I liked the idea behind this book but this one did not work for me.

I was a little disappointed as the blurb sounds great but it fell flat and the images didn't really do much for me either,.

I am sure that there will be others that this appeals to more than me and I would encourage them to give it a go and see how they find it. Myself and my daughter just weren't fans this time and she asked me part way through for a different story - I did finish it off on my own later.

It is only 2 stars from me for this one, not one for me sadly.

This is a lighthearted tail of fairies, gnomes and doggies playing in the backyard. The fairies and gnomes started a good natured game of ball and you know doggies can't resist a good game of ball and kind of take over the game . The illustrations in the story are delightful. They really add a lot to the story. You can almost picture them playing in your backyard among the flowers. Children will love this cute little story.

Er… Three bulldogs want to play tag with three fairies in the garden, until the gnomes complain about them being on 'their side of the lawn'. They play some made-up ball game, or they do until about five seconds in when one of the dogs steals the ball, the fairies prevent an argument, the end. I was going to be lambasting the exceedingly awkward artwork this comes with, but no – the semblance of a story had to be first in the queue, much like a bulldog trying to get through its "doggy door" before its litter-mates. I could not begin to recommend this title.

This story was cute enough, but my dog loving toddler really didn't enjoy it sadly. It didn't really keep her attention, and she didn't love the illustrations.

Fairy-Tail Football is a nice little story which I expected to be more magical with it involving fairies but my 4 year old son loved it so much he asked me to read it again to him straight away.

Thank you to NetGalley and Indigo River Publishing for my ARC.

I was expecting something more magical with this book. I don’t expect it would be the sort of book that they would ask to reread each night.

Not as magical as some stories involving fairies as it’s a short and basic story with very little story progression. I would’ve liked more substance, perhaps a lesson to be learnt, a moral or something exciting. Sorry, personally I don’t think kids would pick this book up more than once.. I’m grateful to Netgalley and publisher for the chance to provide my honest review.

A short and sweet story about dogs and fairies playing a game outside. I’m not sure how appealing this would be to a younger audience, perhaps to fairy and dog lovers.
