl and this book sounds right up my blog.
It's the first novel that i've read by the author and it was interesting to read a new contemporary romance after so many thrillers.
It's well written, fast paced with flawed characters that have to overcome their past mistakes and some other insecurities as well as accepting their life the way it is now and looking for a future together. There are many moments when i wanted to shout at them to be honest and open up and be honest about the past and what their feelings are because their insecurities and fears are reliable as well as understandable but so frustrating at times. It touches a few topics that i haven't read in many romance stories and that's a plus for me because i love how the resolution come in here.
An enjoyable contemporary romance, angsty and with a well deserved happily ever after.

The story is really good, and the two characters are great, i felt they were a good match. The story was well researched

I thought it could have had more pace but I liked it a lot. The wider cast were intriguing.

I am struggling to write this review, because I liked a good portion of the book, but overall it was just an okay read for me. The overall story was really intriguing, deep and engaging - however, I felt like there were way too many internal monologues, and too much “telling” and not enough “showing” in terms of the chemistry and relationship building between Noah and Chloe. I also wanted to have sympathy for Chloe but really the timeline/time that passed and her continuing to hold back the truth just made me dislike her. She said she apologized at the beginning but truly she gave no information, Noah had to figure it out on his own, and ultimately she still didn’t tell the whole story. However overall I am intrigued by the author and I will probably read the others in this series, though this can be read as a standalone.

SO CONFLICTED.

I got into this book so hard. I loved the hint of dark secrets and soul mate past.

The series of coincidences that kept bringing Chloe and Noah together felt natural and were often funny, making me smile at the wry comments and observations.

I liked Chloe, she was a tough nut and her emotions and reactions were quite mature and well-thought out.

Strap in, this is where the conflict begins.

I just could not warm to Noah. I thought he was immature and grumpy and I just couldn't find him attractive. I felt sympathetic towards Chloe but nothing for Noah. I can understand some of his reactions because he had to deal with some shocks. Take some time, deal with it. But Noah came across as sulky and a bit petulant.

I also prefer way more spark, sass and banter in my romances, but that was missing. There was lots of eye clashing and soul mate speeches but none of the flirting and chemistry. In my opinion there were parts which felt completely flat and were very tell don't feel. Our eyes clashed and I felt our connection. Good for you, but I need more than that. Does your heart rate go up? Does it make you breathless? Do you sway into him?
There was chemistry at certain points but not consistently through the book.

It also felt a bit nice and twee at times.

I felt that the dialogue needed to be read through and bulked up a bit. During some of the conversations, which covered some pretty big events and secrets, it felt like information was missing, as though it was a rough outline of what would be said and not the full conversation.

I don't want to spoiler but the meal at the restaurant was a conversation where nothing was said. Chloe wanted to apologise and explain but she didn't explain a thing and then it was over. There was absolutely no substance.

Further, the biggie in the closet, this was all inferred but not explicit. I didn't feel that Chloe properly explained her decision once, I reread it three times to see what had actually been said and again, it was very little. Everything was half thoughts or implications.

Overall, if this had been a bit punchier in terms of spark and banter and if Noah had been more appealing than adolescent I would have been totally into it. Instead, it was a quick and semi enjoyable read but just needed something a bit more to really draw me in.

I read this via Netgalley!

First, I would like to thank Netgalley and the Publisher for this ARC. On a request of the author this review is going to be spoilers free.

This book I first saw on a Instagram of my dear friend, she posted a Cover reveal, so when I saw this on Netgalley and just needed to request it.

This is my first book from this author , and I must say than I am not disappointed. I love the story line about second chance love. The characters are Noah and Chloe are loveable. And so lovely portrayed.

Chloe is a portrayed as a beautiful, smart and such a strong person, that I am in awe in her. She is a true heroine of this story. And Noah is such a sweetheart. I wonder, where can I find a guy like that.

I know this is a third book in the King of the Water series, but I didn’t have a problem just diving in.

This book can easily be read as a standalone. This is a read than you will read in one sitting, because You won’t want to put it down until you read THE END. I must say that I have a little aversion to hot – shirtless-flex- muscles- guy covers. Because they tend to be a fluffy read. Yes I know, don’t judge a book by it’s cover and all that, and now I am doing that exact thing, but I read a ton of books with a similar cover, and they are overly erotic.

Yes, this book has some hot, hot scenes, but in this case I was wrong. This book has a much deeper story, one you need to read to find out. But let me tell you, you won’t be sorry.

This was a 4.5 stars for me.

ARC received for review

Hi! It's me again, the one who hasn't read the first two books. This is a standalone and nothing was confusing or missing by not reading the first two.

Noah and Chloe were high school sweethearts and had their lives mapped out, but then she disappears. Now ten years later she back and wins a date with him in a bachelor auction, but he doesn't know who won him. She apologizes and they start running into each other around town. He finds out why she left and they fall in love again. Then there's another bomb from the past, but they work through that too. There is some help from the previous peeps.

At the end, the author gives a link to a bonus chapter set 8 years in the future...my favorite kind of epilogue.

First time reading one of this author’s books but this had second chance romance trope in it so I give a try and I liked it. The characters were likable and the writing was good.
I really liked Noah and Chloe together, despite the circumstances they try to make their situation work, and in the end, they succeed.
In the end, it's a cute, at times emotional, quick read.
