Eye catching illustrations pair with a very poignant message about achieving your goals and chasing your dreams. Wish it would have had a bit more detail in the text.

This is a great kids book that shows you can achieve your goals if you work towards it hard enough. The illustrations are really cute and very eye-catching.

This is a children's book. I felt this was a cute book, and it had a cute message for kids. I just felt it was just another children's book. The pictures was cute. I read it to my twin boys, and they liked it ok. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Pepper Plum Publishing) or author (Celina Lagnado) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

The simple, colourful illustrations of Moon Pig should be enough to engage even the most restless of chid should be enamoured for a short time period. Perfect for a bedtime story as the narrative is simple, and sends a good message to all children. Perfect for a gift (so long as the family receiving is okay with space travel) and Canadian! Of course Canadian books are always this Canadians first choice when/if possible!

Please note: I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is an honest and unbiased review.

My granddaughter loves the story and the pictures, she requests that we read this book frequently and sometimes multiple times a night.

The story is simple. It’s a young pig telling the reader about their desire to go to the moon and what it will take to get there. It reads and looks immature. The pictures could have been done by a kid and there are times where it seems like the story is missing something. Pig gathers supplies, okay tell me what supplies not just show it as an illustration.

I was drawn in to reading this book because of the adorable cover! I also love space, pigs and whimsical illustrations.

A cute little pig has big ideas and dreams. He plans to fulfill them on an adventure to the moon.

Gosh, I was really hoping for better things from this story.

I work in an elementary school and feel like a little more effort could have been placed on the interior artwork and storyline. The idea was definitely great, encouraging kids to follow their dreams and work hard, but my students would've lost interest.

Thank you to Netgalley, Pepper Plum Publishing and Celina Lagnado for an ecopy of this book. All opinions included in this review are mine.

This was a quick read with a cute concept. Pig is a dreamer and plans to go to the moon (what kid doesn't want to go to the moon?) The story fell flat. The illustrations we're not interesting which is incredibly important for a children's book. Even the placement of the text was unimaginative. This book was not for us.

I had high hopes for Moon Pig as the synopsis was very cute. The story itself was fun and adventurous however the illustrations are just as important in a childrens book and that is really where this fell flat for me. The illustrations felt very unfinished and underwhelming. Unfortunately this isn't a book I could reccomend unless the illustrations were reconsidered and redone.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free in exchange of my honest opinion.

This book did not resonate with me. Judged by the cover it looks like a fun book, but the illustrations are not fun and the content is not either. The story is not bad per se, but there isn't anything captivating or special about it. Plus, penguins don't live at the North Pole!

Moon Pig by Celina Lagnado and Leo Lagnado is a children's book currently scheduled for release on December 1 2020. Pig is a dreamer and he is planning to go to the moon. Join Pig in his adventure as he works to make his dream a reality. After lots of planning and hard work he puts together a rocket and flies off to his adventure. A book for young children about possibilities, imagination, and big dreams.

Moon Pig is a cute picturebook about a young pig that dreams of going to the moon. He seems to have talked about it ad dreamed about it for awhile, and uses his imagination and crafting skills to make it happen, and still make it home in time for dinner. I think the story itself was very cute, and one that kids can relate to and emulate, using their own imagination to take journeys of their own. The pages were colorful and told the story well, but I was not wowed by the book. It was cute, but the illustrations felt a little clunky and childlike- which could be the aesthetic they were going for- but it just dd not work for me. I think some young readers will really enjoy it, but it did not make me as happy as I had hoped.

This one was cute, and it was a nice story. However, I'm not a big fan of the color scheme used in the art or how the illustrations were put together. However, I do think it got it's message across of trying to teach the little ones about resourcefulness, work-ethic, determination, and bringing your dreams to life. I think this would be appealing and interesting to someone small. I would like to see it in the format of a board book.

This is a cute little children's book about a pig who dreams about going to the moon. The graphics are lovely and my daughter enjoyed reading this book with me.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This beautifully illustrated book is about a pig, but not just another pig. This pig dreams of going to the moon — and actually does it. A sweet tale of chasing your dreams and following through with them.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for access to this arc.

I'm sorry but I won't be reviewing this one. As others have said, the idea sounded cute but the execution was not well done. I didn't think the illustrations were cute and the story itself was a little boring. DNF

I just wish this tiny storybook was far more better than this.

The writting is fine. The cover is quite good too.

But it's the main content, the illustrations that didn't work out. Like at all. It's just like some bad graphic designs put on the computer screen in a haste.

I wish more efforts were put into the book.

Thanks publisher and the author for this copy.

Why so many writers want to associate a pig with the Moon I do not know, but there are a few out there! Pig Jumps Over the Moon by Jeff Dinardo is one; The Little Pig, the Bicycle, and the Moon, by Pierrette Dubé is another, and The Pig Who Sang to the Moon by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson is a third. I haven't read any of those, but I did read this one and was amused and pleasantly impressed with it. It paints a fine porktrait of an animal with a mission and a strifng ambition.

"Pig" dreams of visiting the Moon, and through diligence and hard work manages to put together a rocket and a space suit and heads on out there to do just that, landing safely, exploring, and returning in time for dinner. The writing is sweet and the pigtures amusing. I commend this as a worthy fantasy read for young children.

A nice little book about a pig who wants to travel in space. I loved the illustrations. A simple but effective story.
Easy to read along with a child and if needed you can make up your own story with the pictures.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC

I wanted to love this after reading the cute premise. Unfortunately, the art style had very little charm and the story itself lacked intrigue.

Thank you to the publisher for this ARC.
